After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Flames seemed to blaze around the individual as he danced upon the edge of a waist-high fence, impeccable balance keeping him from tipping on the wider movements. His face was serene, shimmering eyes focused on the flames between his fingers. Once the flame grew large enough, the male brought his hands to his lips and blew, sending the soft flame at his audience. The blaze took the form of a blazing five-tailed fox, bounding on invisible surfaces as it greeted those who were closest to Lowe. At the last person, the fox of fire dispersed into nothingness, signaling the end of that trick.
Life as an entertainer meant all eyes on him, and that was exactly how Lowe liked it. His five tails continued to sway like fire, the shimmering heat only enhancing the illusion. Dropping one of his long tails, the fox circled a nearby child's waist and lifted her from the ground. Setting her feet on his own and holding her small hands, Lowe continued to dance on the thin top-edge of the fence. He was going to earn a lot of money today, he was sure. Audience interaction was always a little token that was loved. Scooping her up, the gypsy delicately dropped from the fence onto his feet, returning the little girl to her mother and taking a bow.
It was always sad when an act was over, but even someone such as him needed a break now and then. Lowe retrieved his sack from the ground and brushed the dust from it, a satisfying jingle of coins ringing out as he wiped. Kissing his fingers, he waved with a smile and walked away. The village was a small one, food and lodging would be cheap. Perhaps he could find others to captivate between now and then. The sparkle of admiration in an audience's eyes always made it worth it. Jutsu Used: Kirameki [Shimmer] Kongofue Baransu [Unshakable Balance] Hakanai Hono [Ephemeral Flame]
Iku, as one might assume, was not exactly good at doing what she was told. That would be why she was in Hi no Kuni watching a wandering entertainer perform tricks with fire instead of at home in bed. She'd called her new sensei and pretended she was sick and asked to be excused from training until she felt better, and he, not knowing any better, had said that was perfectly acceptable. Then she had packed a bag and slipped out of the village, in search of something fun to do. Fire Country was far away, yeah, but it was a place she'd never been before and thus had to be explored sometime.
The gypsy's show was entertaining, and she didn't mind dropping some coins into his sack. With the way he acted around fire, one might think he was a being made of the element. Not to mention the fact that he had five big fluffy tails that, from his use of them, seemed pretty damn real. The young woman itched to grab one and stroke it, although he probably wouldn't appreciate that very much.
As the crowd dispersed, she watched him, contemplating how to approach him. Ah, fuck it. Might as well go for the usual...
Iku sauntered up to him and stroked a tail, a flirty expression on her face. "Hey there, fire fox," she greeted him in a sultry town. "Have any plans for the rest of the night~?" Mostly she just wanted to play with his tails. She would admit that. But also, he was hot. Iku wanted in his pants. There was still the pesky problem of her virginity, and if she fucked a random stranger she'd probably never see again, it didn't matter if she wasn't all that great. Then the young woman would be able to go home, correct her mistakes, and bag the hot guys in the village. Maybe even her sensei, if he was willing.
But for right now? It was all fox guy, all the time in her head.
Same no Ame would have probably enjoyed watching a little show right about now, however he was busy at the time it was all happening. Why? Fucking hunters that's why. That's right, Saverio was in a near by wood putting on quite the show of his own.
"Heey, do you really think only three of you will be enough," he called out as he brandished his wrist long-blade. The hunter-nin never took their eyes off of him as they too brandished their various weapons. They had been successful in managing to wound the Same no Ame thus far, causing the constant dripping that could be heard in the dead silence as his right shoulder bled, but they had been unsuccessful in quickly dispatching the man. "Heh, you should know by now just how fucked you are." The man sprung forward with blazing speed.
Minutes later as the Fire Fox's show was ending, the man emerged from the thicket, his black long-coat was spattered with blood and he grasped his right shoulder which seemed to have gotten worse, however, no one tailed him. It seemed that he had been victorious. "Damn pansies," he growled beneath his breath as he walked to a near by building before ending up using it as support while to stood there to recollect himself for a moment. It was good thing at this point the crowd had dispersed, he really didn't feel like causing too much more of a commotion at the moment. No instead he wanted to remain anonymous for as long as.. SON OF A FUCK!
