After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Chi nodded. "I don't do it to everybody, though," she pointed out. "Only nice people. People that I like. Isn't that okay?" He was probably going to say no, she realized after she'd asked it, and sighed.
She had another, better question, though. "An' Yuu... what kinda touching are you talking about?"

Chi gave him a blank look. "Uhm..." She pondered the question for a moment. "It's where babies come from?" That was about it, to be completely honest. Yuu was right; nobody had had this talk, whatever that meant, with her. Being that she didn't have anybody to give her any sort of talks, she was ignorant of a lot of things.
"Uhm..." That was the face of someone who knew nothing. "It's where babies come from?"
He sighed. Giving sex talks was not in his job description as tour guide. Nor was it in his area of medicine. Wouldn't be the first time he'd have to give it, though.
“Yes, it's where babies come from. When a biological male and biological female—biological meaning the way they were born—have intercourse, the female has a chance of getting pregnant. Sex can also be had between two biological males, or two biological females, with no chance of pregnancy, however there are still risks.”
Yuu was conditioned to use the word “biological” in these talks; because even though he identified as a man, his body was female and could get pregnant. It was something he never wanted to think about. Monthly menstruation was bad enough. Speaking of which.
“A girl is old enough to get pregnant when she starts having her periods, usually once a month for about a week, in her early teens. During the month, the uterus—where the baby grows—lines itself with fluffy padding made of blood to cushion a baby. Well, when no baby happens, your body needs to empty out the old padding to make new padding. That's what menstruation is. Two weeks after your period is ovulation, which essentially means it's the best time for you to get pregnant. I guess in cat terms, ovulation would be a “heat”.”
Yuu paused. Did... cat people have periods? How did that even work? Were all their organs the same as a human's, even? It was shame they were so rare, Yuu would be rather interested in getting a hold of a cadav—
“But a woman can only get pregnant if she gets sperm from a man. There are a handful of methods for this, but the most common is vaginal intercourse, which essentially goes like this.” He held up his hands. Normally at the clinic there were models he could use, but he'd have to lamely make do with hand gestures. With his left hand, he held up one finger. “A man's penis enters—” he held up his right hand in a loose fist “—a woman's vagina—” he pushed his finger into his fist “—and that's intercourse.”
Yuu needed to get paid more for this.
“There are a lot of different kinds of sex that can be had with the mouth, anus, and toys, and there are fetishes that like hell I'm going to go into. Places like your breasts or between your legs, among others, are sensitive and highly sexualized, and being touched there is the kind of touching that I was talking about. The reason why you shouldn't get so snuggly with people whom you don't know is that you could make them want to take advantage of you and do those things. Some people are nice and won't touch you even if they want to. Some people aren't, however, and will do what they want with you regardless of how you feel about it, and can very badly hurt you. That's what rape is, and it can be done by both females and males. People lie. You can't trust them until you've gotten to know them.”

Chi listened to Yuu's talk with a rapt expression on her face. Nobody had ever taken the time to explain any of this stuff to her. Well, she knew what pregnancy and menstruation were, at least - but no one had ever told her how or why those things happen and what was going on inside a woman's body when they occurred. And she kind of knew what heat was - now that had been an awkward conversation and trip to the library. She knew more about the way cats reproduced than she ever wanted to, to be quite frank.
She couldn't help but giggle a little when he 'demonstrated' how intercourse worked. Immature, yes, but all the same she was amused.
"Uhm, yeah. What kinda risks are there when a girl has sex with another girl? An' what's a fetish?" She sort of wanted to ask him more about how ovulation worked - but since she wasn't sure if her heats worked the same way, she didn't know if whatever information he had to share would be accurate. "I don't know if my body works the same way as a normal person's. I've never had anybody to ask..." And, while she was certain that she could find a medic willing to examine her, she wasn't sure she wanted someone she didn't know poking around her private parts...

"Uhm, yeah. What kinda risks are there when a girl has sex with another girl? An' what's a fetish?"
Of course, she had to ask about fetishes. That would be a great thing to explain.
“The main issue with same-sex intercourse is sexually transmitted diseases, which you can get from other people, or in some cases, be born with it if your mother had it. There are tests you can take to see if you're clean of these diseases are not, but if you've never had sex, it's a pretty good bet that you don't have a disease. And a fetish...” He paused, thinking about his own, and a few other common ones, a little color starting to dust his face. “Some people find certain body parts attractive than the norm, such as arms or legs instead of eyes or a smile. Other people have a thing for haircuts or... uhm. How they “play” with their partner and I don't want to talk more about that you can go to the library.”
She still seemed to have more questions.
"I don't know if my body works the same way as a normal person's. I've never had anybody to ask..."
Yuu hummed, thinking about how to answer that one. A gynecologist would probably be the best answer for that, but that was not Yuu's area of medicine and for the love of god he'd never want it to be.
“You'd probably need to see a gynecologist, which is a doctor who specializes in the reproductive health of females. Although for your case, you might need a vet on the team? I'm not really quite sure...”
Imagining a veterinarian giving her an exam would be amusing, but at the same time, Yuu needed to push all thoughts of that kind of thing out of his head. Somehow.
“Is there anything else you want to know?”
If she was done with questions and understood, breakfast would be nice.

