After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
“Don't be sorry, let's try it again. I'm not being clear enough.”
Kyo stood back, waiting expectantly. She sent her bees out once more, and the results were a lot more satisfying. The clone looked about ready to bolt as the females' stingers shot into its face, the two males following suit. Unable to deal with the stress, the clone melted back into beeswax, dropping the other bees on the ground.
“Muuuuch better,” he complimented her, patting her between the ears. “Summon s'more bees and we'll do that again.”
Going over to the wad of wax, Kyo put his hand on it, reforming it into a new clone.

Chi's grin at her success swiftly turned into a frown as her precious bees fell to the ground. Horrified, her ears flattened. Why had they died? Was it her fault? Did she do something wrong? Her attention was so focused on the four little fuzzy bee bodies strewn across the ground that she didn't even hear Kyo's praise, or pay mind to his petting. Those poor bees.
She gazed at him with wide, sad eyes. "K-Kyo-nii? W-why did all my bees die?" Chi asked quietly, biting her lip.
“Only the females died. The males are just stunned because they didn't expect the clone to fall apart. They die when they expel their stings, that why you have so many bees. Now come on, summon some more so we can keep going.”
He put a hand on his hip and waited. If the girl was worried about her bees dying, that would be troublesome. Yuu was the same way, although Yuu had learned how to make it work for him. Could probably find a way to make it work for Chiyoko too, but first came basic control. Putting a hand on the wax that the clone had dissolved into, Kyo recast the clone jutsu and a new Kyo stood there once more.
“There are other things you can do with the bees that won't kill them, but understand that they are used as weapons and are expected to die.”

Although she was still uneasy, she summoned another handful of bees and checked them out. Half and half again. Huh. Did it just work like that? The girl frowned at the bees. Sure, they were just bees, but... why did they have to die? It didn't seem fair. No matter how many of them there were, she wasn't sure she wanted to continuously send them to their deaths.
Kyo wouldn't approve of that, though. And she had come to Iwa specifically to learn about the bees... Sighing, and murmuring a quiet apology to her lady bees, Chi concentrated and told them to attack the clone. They must have been able to sense her unease, though, because they didn't move. Her ears flattened.
“Don't want to hurt your bees? They can tell that, you know. You're just like my useless brother.”
“Oi.”
“Hehe.” Kyo grinned at his twin, then looked back to the catgirl. “There are other things you can do with them.”
Calling more bees, Kyo performed handsigns—slowly so the girl could learn each one—and pulsed his chakra into the swarm. The abdomens of the bees became swollen.
“This one is called “Bee Honey Technique.” What it does is make the bees create a lot of sticky honey. They can spit it, but what it's most used for is sticking the enemy together like rubber cement if they try killing the bees with taijutsu or bukijutsu. It's good to start off with this attack, because then if they do die, it's not in vain.”
Waving his hand at the bees in the girl's small hands sent them in flight, and he repeated the hand seals for her.
“Ox, boar, snake, rat. Then put your hands forward and pulse your chakra at the bees.”
CHAKRA | 100% WORD COUNT | 188 TAGS | Kamizuru Chiyoko ADDL. NOTES | You can add One Thousand Bee Stings to your skill list. She successfully performed it once, she just needs to practice with it, which I'm sure she'll love doing.

Chi wasn't at all insulted by Kyo's comparison, although it was rather clear that it was intended to be so, since he'd called Yuu useless and all. But she would rather not send all of her bees to their untimely deaths, thank you very much. The girl didn't understand why Kyo didn't care about them the way she and Yuu did. Perhaps she'd ask him sometime. Right now, she needed to try to focus on the lesson.
Ox, board, snake, rat. She performed the seals and pulsed her chakra in the general direction of the bees. Nothing seemed to happen. Frowning, she did it again. One bee's abdomen distended, and she poked at it, causing it to spit the honey all over her. Ehe... oops.
In unison both twins slapped their forehead. Kyo had been just about to praise her for getting at least one of the bees to do what it was supposed to, and then she went and poked it, causing it to spit the adhesive honey all over her head. Yuu was the one more annoyed than Kyo. It wasn't exactly easy getting that out of hair. Or fur, he'd imagine. If it was, then it wouldn't be very useful as an attack, now, would it? He had the oil at home, at least. He'll help her out when they got home. Kyo ran his fingers through his hair to manage his annoyance. He felt like he was teaching one of the young children, rather than a... how old was this girl, anyway?
“Yuu,” he called, looking to his brother while she dealt with that, “How old is she?”
Yuu blinked.
“Uh... Never asked. I was thinking she was eleven or twelve.
How did he not know how old his houseguest was? Kyo sighed. Selecting a bee, he sent it to land on her nose to garner Chi's attention back from the honey crisis she found herself in.

