After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
HEY YOUNG BLOOD DOESN'T IT FEEL LIKE TIME IS RUNNING OUT?
Forbidden Arts are techniques labeled too dangerous for the average shinobi to safely wield, and as such are kept locked away. Those who demonstrate exceptional skill are able to glimpse knowledge from these hidden reserves and use one of these techniques as their own. Such techniques have become renowned for their power, so much so that their names are still frequently uttered hundreds of years after their first appearances.
While any number of characters are allowed to learn these techniques, there are two requirements that must first be fulfilled. First, you must submit a veto request that tells staff which technique you are trying to have the specified character learn. You must include the two following details in your veto for us to even look at it: why the characters deserves to learn it, and how they plan to learn it.
The why is pretty self-explanatory; however, the how is a tad bit trickier. Generally speaking we really don't like the "I read how to use it in a scroll" explanation, because anybody can read (well, hopefully they can).
Note that it is far more difficult to veto for having a Hidden Technique at character creation than it is pick it up in-character, so choose wisely.
The Rasengan does not require any hand seals to use, relying only on the chakra control of the user. The compacted nature and moving speed of the chakra allows the Rasengan to grind into whatever it comes in contact with to inflict major damage. This tends to launch the target backward after being hit and the destructive force is enough to form a crater in some cases. This technique must be learned ICly either through some type of questing or a previous user of Rasengan passes it down to you.
This technique channels a large amount of lightning chakra to the user's hand to the point of it becoming visible. Once the technique is completed, the user charges forward and thrusts the Chidori into the target. This can produce heavy damage that is usually fatal. However, due to the sheer force and influence of the attack, the user moves too fast to be able to properly avoid any counter, thus making this technique hard to land a hit with. Currently, the only known way to overcome this is to have a movement tracking ability on par with the Sharingan. This technique must be learned ICly either through some type of questing or a previous user of Chidori passes it down to you.
This jutsu is essentially another version of the Shadow Clone Jutsu, but instead of a few clones, it creates hundreds or even thousands of clones. This is considered a kinjutsu, because it can potentially be dangerous to the user as their chakra is evenly divided to each and every clone. Few people are able to use this technique effectively, due to the large amount of chakra it consumes. However, this weakness is usually not an issue to ninjas with massive chakra reserves. Having such reserves allows them to create hundreds of clones while maintaining a decent supply of chakra in each one. The user must have Path of the Soul as their primary path and have Large Chakra Reserves and Exceptional Chakra Control in their special abilities.

Hiraishin no Jutsu [Flying Thunder God] S-Rank|| Fuuinjutsu || Any Range || Supplementary
The Flying Thunder God Jutsu is a technique created by the Forth Hokage, Namikaze Minato and allows the user to instantly transport from one point in space to another instantaneously. Rather than being a jutsu that accelerates one's speed, this jutsu actually works more like the way a summoning jutsu does. Except instead of summoning something, the user sends themselves to the location of their seal. In other words, an augmented summoning technique if you will. The technique itself can be performed rather easily, giving the user the capability to avoid high speed attacks with relative ease.
First of all, the user must apply the jutsu formula to an object. Whether it be a tree, wall, ground or person, it does not matter. Once the formula is applied, the user can teleport to that location at will. The formula can be applied to weapons ahead of time, giving the user an even more versatility and speed. By simply performing a handseal and touching an object, the user can transcribe the formula upon it, basically marking it as a beacon for their teleportation.
Although this technique allows for the teleportation of other objects or people, usually anything higher than the mass of the user himself will quickly drain him. In other words, transporting something of less mass is easy enough, but anything above the user's own mass is another story, making the transportation of others a rather difficult process.
Even though the range of this technique is technically infinite, it does require that the user marked the desired end point with the formula beforehand. This basically means the user can only go transport to places where they've been to previously and marked beforehand, making random transportation from place to place impossible.
The drainage of chakra while using this technique is very precise, a science even. The factors involved in this process are the mass of the objects or people being transported and the distance being traveled. The further the distance and the higher the mass, the more chakra that it takes. Therefore, the most effective way to use this jutsu is through short jumps, as they take the lowest toll. Even a couple long-distance jumps can easily drain the most hardened of users.

