After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

As he watched her and her lion finish their food and introduce themselves Okami followed her out into the busy streets and was greeted with the sight of Rin creating a large crystal panther and getting on top of its back and extending a hand out to help him up. He seriously needed to learn that jutsu, it could really come in handy. "I do like me some style." The wolfboy said with a grin as he took her hand and climbed onto the large cat, "So is this how you usually get around town? I figure you right your little kitty around considering how big he can get."

Rin grinned happily when his large hand gripped her own, pulling him up behind her.
"So is this how you usually get around town? I figure you ride your little kitty around considering how big he can get."
The jounin stuck her tongue out.
“Nope, I'm just showing off. I usually do ride Rasta, or just walk. Hold on tight Okami-kun, the ride may be a bit bumpy.”
Putting her hands down onto the beast below her, she clung to it using her chakra, little Rasta huddled between her legs and her arms. The still creature became animate, crystal cracking together at the joints as the tail swayed and the legs bent into a more “natural” position. From there, it pounced, leaping across the path with heavy, thundering pawsteps, deftly avoiding the passersby as they tore through the town. The crystalline feline was much too heavy to take to the rooftops and avoid traffic altogether, but she had no problem navigating the village. It only took them a few minutes to reach the training grounds with the large strides of the figure, and its large claws gouged into the earth as it came to a full stop, stilling into a statue once more. Scooping up her mini-lion, Rin slid off the pink panther, feet landing flat on the ground.

His hands held onto the back of the panther as it started to move. His eyes scanned the village surroundings as well as its people, some scowling at him since he wore his village headband around his arm for the world to see. Soon they reached the training fields and Okami gladly hopped off while still eyeing the crystal cat to make sure it was still a statue. "Yeah, it was kinda fun. So what's first on this training agenda you have in mind?" He said as his hands moved to his hips while his eyes glanced around.

"Yeah, it was kinda fun. So what's first on this training agenda you have in mind?"
Rin idly pulled on her black gloves in thought.
“How about we start with something simple?” she decided, holding her hands up as if cupping water. “I call this Sukoshi no Ookimono, or Little Figurine.” She cupped the hands over eachother as if holding something precious within, and for lack of an idea, she made a miniature replica of the shinobi who stood before her, pose mirroring the real thing. He hands came apart as the shape formed, maxing out at four inches long. She then held it up, showing the sanguine-red crystal, a much darker hue than that of the stationary panther nearby. “It's limited only to your imagination. You must make highly condensed crystal and create a fully-dimensional replica. Takes a lot of concentration to get the shape right, but I think it's worth it, like art. You can make all sorts of trinkets with it, but I've found pretty handy uses for things. You try. Make a miniature of my panther.”

He watched as the woman folded her hands over each other and made a small miniature Okami crystal figure. The wolf boy bent over a little bit to get a closer look before Rin asked him to try his hand at it. "Make one of...the panther? Thought I'd be doing something simpler but okay." He held out his hands in a similar cupped manner before closing them over each other and concentrated as crystal began to form around his palms. His mind went to work imagining the panther in his head, trying its hardest to focus on the small details and transferring it to his chakra.
Soon enough he felt his hands feel heavy and he unfolded them to reveal a figurine, of what he assumed to be the panther. It wasn't as accurate as the larger one however, its face was squished and missing a leg, and the rest of its feet were nothing but nubs. The body was jagged but at the very least it was shaped somewhat correctly. "Hm...well I wouldn't get it right away huh?"

"Make one of...the panther? Thought I'd be doing something simpler but okay."
Rin blinked a little blankly, then looked back at her statue. Weren't panthers simple? Well, everyone was different. Maybe what seemed easy to her was just hard for him. They'd have to see how well he did this. When he revealed his creation, the jounin giggled into her fist.
"Hm...well I wouldn't get it right away huh?"
The woman took the “panther” from him, examining it. It was crude and poorly made, but by looking at it you could tell what it was supposed to be. She didn't really have an example of a learning curve to put the taller male on, so she merely pocketed the creation.
“We'll try something simpler then. Make a ball. Don't worry about getting it perfectly spherical, but get it as heavy and smooth as you can.”