Chi flattened her ears, then immediately realized her mistake as some of the honey spread, immobilizing her ears in that position. She barely resisted the urge to touch her hair and see just how much of it was covered in the sticky substance. Too much, to be certain. And it was going to stay there until the training session was over... Ick. How would she even get that out of her hair? The expression on her face was a priceless mixture of horror and (mild) despair.
The bee drew her attention back to the twins. "'m fourteen," she told them, going cross-eyed trying to view the bee on her nose. It crawled its way down to her lips, and with nary a thought crossing her mind (what a surprise), she opened her mouth and chomped down on it, immediately getting stung.
She had the decency to look ashamed for about a heartbeat, and then she was out cold, flopping gracelessly to the ground. Sheesh.
Fourteen? How on earth— The thought didn't get a chance to process. Even though Kyo was closest, he was not fast enough to dive the girl before she ate the bee. Before more bees could sting her in response to the first bee, Kyo dismissed the lot of them, just barely catching her before she hit the ground. Holding the limp catgirl of the ground, Kyo looked disdainfully at his brother.
“You sure picked a keeper, Yuu.”
“Shut the hell up. I didn't pick her; she picked me and wouldn't leave. She cried when I suggested finding her an inn or someone else to stay with.”
“You sure know your way to a girl's heart, little brother.”
The elder twin yelped in pain when he was boxed across one of the ears, the medic taking hold of the girl with an epipen in hand. Just as he was just about to inject her with the antitoxin to the beesting, the pen stopped short not centimeters from her thigh, and he stared long and hard at the unconscious face.
“You're not gonna wake her up?”
Yuu looked up from the girl to Kyo.
“...naaah. It'll be much easier to get her home this way. The lesson's pretty much over and she'll give me a headache over the honey. I'll wake her up at home.”
Crouching and prying open the girl's mouth, Yuu dug out the remains of the bee she crunched up. Thank god it hadn't been one filled with honey; that would have been an absolute mess. Okami could attest to that. Poor guy laid sick on Yuu's couch for two days getting his system flushed after eating a lot of that honey during a spar. Why anyone would think eating something used in battle was okay to eat was beyond him, but apparently he met the two people in the world who thought it was okay. Tilting the girl's head, Yuu examined the honey in her hair, pulling at an ear. She'd gotten herself all stuck together.
“Thanks for helpin', Kyo. I'm going to take her home and get the honey out. I'll see if she wants to practice more in the yard once I get her awake and cleaned up.”
“Yep, anytime. Seeya, Yuu.”
With a wave, Yuu laid the girl down, collecting his things and slinging them over his shoulders. Returning to the catlike Kamizuru, the medic picked her up, shifting her weight in his arms and ensuring he hand her tail hung on his arm. She was small and light. As he returned to home, he kept glancing at her, the sting on her lip getting puffy. This girl was fourteen, eh? That made him a bit uncomfortable. Running around childishly around the house and demanding to sleep together with him was barely permissible as her just being a kid. But now he wondered if she wasn't acting that way on purpose. She was old enough. Then again, something told Yuu she was just downright naïve more than anything.
When they reached his home, he maneuvered around her to get the door open, kicking it shut behind him. He didnt know where all the honey had gotten and he'd rather not get it on things where it wouldn't come off, so he carried her to the tiled bathroom, propping her up against the wall of the tub to leave and discard his things, grabbing the epipen. Returning to the girl, Yuu pressed the pen to her thigh and released the mechanism, injecting her with antitoxins to the beesting. She'd wake up in a few minutes. Discarding it on the sink, the Kamizuru hunted down the oil used to remove the honey, sitting on the edge of the tub and waiting for her. This would be easier to do while she was awake.