He grit his teeth as he noticed the entertainer, or rather, who was with the entertainer. He needed to get moving, now. There was no way in hell he wanted her to see him, especially not like this. SON OF A SHIT! This day was just going to get worse and worse, wasn't it?
One fluffy white ear turned back as the girl approached before she even touched him.
"Hey there, fire fox," The flame-colored tail she stroked coiled around her hand like a python. "Have any plans for the rest of the night~?"
A tailored and professional smile turned to the girl, eying her up and down, the tail holding her arm ensuring her grabby hands did not touch the elegant fabric he adorned himself with. He tucked the velvet bag into his belt.
“Please, call me Lowe.” With the greeting the kitsune reached toward her, replacing the fur wrapped around her fingers with his own hand, bringing her fingers to his lips. “You enjoyed my performance?”
He ignored her query of his plans. She didn't need to know. Before the conversation could further however, his ears pricked up to hear the sound of someone approaching. Lowe turned his head to see a long-haired bloody male emerge from the side of a building, the smell of blood rolling off him in waves. Several of Lowe's furred appendages twitched in interest at the newcomer. Releasing the female, the gypsy approached the wounded man instead, maintaining several feet of distance. Wouldn't want a stranger's blood needlessly on his robes.
“My~ Are you alright?”
Withdrawing a black absorbent cloth (something he'd won in a petty trade not long after arriving here), the kitsune offered it to the bleeding man. In a world such as this, it was possible that not all of the blood belonged to the somewhat shorter male. Lowe didn't care much for the affairs of shinobi, but a person was a person, no matter how lesser than himself they were. Fun fact: Lowe's eyes are both gold and scarlet and shimmer with the light, like the picture to the right. His sig shows gold and his avatar is red, while the hover is a bit of a mix as well; these are all the same character by the same artist. :v
Iku watched, fascinated, as the tail curled around her hand. Damn, that was cool. And attractive. As his eyes scanned her, she discreetly tugged her shirt down so her cleavage was just a bit more impressive. "It's lovely to meet you, Lowe; my name is Iku," she introduced, politely dipping her head when he kissed her hand. "I don't think I've ever seen something quite so impressive, to be honest."
Was she using a bit of hyperbole? Why yes, yes she was. But it never hurt to butter up a guy before you try to get in his pants. "Although, I'm sure you've got something more impressive..." Her red eyes very clearly drifted to a certain part of the fox man's body. "I'd love to see~"
She followed Lowe's gaze and saw a very familiar sight, and all thoughts of sexing the fox flew from her head. Iku squealed and tackled the white-haired man, ignoring his wound. "Sav-senpai~!" The young woman pressed up against him, breathing in his scent, hugging him so tightly he might have had an issue breathing. Eventually, she released him, and ruffled around in her pack, pulling out an extra undershirt and a kunai. "Now hold still, or I'll make that look like a damn papercut in comparison to what I'm going to do," Iku threatened, gesturing at his right shoulder. She cut the shirt into strips, and used the cloth to bandage her beloved senpai's wound, a silly grin on her face the whole time. Man, it had been three years since she'd seen Saverio... seemed more like forever. But now, at least temporarily, he was back in her grasp/
Of fucking course the fox boy had to notice him. Yup he just had to, and when he did he dragged the attention of that bitch too. Great. He was about to respond to the fox boy with, "I'm fine," when the bitch decided she had to tackle him. Of course his guard was down for the brief moment he was going to address the fox boy and thus when the white haired banshee tackled him, his back smacked full force into the wall behind him, splattering blood from his shoulder onto it and making a bloody streak down the wall as he slid down it to the ground with his legs taken out from beneath him. Then only thing he had to respond to that, "SON OF A FUCK!"