"Easy peasy! So is there anything else you want me to make? Or do you have some words of wisdom to help me concentrate a little better? I'm all ears lady."
Rin smiled, taking the ball from him to examine it. The ball was impressive, and she held it up to the sky to look through it. It was perfectly round, the surface shined, and there was an ever-so-slight amount of light that shone through it. Satisfied, she handed the ball back.
“Nice job, kid. One more try and we can move on. Try making a little animal or shape from your imagination. It can be simple, but make sure it's something you're confident you can picture well enough to craft.”

Watching Rin look at his little crystal ball and give him some positive praise made the boy feel nice inside. Like he just aced a pop quiz with flying colors or something. Guess even if he was captured by an enemy his ego would shine through and through. Once she was done she asked for him to make another figurine, this time to make something that was a bit more complex than a simple orb. He was sure he could do something like that as long as she didn't care for exotic details.
"Alright, small, small... Think I know something." He repeated the motions once more, crystal forming in his hands as he revealed his figurine, this one in the shape of a rather larger than normal bee. It was a little rough around the edged and wasn't as detailed as a bee, but the small outlines he made around the body did show where the important parts were supposed to be. "Better right?"

"Alright, small, small... Think I know something."
Rin watched with interest as he made a new object. What would he make, she wondered. A favorite animal, or a person, or a food... the possibilities were endless! Even so, she was surprised when he opened his hands to reveal a crystal bug. Was that a bee?
"Better right?"
The woman inspected the figurine. Compared to the last two, it was quite well-made. She wouldn't delve into why he chose a bug of all things, some people just had different tastes in animals.
“Nicely done! Now we can move on to the harder stuff.”
This time, Rin held her hand out, forming a new crystal shape. She crafted a hand-held bludgeoning mallet. It was simple, if not a bit rough. The details weren't put into a beautiful weapon here, but into a weapon that would not break easily with use. Gripping it with her hand, she took a few paces to a training post and hammered it with the mallet, leaving a dent in the wood. She then tossed the mallet to Okami.
“Even though they're simpler, weapons are harder. You have to make them so they don't break. But if you learn to make 'em, you could help stock your team on missions with gear.”

Looking back at his work the wolf boy smiled, he would be sure to take this back to show yuu, well if he ever got back from this crazy country. Pocketing the little bee he watched the lady created a mallet out of crystal and smash it against the wood, denting it while the mallet seemed completely fine. "Wow... That's some hard rock." The boy said with amazement as she explained the principle behind her little trick.
"So less focus on look and more on toughness, that's my specialty." The boy said as he cracked his fingers and clasped them together and imagined the shape of a spear in between them. Slowly crystal began to form into a long rod, about four feet tall and ten centimeters in diameter from within his hands, yet the wolf boy seemed to be sweating something fierce as he stopped to gasp for breath. "Okay...harder than I thought...but good start yeah?" He asked as he inspected his work and twirled it in his hand only to have it hit his head. "ow..."

"Wow... That's some hard rock."
Rin puffed her chest like a peacock. Praise was nice.
"So less focus on look and more on toughness, that's my specialty."
She observed as he poured his energy into making something. It was long and thick and seemed to be taking a lot out of him. She nodded at his statement, but then the male had to go and try showing off.
“Hah!” she laughed out loud, finding that absolutely hilarious. Silly boy.
“Well, you can certainly hit someone with it and do damage. Whack it against the post to see if its hard enough.”

Rubbing his head a hint of red spread across Okami's face as the woman was laughing at him. "C'mon, its not that funny you know." The blonde angrily whined as he gripped his stick and listened to her instructions. Nodding the boy charged at the post and whacked it with the stick, chipping off bits of the post but denting it was a no go. "Hm...guess its not thick enough? Or do I need a different shape?" If shape was the case then he had an idea of what sort of weapon he could make.

Shape he was familiar with already? Well that was a no brainer for the blonde Iwa shinobi as he tightly gripped his stick and focused his chakra into it. "I know just the thing." Soon the crystal reshaped itself so that instead of a simple pole it was now a thin blade that Okami gave a few test swings with to get a feel for its weight before turning and slashing the post, cutting into it from the left as the blade dug deep and was stuck. "That's better! Though, wish it went the entire way through." Groaned the boy as he struggled to pull the blade out only to snap it in two. "Whoops."
