After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Was he really going to stick with that? He wasn't even going to try to compare the two of them? However it did make sense since both Okami and Chi were on opposite sides of the gender spectrum it still couldn't hurt to give him a score. Still if he insist that Okami try and convince him... "Convince eh? Or do you just really love me that much Yuu~ Well if you insist~" He leaned in and planted his lips onto Yuu's and let his tongue and lips do the rest of the talking for him.
It had been unexpectedly easy to cull the blonde into kissing him again. Yuu's leg rose against Okami, knee gently rubbing against hardened, sensitive flesh, when there was pounding at the front door along with a gruff male voice calling for “Kamizuru Yuu” to wake up, or if he was even home. Growling in obvious irritation, the said Kamizuru flung the blanket off and swung his legs off the edge of the bed. It sounded urgent and he didn't have time to properly dress. Lovely.
“Sorry buddy.”
Feeling around the side table revealed no glasses; they must have been left out in the living room. Ruffling a hand in his purple hair in an attempt to smooth it down, Yuu groped around for some clothes in the dark. Pulling on some boxer shorts, the shirt Yuu had found fit a little too loosely; this one wasn't his. Continued pounding at the door meant he shouldn't bother to find his and he went to answer the door, arms crossed over his chest to obscure the shape of it.
“Is something wrong?”
That was Yuu's first response, rather than a hello. He'd been expecting someone from the Tsuchikage's office or something for an emergency summons, but at his door stood Kirigaya Takeshi, someone he recognized from the emergency department of the main hospital. If he was at Yuu's door, then something wasn't right.
“Do you know Kamizuru Chiyoko?”
That was enough to put a tingle of cold worry in Yuu's chest, and the resulting expression was the only answer Takeshi needed.
“She was attacked several miles outside of the village. She's requesting for you to be there.”
Yuu felt his stomach drop. What?
“Thanks for telling me. I'll be there soon.”
With a bow to the man, Yuu closed the door. Staying with his hand on the knob, he stared at the dark wood, trying to absorb that information. Attacked? By what? Who? How? He looked back to the bedroom where the blonde was waiting. Fuck... Swiping his glasses from the couch cushion, Yuu returned to the bedroom.
“We have to go to the hospital,” he said to the wolf, forgetting for a moment that that may not be in Okami's best interest, “Chi was attacked.”
Everything about the moment was perfect, then someone knocked on the door and the moment was shattered like glass against concrete. Yuu pulled away and went to answer it, leaving Okami alone and naked in the bed. Well that was rude wasn't it? Reaching to the floor beside him Okami managed to pull up the boxers he was wearing hours earlier and slipped them on as he made his way to the door frame of the bedroom, ears open and listening to what was going on in the living room.
It was hard to hear what exactly was being said and just right before he could make out Chi's name Yuu suddenly came back into the room and told him to get dressed. Chi was hurt and they were heading to the hospital to see her. Chi, well there was a name that was a total boner killer, still if she was hurt he couldn't be mad at her, still...there was something odd about it all. "Chi? Attacked? What the hell was she doing all the way out here?" Was she planning on dropping in unannounced?
"Chi? Attacked? What the hell was she doing all the way out here?"
“I don't know but we'll find out,” Yuu said, pulling the shirt off over his head as he went into the room. Balling it and tossing it to the blonde, Yuu set about searching for his own clothes. Pulling on his pants, Yuu realized he couldn't find his binder.
“Where the hell did you fling it, mutt...” he muttered to himself before giving up and digging through a drawer for a baggy sweater. In lieu of combing his hair, the medic stuffed a hat on his head and was good to go. Why was everyone getting hurt lately? He'd already decided he wasn't going to let Okami out of his sight, and now this?
Catching his shirt the blonde slid into it and put on the rest of his basic clothing. Once is shoes were on and Yuu got his signature hat on the two of them raced to the door with Yuu asking Okami his thoughts on the matter. Guess he shouldn't say what he was probably thinking, Yuu would probably stab him with an arrow.
"Maybe she was sent to deliver something or came back to see you on her own. Or she forgot something at your place, we can ask her once we get there!" And with that he jumped out the door and onto the roofs of the other houses as he made his way to the hospital.
"Maybe she was sent to deliver something or came back to see you on her own. Or she forgot something at your place, we can ask her once we get there!"
“No, she only left this morning... she could have forgotten something.”
Well, they'd find out. Following the blonde, the two made their way to the hospital. As always with an emergency call to the hospital, Yuu prepared for the worst. That way when it was as bad as his mind had fabricated, then he could feel a little relief.