"Heey, what the fuck are you doing you stupid woman," he growled putting his blood covered left hand, he had been using it to hold his bloody, shoulder on top of her head in an attempt to push her off. As this happened they could likely hear his voice somewhat cracking as a blush came to his face. God dammit, not again. "Now hold still, or I'll make that look like a damn papercut in comparison to what I'm going to do," She hissed at him. Who the hell was he to argue with her, not just a woman per say, but HER. Fuck he had to run into her of all people. "I-I can take c-care of it myself dammit!" He wasn't going to fight with her or anything, but sure he'd put up with a fuss, even as he looked away from her with his face becoming a bright red. Of course he was glad her arms weren't wrapped around him anymore, but it wasn't exactly like he could move at the moment. On one side was the fox boy, who surely would be in the way if he tried to move, and the other was Iku. Darting back wouldn't work because of the wall, so he was quite literally stuck between a rock and a hard place.
When she was done bandaging the wound he let out a bit of an annoyed sigh as she would have, or rather most likely, backed up a bit from him. At that point he would have risen to his feet, and almost immediately he seemed to be rather pre-occupied. "Listen to me," he spoke after several moments, "Hunter-nin are in this area. So unless you two want to get caught up in something nasty." He reached up into the folds of his cloak with his left hand before pulling out a scroll, "I suggest you two scram. This village is likely going to become a battlefield before I can move on." It wasn't so much that he was concerned for their well-being, but rather he didn't want them getting in the way. While he didn't know how much she could have improved in the three years he's been gone, he knew Iku was likely no match for a hunter-nin, then there was the fact that the fox boy, if he was even a fighter, could likely turn on him in an instant. While he enjoyed a good fight, he didn't feel all too up to fighting more than he had to at the moment.
He pushed off of the wall, and went to pass the two, however as he took a few steps away he soon found that his world was beginning to spin. He was quickly disoriented and found himself falling to his knees. He dropped the scroll, which he quickly scrambled for to no avail and before long found himself covering his mouth with his right hand as he felt he was going to be sick. /What the fuck,/ ran through his mind as he found himself throwing up not the contents of him stomach, but rather a large volume of blood. /Shit they couldn't have..../ The only possibility that occurred to the man as to what was causing this phenomenon was not illness, but rather poison. "Fucking pansies," he growled after a bit as he looked off towards the thicket he had come from. It was unlikely, but the ones he had fought likely carried an antidote. If that was the case, he needed to return to the place their bodies laid in pieces. Another unlikely possibility at this point. Fuck his luck. Well at least he didn't feel too sick anymore, which made him wonder if he had been bleeding internally or something before. Probably a result from last week's fight. Only issue now was that he was beyond dizzy.
This girl was... hitting on him. She found him attractive, as she should. Perhaps he should reward that behavior and grace her with his evening. But, instead she abandoned him in favor of the bleeding male, whom had ignored Lowe's generous offer completely. His tails swished at odds with eachother, miffed at having the attention torn away from himself. But, the two people seemed to have themselves handled, so he stuffed the cloth back into the large tote. Pulling it over his shoulder, Lowe set to leave for his camp. Normally he would stay at an inn, but this time he was traveling with a caravan and they had set up an impressive camp in a clearing in the woods.
"Hunter-nin are in this area. So unless you two want to get caught up in something nasty, I suggest you two scram. This village is likely going to become a battlefield before I can move on."
These words made Lowe stop mid-step. That meant trouble was on its way, didn't it? Just another way to garner attention to himself. He couldn't just let the little village become a battlefield. He hadn't stolen their attention long enough. So, Lowe turned back in time to see the long-haired male drop to his knees, vomiting an alarming amount of blood. The male seemed disoriented as well. By the sound of “hunter-nin” Lowe assumed the man was a rogue shinobi being tailed, and the girl was either a rogue with him or... no, she bore a headband of Kirigakure. So they knew eachother. Either way, the target was incapacitated, two other people knew what was happening, and apparently the hunters were violent. Sounded like fun.
