After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Although Waribou had 'lost' his recent spar with Ryu, he still felt as if he gained a valuable amount of experience. He was able to think on his toes, and being an academy student, he fared pretty well against an experienced Chunin. It was time for his favorite part of training, the resting that came after a grueling session. Although he was crafty and resourceful he was also lazy.
The pint sized shinobi was in one of his favored places. Underneath a palm tree in the shade, with a cigar between his lips. It had previously been lit, allowing him to take an occasional puff or two. Tendrils of smoke flailing around his face and extending themselves to the sky, he was relaxing, without a care in the world it would seem. His hands were his pillow, his favorite position to lay.
Things couldn't have been more perfect, if it hadn't been for the Genin exam coming only in a few short days. He was prepared no doubt, but being a perfectionist at heart, he found himself conflicted about how he would do as a shinobi. If Ryu was even right about him, he was fast, and could create a strategy for success from any situation. Yet, he didn't know many jutsu.
Rolling on his right elbow and sitting up he gazed out into the sun, it was bright and blazing, an early morning yet the desert heat was the same as always. A slight breeze picked up, making it seem as if the wind itself was smoking his cigar with him. These were strange times in Suna. Filled with stranger times and people.
He was leaving today. In a way, Yuu was kind of sad to leave. A different village was interesting, kind of like a vacation. But to even walk around the village he needed to keep the symbol of Iwagakure tucked safely away in his bag. Even though Yuu meant no harm, people seeing he was foreign put them at obvious unease. It had just been too long since the villages interacted.
As he passed through an area looking for the market (he wanted a few supplies before he set back off into the desert), a vaguely familiar scent on the wind caught his attention. It didn't take long to identify it; it was a surprisingly common treatment for a variety of ailments. Amoooong other things. It was just not something he thought he'd come across here.
Following the source led him to find a young child under a tree, the source of the smoke from a stick in his lips. Yuu frowned. The medic highly doubted there was anyone low enough (and he'd met some pretty low people) to distribute cannibus to a child, meaning he most likely stole it. Even if he had nothing to do with the child, Yuu wanted to scold him. Approaching the child under the tree, he went through the handsigns and placed his hand on the bark of the tree, withdrawing a handful of water. Opening his palm, the water dropped on the kid's face, successfully extinguishing the burning joint.
“Don't you have better things to do with your time, big guy? A kid doesn't need to be lounging about and smoking.”
TEKIHUTSU [EXTRACTION] C|| NINJUTSU || SUITON || CLOSE || SUPPLIMENTARY Yuu is able to extract water from the ground, plants, and air. He is not, however, able to extract from humans or animals. This water then has a variety of uses, but it's generally used to provide drinking water, as he can also extract impurities from it. Unless he has a container to put the water in, he can only extract a mouthful at a time. This jutsu allows his teammates and himself to travel not only without need to carry water but also with no need to find it when traveling.

A slight hissing noise filled Waribou's ears as a cold sensation washed over his face. Someone had poured water on him, and more importantly, his weed. In a fit of rage and confusion he jumped to his feet and looked up tot he person responsible. He had never seen this 'man' before, and upon taking in his form, he noticed his odd colored eyes, and the bow he had strapped to his back.
"Yo, what the fuck?!"
Waribou shouted tossing the wet cigar, brushing a few droplets of water from his shirt. He then shook a few from his hair, wildly, similar to the way a dog would after an unwanted bath. Taking a step back away from the man he narrowed his eyes menacingly and parted his lips.
"Oh yeah? Like a grown ass man should be creepin' round watchin' kids? The hell are you?"
Waribou's speech wasn't very formal or even proper but one would be wrong to take that as a representation of his wit. He clinched his fist and reached his other hand into his hip pouch, as if the two were in some sort of standoff. Judging by his height, he was at least a Genin, but without a for head protector it was hard to tell if he was even a ranked shinobi at all. Although he seemed frail, it appeared he used suiton jutsu to put Waribou's blunt out. That took some skill, no matter how small the amount had been.
“Oh yeah? Like a grown-ass man should be creepin' round watchin' kids? The hell are you?” Aw, the boy looked ready to attack, too. Well it was no wonder. “You got a problem? I can solve it for you.”
“I'm Yuu.”
There was a friendly smile towards the child; Yuu had openly earned the smart-assery. But now he kind of wanted to pick on the boy for doing something he wasn't supposed to do.
“A bit of a problem, yes. I got lost and found you, and thought maybe you could give me directions. But it looks like you could use some directions instead.”
Pulling the recorve off his back, Yuu bent at the knee, crouching to retrieve the snuffed cigar with his left hand after setting the long weapon on the ground.
“Did you roll this yourself?” he asked, thumb running across the loose edge of the wet paper, unhitching it with his nail. The leaves were still wet and crushed together rather than dried in flakes, which answered the question“It's rather good quality. Good for treating countless ailments.” Tipping his hat, Yuu extended his right hand towards the child. “It's nice to meet you, I'm a medic. Now who might you be?”