Her big blue eyes opened and she yawned, showing off her pointed teeth. Ears attempted to twitch, but were foiled by the sticky honey. One of her hands flew up to her ear and, yes, got stuck in the honey she had momentarily forgotten was there. Chi yowled in frustration, casting a pathetic look at Yuu that said please get me unstuck.
The sting on her lip was given cursory investigation - she licked it, and, finding that it kind of hurt to lick it, proceeded to mostly ignore it in favor of pouting up at the medic so he would rescue her from the honey.
Yuu watched with mild amusement as, when the girl finally woke up, she had stuck her hand directly into the honey and had gotten it glued to her face. Her lip was growing more swollen, and he decided he could care for that first. Setting the bottle of oil down, Yuu turned on the tap, cupping his fingers to hold water. Tilting Chi's head up, Yuu guided the water into the sting while infusing it with medical chakra, then eased the water out after a minute, pulling out the toxins from the suzumebachi sting. Throwing the water into the drain, his fingers returned to her lip, healing over the sting as if it hadn't been there. Yuu ran his fingertips on her lip, ensuring that it was no longer swollen.
“Now that won't bother you. Now I'm going to use oil to get all that honey off; it smells a little weird but it does the trick.”
Standing to move to the linen closet, Yuu dug for an older hand towel. It would need discarded afterward, so he didn't give much thought about pulling one out that was threadbare in some places. Returning to Chiyoko, the medic knelt by her side, pouring a bit of oil from the bottle onto the area where her hand had gotton stuck, and he eased it off of her hair, unsticking it from her fingers and palm. Her hair took significantly longer; Yuu took care not to get the oil inside her large ears and combed the honey out of her long hair, rubbing it and her ears gently with the towel until no longer sticky. Satisfied, he took the oil back to the shelf, exchanging it for a bottle of multipurpose body soap.
“Now you need to take a shower. Wash your hair and body with this until you don't feel oily anymore,” he said, passing the bottle to her. “Once it's off you can wash with your normal soap. I'll work on making some lunch.”
Stealing a drop of the soap he'd passed her, Yuu washed the oil from his hands and comb, placing it on the sink and leaving, wiping his hands on his pants. He had the stuff to make some sandwiches. He had some meat fillings, so that should be good for her, right?

Chi watched as Yuu - seemingly with magic - pulled the toxins out of the sting and healed it right up. Her tongue probed at the spot where it had been; there was no sign there that she had ever been stung at all. Her eyes glowed with admiration. Yuu could do so many cool things.
He began rubbing the oil into her hair; the smell made her nose wrinkle - it was pretty gross. But all the same, she purred softly as he massaged it into her hair and got most of the honey out. She nodded at his instructions and took the bottle. "Thanks, Yuu," she chirped.
After he'd left the bathroom, she stripped off her clothes and turned the water on, hopping in and getting her hair and fur nice and soaked. Chi ended up using the special soap four times to get the oily feeling to go away entirely. Then she used regular shampoo and conditioner so, hopefully, her fur would be soft and silky smooth as usual.
She turned the water off and wrapped a towel around her body, using another to dry her hair and ears somewhat. The weird tingly feeling she'd been trying to ignore all morning was back in full force, and Chi murred softly. Opening the bathroom door, she poked her head out and called, "Yuu? Can you come here?"
Yuu dug around the kitchen. Chi had taught him how to cook a couple things since she'd gotten here, but he ultimately decided not to risk it without her being present. So instead, he focused on making sandwiches with ham and cheese. The cheese was white, and he added slices of salami and mayonnaise too. Delicious. After a little while, the medic heard a voice from the bathroom.
"Yuu? Can you come here?"
Yuu looked in the direction of the bathroom. Was something wrong? Had he missed honey and she stuck herself to herself again? Had she gotten her tail trapped in a shampoo bottle? He never knew with this girl. She'd been in there long enough, so she should be dressed by now. With that comforting thought in mind, he went to see what she needed.
“Coming!” he said, pushing open the door. “What's wrong?”

As soon as he entered the bathroom, Chi tackled him, rubbing her cheek against hers. The urges she'd been suppressing throughout the training session all came forth at once, battering her mind with suggestions that she wasn't at all sure what to do about. All she knew was that Yuu smelled nice and she wanted to be really close to him.
"Yuu, there's something wrong with me and I don't know how to fix it," she told him, eyes wide. She figured that, since he was a medic, he would have some idea as to what her problem was. Big blue eyes and a pout pleaded at him to fix it so she could feel normal again. Well, as normal as the catgirl ever was (not very).
Yuu couldn't back away in time, yelping in surprise when the smaller body collided with his. He hit the wall on the opposite side of the hall and slid to a sit, a soggy towel-clad girl in his arms. He felt his ears burn.
"Yuu, there's something wrong with me and I don't know how to fix it."
Her eyes were big and inviting and blue, and remembering that she said she was fourteen made the medic very aware of the girl's body against his.
“What feels wrong?” he asked, trying to keep the lilt from his voice, nonchalantly pulling the edges of her towel up where they'd fallen just a bit too low.