Stepping away from the two, Lowe disrobed, folding the gorgeous fabric into the sack he carried after removing the tanto hidden within. Left behind was a form-fitted black shirt and black pants, long tails swaying freely behind him. He fussed with the golden bands that adorned his wrists and ankles, ensuring that they were thoroughly attached and would not jangle or come loose. Tossing the bag against the side of the building, Lowe withdrew the sack that contained his glass globe and affixed it to his belt. Satisfied, Lowe plopped to a cross-legged sit on the ground, tails curling around in his lap, entire body reading that he was not concerned about the impending fight. Turning tail was cowardice, a trait that the kitsune did not possess.
The next time he called her a stupid woman, she was going to pull his goddamn hair with all her strength. Heh, at least she was making him blush. Cute. "You didn't exactly look like you were taking care of it, senpai," she commented dryly, a brow raised in amusement. Of course he wasn't going to argue when she was all pressed up against him; not that he would have won if he had tried.
The young woman's amusement disappeared immediately when he spoke of hunters. Advising them to leave. Like he didn't think she could handle it. Hands on her hips, she shot him a fierce glare. "I can take care of myself perfectly fine, thank you. You, on the other hand, look like you need your sorry ass protected. I'm not going anywhere, so don't you even try to make me." He had been gone for three years. He didn't have a goddamn clue what she could do. She was on track to becoming a hunter-nin when she reached chuunin, so she could absolutely take one if she had to. The thought that that would make her a traitor didn't even occur to Iku, mostly because she didn't have much in the way of village loyalty to begin with.
After watching him puke up blood, she crouched next to him, brushed a strand of hair out of his face, and used an extra cloth strip to wipe the blood off his mouth. "If you do that again, you'll be grateful you have me around to save you, senpai," she pointed out, still a bit offended. "Now get your ass back over to the wall and sit down. If I were you, I'd take a soldier pill. If you don't have any, I'll share."
Of course, she still wanted to touch the five-tailed fox in all the right places, but that was second to making sure her senpai was okay. She'd rather have Saverio than a pet fox any day.
Were both of these two daft? He had explained the dangers to both of them hadn't he? Besides if hunter-nin weren't enough Saverio also knew that wasn't the end of it. There were powerful rulers that wanted him dead and would contract mercenaries to do their dirty work. Then on top of it Bandits would kill anyone for a pretty penny. Same thing when it came to Bounty Hunters. In the end it was all just a giant pile of slag that Saverio had willing stepped into the day he left Kiri. "This...." He tried to speak between quick breaths, "Is the life of... a rogue Iku..." He leaned back against the wall of the building before looking out towards the clearing where he had downed the other three hunter-nin again.
Before long he looked back towards the other two before letting out an annoyed sigh. The world around him was still spinning. It was difficult to breath, but not impossible. His legs couldn't hold him up. Yet these two, who knew he was a rogue, refused to leave. Either they were just plain stupid, or they were insane.
Saverio fell silent in the moments that passed, as he reached into both of the pockets at his hips. From on he withdrew what looked like some sort of nut, from the other he produced what was universally known as a soldier pill. He brought the soldier pill to his lips first, quickly popping it into his mouth before giving it a crunch and swallowing. It took effect quickly, making him feel immensely better, but the pain still remained. There was just one issue now, and that was his chakra surged due to the effects of the pill, causing it to begin to drizzle after several minutes.
Saverio looked down at the nut now, he didn't exactly want to ingest its contents due to the mere fact that it was extremely bitter and sour, however he knew that if he was bleeding internally he would need to. So he bore down on it with pressure from his right hand until the top layer of the shell began to crack slowly exposing the lime green slime contained within. It had no smell, but man did it look as gross as it would taste. "Tch..." He stared at it for a moment, building up the muster to get himself to take it, and it would take some time, but eventually he'd bring it up to his face before tilting his head back and letting the ooze drip into his mouth before slowly sliding down his throat. Oh god, he felt like he was going to throw up again. No... He couldn't allow it. He dropped the shell to the ground and immediately held his hand to his mouth as he fought back the urge to be sick.
