After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Chi nodded, sinking into a hunter's crouch, stilling her tail so as not to rustle the wheat stalks as she moved. She prowled toward the scent of mouse, taking a different path than her friend, tail tip twitching excitedly. The catgirl really wanted to catch this mouse, if only to prove that she had gotten better at hunting. Of course, if she did catch it, she would share its meat with Ringo; that was only fair, seeing as the wolf had scented it first.

Despite her lack of grace, Chi possessed a better stance than Ringo did as far as hiding in foliage. Ringo's ears were also not as large as the catgirl's and therefore did not pick up as much sound. She might lose the race.
Hearing a rustle, the werewolf charged, pouncing on... nothing. There was nothing between her hands, and she heard the sharp squeak from some distance away. The cat had caught it first. She huffed.

Chi silently prowled closer, blue eyes fixed on the small rodent as it nibbled at a piece of grain. Once she was close enough to pounce on it - but not close enough that it would notice her - she lunged, capturing the creature's neck in her mouth. The mouse had a mere moment to squeak before its tiny bones crunched between her teeth.
The cat took her catch over to the wolf and dropped it in front of her. What d'ya think?" she responded teasingly, a playful expression on her face. "Wanna share?" There wasn't much meat on the thing, but it would make for a tasty snack for the two.

“What d'ya think?"
Ringo poked the mouse that was dropped at her feet.
"Wanna share?"
The wolf wrinkled her nose. She liked to cook her meat but it was only one and it was tiny and it would be rude to refuse.
“Okay~” she agreed, picking up the small creature and holding it up for Chi to divvy up. It was her catch, after all, so she got to decide what part she wanted to eat.

Chi took the mouse from the wolf and bit into the soft, gamey flesh just above its tail. As she chewed, she pushed the carcass back towards her friend. "I like sharing this way," she informed the girl through a mouthful of raw mouse. "It's the best way to share prey with friends~"

Ringo nodded in agreement, taking the mangled creature by the tail. Tilting her head back, she took the head of the creature between her lips before swallowing the mouse, teeth only chewing once or twice. Fur wasn't always nice, it tickled on the way down, but there wasn't much to a mouse.
“What will you be doing while you're in Iwa, Chi?” I am not at all grossed out lol

The mouse had certainly been a nice snack; the cat licked her lips and picked a bit of fur out of her teeth with her nails, tail swishing happily over the wheat as Ringo swallowed the rest of it. And their sensei said she was the one with the big mouth. Pfft. After the wolf was done eating, Chi pounced on her, pinning her down to the ground and giving her cheek a few affectionate licks.
“I’m gonna learn all about how to use my family’s suzume… suzu.. uh, suzu-something. They’re bees, and they’re really cool!” To demonstrate, Chi summoned… all of one bee. It buzzed lazily in the air next to the girls, drifting down to land on a flower that was poking up between the wheat. After it had had its fill of the flower, Chi dismissed it, grinning. “I’m going to learn everything there is to know about bees, and all the neat things I can do with them. And I’m gonna see if they’ll teach me how to make honey with the bees so I c’n have it whenever I want!”
Other than that, she didn’t really have any idea what she was going to do. Her mind was all bees, all the time.

“I’m gonna learn all about how to use my family’s suzume… suzu.. uh, suzu-something. They’re bees, and they’re really cool!”
“Suzumebachi,” Ringo supplied, having actually paid attention in history class. Still, she watched in fascination as Chiyoko summoned the one single fat bee.

Ringo had to admit, it sounded kind of interesting. She couldn't wait to see what sorts of things Chi would know when she comes back. Red eyes followed the bee floating on the wind. If Chi summoned it, that meant the creature was friendly, right? One curious finger poked out to touch the enormous buzzing insect in hopes of it landing on her finger. Instead, it felt as a hot poker was driven through her hand and she withdrew her itwith a loud yelp, the bee buzzing menacingly.
Barely ten seconds went by before the toxins kicked in, and she whimpered to the catgirl before flopping over unconscious.

Chi's eyes widened when Ringo poked the bee and got stung in return. "Ohh... Bad bee!" she told it, and sent it to its room. Literally. Then she looked back to the wolf, panicking. There was something really potent in the bee's sting, because her friend was sprawled in the wheat, unconscious. "Uh... uh..." The girl looked around frantically, but there was no one nearby. Chi wasn't very strong, and Ringo was bigger than she was, so there was no way she could carry her friend into the village. The girl gulped. Her only option was to go to Ringo's house and tell her scary aunt or whatever that the wolf had gotten stung by a bee and she was unconscious.
The wolf woman would probably eat her. The thought was absolutely terrifying. But she didn't know how long it would take Ringo to wake up, and she wasn't going to just leave her there... So scary aunt or whatever it was. Yikes.