Kōtei [Flight] A-Rank|| Ninjutsu || Supplementary
[Iwagakure-exclusive] The user will perform a set of hand seals and through the use of their chakra allow them to float above the ground and through the air. The distance from the ground the user can be is all dependent upon the amount of chakra they wish to expend. Additionally, the user can imbue other items or people with this jutsu to temporally share it's benefits.
[User must be Path of the Body-exclusive; can only use taijutsu and bukijutsu] The Eight Gates are eight specific points on a person's Chakra Pathway System. They limit the overall flow of chakra within a person's body. The basis for the idea of the chakra gates comes from the body's limits on the functions within it. This makes the body much weaker, but it keeps the body from expiring too soon. By undergoing intense training, one can learn how to open these gates allowing the user to surpass their own physical limits at the cost of extreme damage to their own body.
The state of having all Eight Gates open is known as Eight Inner Gates Formation. Any ninja who activates this state will temporarily gain powers greater than a Kage, but they will die because of the damage done to their body. Due to the immense amount of chakra flooding the body all at once, drastic changes can occur upon the user's body. The most common of these changes are the darkening of the skin, eruption of veins around the temples, the eyes turning completely white and green chakra flowing around their entire body, though this is not always the case. The user's voice also becomes deeper for the duration of the release.
1. The Gate of Opening, located in the brain. Opening this gate removes the restraints of the brain on the muscles so 100% of their strength can be used whereas normally, a person can only use 20% of their muscles' strength to keep them from disintegrating. Opening this gate allows the user to use the Front Lotus.
2. The Gate of Healing, located in the brain. Opening this gate forcibly increases one's physical strength and temporarily re-energizes the body.
3. The Gate of Life, located on the spinal cord. Opening this gate allows the user to use the Reverse Lotus. The increased blood flow turns the skin red.
4. The Gate of Pain, located on the spinal cord. Opening this gate increases the user's speed and power. May cause muscle tissue to tear on use.
5. The Gate of Limit, located in the abdomen. Increases the user's speed and power.
6. The Gate of View, located in the stomach. Opening this gate increases the user's speed and power. Allows the user to perform the Morning Peacock.
7. The Gate of Wonder, located below the stomach. Opening this gate further increases the user's speed and power. Allows the user to perform the Daytime Tiger. Those who open this gate will pour glowing green sweat from every inch of their body, which immediately evaporates from their own heat energy, creating an aura which people often mistake as a chakra cloak. Unfortunately, the side effects of opening the gate are that the user's muscle fibers are ripped to shreds, causing intense pain if anything or anyone touches them.
8. The Gate of Death, located at the heart. Opening this gate uses up all of the body's energy. It makes the heart pump at maximum power and exceeds the power of every other gate. Opening this gate gives the user power that is even beyond the five Kage, but comes at the expense of the user's life shortly after.

Raiton no Yoroi [Lightning Release Armour] S-Rank|| Ninjutsu || Raiton || Short || Offensive/Defensive
[Kumogakure-exclusive] By wrapping their body in a layer of lightning chakra, the user can electrically stimulate their nervous system and speed up their neural synapses to react faster to danger and push their physical prowess to the absolute limit, allowing them to gain tremendous raw speed and monstrous power.
This armour, combined with taijutsu, allows user to utilize Nintaijutsu. By combining this armour with the Teleportation Jutsu, the user can move at split second speed. The armour also increases the user's defenses, drastically reducing, if not completely negating, damage from incoming attacks, especially from Lightning based attacks.
The user creates four firefly-like chakra wings and fires out a powerful energy blast from them. Kagerō claims that this technique can be used only once in a lifetime, since it consumes so much chakra that the user is left in a near death state after performing it. During the duration of this technique the user can also transport themselves instantaneously using a technique that is similar to teleportation. This technique will guarantee death with NO EXCEPTIONS.
This technique transforms the user's body into something similar to that of a rag-doll's, which is held together by hundreds of thick black threads. The user is able to manipulate these threads for many purposes. They are capable of sewing up any injuries that they or others might suffer, most commonly by reattaching body parts. They can also detach parts of their limbs and then manipulate them, to the point that he could even send them underground and then reattach them when he was done with them.
In addition to that, Earth Grudge Fear allows the user to steal the internal organs of others and incorporate them into their own body, thus extending their own life by taking the hearts of powerful shinobi. These hearts appeared as masks, which can move independently and take on humanoid forms, as well as use ninjutsu corresponding to the elements of their previous owners. This allows the user of Earth Grudge to use multiple types of releases.
Not only this but in order to kill someone using Earth Grudge, one must kill all their hearts, meaning one would would have to kill them five times over.
[NOTE: If you lose a heart, you must recover it from other ninjas IC. It has to be from another RP'er or a NPC, and cannot be civilians.]
[Iwagakure-Exclusive] This kinjutsu, which was passed down through generations in Iwagakure, allows the user to knead chakra into materials. It is likely that the mouths on the user's palms and chest are the result of using this technique.

Orochimaru no Juinjutsu [Orochimaru's Cursed Seal Technique] S-Rank|| Juinjutsu || Supplementary
To apply a cursed seal, the user needs to come in contact with the target. The seal will then appear on the body of the target near the point of contact, and subsequently lose consciousness. This gives the target to obtain the "Curse Seal" Special Skill. However, the target will be at the complete mercy of the user, as they can use the Curse Seal to paralyze, torture, and even kill the target. Kuchiyose: Rashōmon [Summoning: Rashōmon] S-Rank|| Ninjutsu || N/A || RANGE || USE
Shut tightly, this menacing gate when summoned provides a tremendous defence for its summoner and is able to completely intercept an opponent's physical attack. According to Sakon and Ukon, this technique boasts an ultimate defence and the fact that Kiba Inuzuka and Akamaru managed to dent it was no small feat. In the anime, this gate also possesses offensive capabilities, able to launch a giant swarm of blades at the opponent, though the gates themselves are vulnerable to attacks that cripple their base, causing them to collapse. With enough mastery over this technique, the user can use it or its stronger variations without the need for hand seals.
This genjutsu brings out the victim's subconscious negative or hateful emotions. The caster can take advantage of these feelings and control the victim's actions. This technique can be cancelled by smelling the New Moon Flower Perfume, using the Sharingan, or killing the caster. Those who undert controlled by the Jibakugan have several strange marks under their eyes and on their foreheads. For this technique to be effective, direct eye contact is needed, unless the user's power is sufficient enough to use it without the need of direct eye contact.