TECHNIQUES USED AURA OF RAIN Due to his extremely potent chakra nature of suiton and his massive reserves of it, Saverio, is constantly releasing a small amount of chakra into the air. This becomes much more concentrated in combat especially as battles go on and eventually causes the weather to change to start to rain. If the battle continues on into a second day, the weather will even become a fierce rainstorm that will cover a large portion of a country, which further adds to his nickname of Ame no Same.

Lowe sat in silence as the two bantered, only half-listening, one ear focused on the woods, the other on them. From the words of the male, Lowe gathered that he was a rogue, a dangerous traitor in the shinobi world. Not the kind of company Lowe would like to associate himself with. His gaze became more alert when he saw the odd nut-like object the man withdrew. What was that? But his attention was diverted yet again when he felt a drop of rain on his head, then another, then another. It had been sunny not ten minutes ago, and golden eyes looked upward to see an overcast sky, raindrops drizzling onto his face. The hell? Did it have something to do with the newcomer shinobi?
He looked back to the aforementioned man, seeing as he cracked the object open and drank the foul-looking contents and wrinkled his nose. Yuck. He'd definitely ask what that was later. It seemed to taste as disgusting as it looked by the way the male reacted. His attention was yet again drawn away, this time by a sound from within the woods. With rain, his fire might be dampened, so he grabbed the tanto and tied the sheath to his belt, going on higher alert.
"Yeah, well, you're still stuck with me. So shut up," she commanded, sending a stern look at him. To distract him - hopefully to keep him from throwing up in her general vicinity - Iku stroked his hair, giving the strands a soft tug every so often. With any luck he would be too busy freaking out about her kind of petting him to think about puking. The fox boy didn't even get a glance in his direction until he announced that something was coming.
Iku's left hand rested on the hilt of her tachi, the other hand still twined in Sav's hair. Alert red eyes gazed in the direction Lowe had heard the sound, waiting for their enemies to appear.
His stomach felt like it was turning inside out and it wanted to violently reject every single content within it, however when a very familiar hand started to run through his hair and stroke his head, his steel grey eyes moved to the side and his hand dropped from his mouth. The feeling in his stomach began to subside as he saw Iku, sitting next to him, stroking his hair. What the fuck. Saverio blinked a couple times as a red tint came to his cheeks. Before long he quickly turned his head to look the other way, however never once asked her to stop. Why? Cause it felt kind of nice.
It was at that moment that he noticed his disorientation was beginning to subside. He looked down at his hands to see that they were shaking, but not as bad as it had felt earlier. Good. He could finally see clearly again, and before long he rested his gaze on the fire fox. As he did it seemed the man had noticed that it had begun to rain. While he looked up to the sky, Saverio held up and out stretched hand and watched the droplets slowly gather on his palm. It was just a drizzle right now, but Saverio knew that was likely to become worse soon.
When the firefox made mention of something coming their way, Saverio grit his teeth as he brought his left hand up against the wall and did his best for force himself up to his feet. His legs were still a bit weak from the poison, so he didn't dare move away from the wall but rather used it to support himself as he went to equip his solid wrist long-blade. Only it was at the moment he remembered that he hadn't picked up the scroll earlier. Son of a fuck, it was still in the middle of their little clearing. "Heey, firefox," he called out to the tailed bastard, "Toss that scroll there my way." Of course he wouldn't ask nicely, who the hell did people think he was the mother fucking toothfairy? Fuck no.
Almost immediately after he said those words, however, there came a loud rustling from the woods followed by several cracks of wood. Whatever was coming their way certainly wasn't human. "The hell?"
Oh, the man was oh so clever wasn't he? Lowe had never heard that one before. Lowe rolled to his feet and scooped up the scroll. Once it was firmly in-hand, however, his slitted eyes narrowed, shining scarlet. Whatever was approaching was careless, loud, and heavy. It was a beast of some sort. A rampaging one. Lowe threw the scroll with intent at the couple before looking back to the woods, a dark shape rapidly approaching from the wood. A massive boar burst from the woods, thundering directly towards the kitsune. It appeared his long, blazing tails provided a nice, distracting thing to focus on, tusks raised to gore him instead of the bleeding individual, the scent likely being what drug the beast out to begin with.