She could tell - even though the reddening of his cheeks was faint - that he really didn't want to talk to her about fetishes. She couldn't, however, imagine why. Couldn't be that bad, could it? Oh well - no use pressing the subject if he didn't want to talk about it. Chi would just do as he had suggested and go to the library. Not that that had gone well last time...
"No, that's all, for now. If I think of anything else, though, I'll ask you," she replied, stomach growling. "I hope you have some kind of meat in your fridge. I'm hungry~"

"No, that's all, for now. If I think of anything else, though, I'll ask you," Thank god. "I hope you have some kind of meat in your fridge. I'm hungry~"
Yuu blinked at her. Just what did he have? He had pork meat there about two days prior, but he finished it.
“Uh... I have bologna and sandwich ham. Will that be good?”
It would have to be. Heading to the kitchen, he pulled the wrap of ham out, placing it on the counter to look for bread and cheese. Yuu didn't particularly care what food he had for what meal. He was fine eating steak for breakfast and pancakes for dinner. Hopefully she'd be good with ham and cheese sandwiches.

Chi gave him an almost disdainful look. "The only meat you have is sandwich meat? I'm gonna have to go grocery shopping sometime," she told him. "I'm kind of more of a carnivore than regular people. I need a diet high in meat and chicken and fish, or I'll get sick." Those years that she had lived on her own and not been able to cook were proof enough of that. She couldn't live on ramen noodles and fruit and sandwich meat. Sandwich meat! Most of that stuff was hardly meat at all.
"...I guess I'll settle on the ham for now," she decided with a sigh. The girl didn't wait for him to get bread and cheese out - she wasn't the biggest fan of bread, and if she had too much dairy she'd get sick - and just rolled some slices of ham into nice little cylinders and started munching.

Yuu huffed at her dismissal of his food. But if she needed meat then it couldn't be helped.
“I don't have meat because I can't really cook it. I can boil chicken, but that's about the best I can do. If you want to go shopping, let me know and I'll show you the supermarkets.”
While she juts focused on eating the ham, Yuu made himself a sandwich to eat. He was basically out of work for the duration of Chi's stay and was her official babysitter. Doing training and conditioning probably wouldn't be an option, unless she wanted to join him. If she was a genin that meant she had some skills... and it would be a good method to teach her about her bees as well. Yuu could give her a run down of basics and Kyo could show her how to really use them.

"...you can't cook?" The girl raised a brow, surprised. The mighty ninja, overcome by pots and pans. "Well, I guess I'll be doing it, then. I've been feeding myself for years, so I'm pretty good at it."
She finished off her sandwich ham and licked her fingers. Meh. It wasn't the literal worst thing she'd ever eaten, but it wasn't very good either. Too salty. And the texture was kind of weird. But hey, food was food. "Yeah, I want to teach you how to cook meat without burning your house down."

"...you can't cook?" Yeah, yeah, make fun of the guy who can't cook. "Well, I guess I'll be doing it, then. I've been feeding myself for years, so I'm pretty good at it."
“Oh. Well, okay.”
Hey, he wasn't going to stop anyone who wanted to cook.
"Yeah, I want to teach you how to cook meat without burning your house down."
Or who wanted to teach him. Though, Okami had tried before and hadn't succeeded.
“Well, I'm definitely not going to complain about that. If you want to spend the day cooking, then yeah, we need to go shopping. Let's finish eating and we can go.”

Chi grinned and her ears perked up. "Eat fast, Yuu~ We gotta get there early so I can pick out the best cuts~" Yes, they were expensive, but if she was going to teach him how to cook a proper meal, she was going to do it right. Heck, she would even go after the dreaded vegetables - especially since she had to keep the dietary needs of a normal person in mind. "By the time I'm done with you, you should at least be able to make an edible stew." Yeah, she wasn't setting her goal too high.
Yuu did as told, eating quickly. Might be fun. Learning how to make a stew would be a nice change of pace from ramen and instant rice. Hopefully it wouldn't be a failed experiment. Hopefully she taught better than Okami.
“Let's get going, then. There's a store two blocks straight down from the entrance of our district.”

"Ooh, Yuu, can we explore the village some too? I've never really seen another shinobi village, 'cept for in pictures." She fully intended to know the ins and outs of Iwagakure before she left, because if all went well, she would certainly be visiting again.
She slipped on her sandals and darted out of the house, not waiting for the boy. Several moments later, she popped her head back in the door. "I have no idea where I'm going."