Jujutsu: Shiji Hyōketsu [Curse Technique: Death Controlling Possessed Blood] S-Rank|| Ninjutsu || All Range || Offensive
First, the user makes every effort to draw blood from his opponent and ingest it. His skin then turns black with white markings which makes him look like a skeleton, a symbol of absolute death. He then draws Jashin's symbol on the ground in blood and stands in the centre. This serves as the link between him and his victim.
Once his sacrificial ritual takes place, the victim is linked with the user until he either steps or is forced out of the circle. Any kind of injury that Hidan inflicts upon himself (or the injury they inflicted on him) is reciprocated on his target, be it a mere scratch to a pierce in the heart. If the user is forced to step out of the circle, the link is broken and the victim is set free, but all the userhas to do is to step back into the circle to reactivate the link. Basically, this technique makes the user a living voodoo doll.

Sōzō Saisei [Creation Rebirth] S-Rank|| Medical Ninjutsu || Supplementary
The absolute pinnacle of medical ninjutsu, created by the greatest of medical ninja, Tsunade, it is the ultimate regeneration technique. By releasing the great volume of chakra stored in her forehead at once, the body's cell division is forcibly stimulated by proteins, reconstructing all organs and all tissues making up the human body. The technique itself does not regenerate the old cells, rather it hastens the creation of new ones through division. If this technique is used, a body whose vital organs are so gravely injured that it cannot bear it any longer will be instantly restored to its uninjured state. By Tsunade's own claim, as long as she has chakra it is impossible for her to die by any means, as such she gains a form of "immortality" throughout the duration of the technique.
However, a body's cells can only split a certain number of times in a lifetime, and by speeding up this process, The user are basically shortening their life span. To what degree is unknown, but what is clear is that it is not great enough to cause them to die in battle.

Byakugō [Strength of a Hundred] S-Rank || Medical Ninjutsu || Supplementary
[Requires Creation-Rebirth] While very similar in nature to its parent technique, which also grants greatly enhanced regeneration, the Strength of a Hundred Technique has a continuous, automatic effect that will heal any damage that the user sustains instantly without the need to make hand seals or even a conscious effort to activate the healing process as long as they have chakra left. The enhanced regeneration granted by this technique is so rapid that even the wounds that resulted from the impalement by two gigantic swords through Tsunade's abdomen were completely healed in mere moments after the blades' removals.
Use of the technique also requires the release of the Strength of a Hundred Seal, but rather than just covering the face, the markings extend over the user's entire body. As a testament to both its power and her confidence in its healing prowess, Tsunade has decreed that only medical-nin who have mastered this technique are permitted to break the first three rules that govern their role on the battlefield — which effectively prohibit their direct involvement in any conflict — that she herself established

Kishō Tensei [One's Own Life Reincarnation] S-Rank || Medical Ninjutsu || Short-Range || Supplementary
One's Own Life Reincarnation was developed in Sunagakure by the Puppet Brigade. The user, giving their life force to the target, uses all their chakra as an intermediary.
This technique can be used on both the living and dead. Using it on the living can save and restore the target from an otherwise fatal condition but will leave the user greatly exhausted. When used on the dead, the user will find certain death in exchange for the soul of the deceased. While in use, the released chakra shines a pale-blue colour, and if the user's own chakra is insufficient, a third party can assist.
Out of humane motives, Sunagakure labelled this technique as a "kinjutsu" immediately after its development. As such, the only one who can use this technique is its developer, Chiyo, and as she is the sole known user, upon her death the technique is believed to be lost forever.
The purpose of the technique was to give life to puppets, the puppets Chiyo had in mind being those of Sasori's parents. It was also for a means to give combat puppets life to increase their efficiency in battle.

Kimera no Jutsu [Demon Bud Capture Net Technique] S-Rank || Ninjutsu || Short-Range || Offensive/Supplementary
It was originally meant to combine separate living bodies of organisms into a single composite organism bearing the original characteristics of the organisms, therefore creating a synthetic body. Can fuse corpses with a living being, granting any unique physical traits or genetic abilities to the host [Kekkei Genkai hax] - incomplete assimilation that makes utilizing new abilities & traits exhausting/damaging to body with repeated use. Assimilating the Sharingan or Rinnegan allows for full use of absorbed KG. User's body contains genetic material from assimilated corpses, allowing him/her to use KG as if they were naturally born with the ability. Can also combine multiple living beings together into one.
A technique developed by Sasori during his time in Sunagakure, this allows him to create puppets from human corpses.
By removing the internal organs of a foe and preserving the body to prevent decomposition, as well as adding weapons and defences, Sasori can make powerful human puppets. These puppets are different from normal ones, as they retain their use of chakra and any kekkei genkai that the human host once had.