Bending at the knee, Lowe jumped upward and pulled the tanto from its sheath, landing lightly on the hump of the angry animal's back. Sticking his sword into the animal's back with his landing, he let his own weight and the animal's forward momentum tear the blade through its flesh as he landed back on the ground. Pork would be a nice meal fit for a king such as himself, and nothing was fresher than a pig still running about. Perhaps he could even share a chop or two with these two, if they decided to help him kill it.
Iku would never, ever get tired of seeing her senpai blush when she touched him. Or got close to him. Or looked at him in a certain way. Okay, so she kind of made him blush just by existing in his vicinity. All the same, her gentle touch had had a purpose; and, she noticed, he was looking noticeably less sick, so it was working. The girl was quite pleased with herself. Rising to her feet next to Sav, she steadied him. Her worried eyes didn't want to leave him.
And then the boar came thundering out of the trees, straight for Lowe. Heh. His tails attracted more than just pretty girls, apparently. The fox looked like he had a good handle on the situation, and she really didn't want to leave Sav by himself in case something else showed up, but she figured she might as well go help. It would be very bad for her sex life if the entertainer got gored to death by a wild animal. So she pulled her tachi out of its sheath and headed over, aiming to drive the sword through the beast's eye.
When the boar came thundering out of the woods, likely attracted by the scent of his own blood, Saverio didn't even flinch. He was ready to take the fucker head on like he had so many before it, but instead of charging at the bloodied rogue, it went after the boy with the brilliant tails of flame. So they had some use after all. Of course, it appeared that he would quickly have a handle of the situation, and even more so when Iku joined him in taking down the massive beast. "Boars like that...." His thoughts were definitely clearer now, his body seemingly calming down immensely as the effects of the poison faded away.
"HEEY," he called out remembering something as he snatched the scroll out of the air, or rather attempt to but instead his hand slipped causing the thing to bash him square in his nose. He instead picked it up off of the ground while holding his bleeding nose for a moment with the other hand. With a flick of the wrist he'd fling the scroll open, quickly summoning his more sturdy wrist long-blade and switching it out with the retractable open before closing the scroll again with another flick of the wrist. All the while he yelled out to the other two, "MAMMOTH BOARS TRAVEL IN HERDS! WHERE THERE IS ONE THERE IS LIKELY FIVE TO TEN OF THEM!" Oh shit he just realized something else. This one was a pup. SONS OF A SHIT!
"What? You want to challenge the herd?" He looked up at Saverio with a look of pure dumbfoundedness on his face, "You realize that's suicide right?" Saverio laughed, "Sure but where is the fun if I don't try?" The campfire hissed and popped as the two chuunin stood around it attempting to fight off the night's chill. "Well I know I can't stop you but Same," the other Hunter-Nin addressed him by his nickname, "Don't attack the little ones first, otherwise the herd will rampage."
He slashed his left arm out to the side as he noticed the pain from his right shoulder was ebbing away. "YOU BASTARDS! YOU ATTACKED ONE OF THEIR CALVES!" Just as he shouted those words he could hear even more thunder coming from the tree line. The ground began to quake and many cracks of wood came from the thicket. The herd was upon them and the first one to emerge was more than seven stories tall. It was the herd mother, a large wooly mammoth boar with a large scar over the right eye and a tusk cut short close to the base. Saverio recognized her.
"Heey, it's been a while." He rushed forward at this point, having regained himself quite a bit, and leaped high into the air before somehow managing to grasp hold of the large, yet somewhat slow, beast's hide. From there he began to scale to the beast's back while riding out her furious tantrum. However, while this beast was the herd mother, it was not this little one's mother but rather a grandmother. The mother, whom was even more furious than her, was yet to appear, and likely the cause of the huge racket coming still from the woods.
