After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
The sky was painted a vibrant orange, allowing only subtle strokes of purple and red to fizzle into its canvas. A beautiful display of nature’s own décor as the sun began to relax into the distant hemisphere; its journey never over yet this side of the world could sleep soon.
Could the Wind country be anymore monotonous?
“Damn Kazekage! Never accepting an audience.” He scuffed.
Beyond a reason of a doubt, the young Salamander roared imperceptible spurs of flames as he sat comfortably in a bed of sand. Legs folded neatly over one another and arms equally held over his chest, his visage showed a clear sign of tranquility; until of course one set sights upon his face. Irritation was an understatement as his eyebrows lifted in gratuitous frustration, veins also seemingly flooding the space along his forehead. It almost appeared as if he was forcing himself to bottle his wrath. Nonetheless, akin to steam rising from a closed kettle, his own fumes exuded effortlessly into the afternoon sky.
Smoke escaped his nostrils as he exhaled violently. “The nerves of that old broad.” Sighing was the only calm action he took as he remained poised along put a fragment of the stretch of sandy consistency. The air moved both slowly and silently, allowing for the penetration of sound to be easily observable as only small dunes and mounds reached out around the boy for miles; infiltration by conventional means would be next to impossible. Nonetheless, that was how he wanted it; it was the reason for this location.
Maybe if I continue proving myself, he’ll finally give me some worthwhile missions.
Sand, so much sand. Yuu hated walking on sand. The wind that blew across the desert forced his hat into his pack, replaced instead by a cloth scarf he'd almost forgotten to bring. It was a necessary trek, and despite sand worming its way into places he dare not speak of, the trip would be totally worth it.
It was the compass Yuu carried that kept him going in the right direction at all. There was little plant life to be had, but when Yuu finally came across a patch of flora, he crouched, eying the yucca plant. Grabbing the canteen at his hip, he cracked it open, then performed the ox and snake seals. Stroking his fingers down the length of the leaves, the yucca leaf dried out, moisture condensing into a tendril of water that the medic guided into the canteen. It wasn't much, but there were enough leaves on the large plant to mostly fill the canteen. Glancing first at the sun, then back at his compass, Yuu took a sip of the water and continued onward.
He was almost at the village when the wind died down, and he pulled the cloth away from his head, revealing the Iwa headband around his forehead. When going to another village it was best to clearly identify who he was and where he was from.
There was relief when the tall walls of the village came into view, and he sped up, anxious to get off this blasted sand onto some solid ground. As he neared, Yuu could see a figure sitting in the sand, and he paused, tilting his head. Who in their right mind would just sit out here? But it wasn't really his concern as it was. Perhaps it was a guard. When he got close enough to identify pink hair, he called out.
“Hello!”
Yuu absolutely did not want to come off as aggressive. The first time he'd come to Suna, he'd all but been run off over a simple mistake. That was something he did not want to happen again. It was irritating to explain to foreign authorities. Still... this person.
“Are you perhaps a gatekeeper?” he asked in a low voice.
Jutsu Used:
TEKIHUTSU [EXTRACTION] C|| NINJUTSU || SUITON || CLOSE || SUPPLIMENTARY
Yuu is able to extract water from the ground, plants, and air. He is not, however, able to extract from humans or animals. This water then has a variety of uses, but it's generally used to provide drinking water, as he can also extract impurities from it. Unless he has a container to put the water in, he can only extract a mouthful at a time. This jutsu allows his teammates and himself to travel not only without need to carry water but also with no need to find it when traveling.

Seemingly trapped in his own self-induced irritation, the arrival of another completely escaped Ryu, until of course he looked towards the front of him noticing a kid was standing in front of him and his large 'personal space' was breached; Ryu was already mad at the Kazekage and did not really want to talk to anybody else at this brought upon a new level of pissed. He noticed the kid was from another village, Iwagakure to be exact and so he put his guard up, flames started to cover his body and he started heating up for a potential battle just in case.
As the shinobi stood a stretch of space away, the young man gradually took to a full stand. Knuckles pushing against the golden sands as he raised himself, he finally found his body erect as his eyes tightened into the distance. Small, lean and awkwardly fair, the skin pigmentation alone was enough to warrant some form of suspicion. Living in the desert where your only comfort came from the sun itself, a tan was but a prerequisite of those native to these parts.
“Hello!” The kid greeted Ryu as if he was from his own village, it was quite awkward and Ryu really didn't expect it. However, this could be some plan and the kid could attack Ryu at any moment, but, to be completely honest, the kid didn't look much of a fighter. Ryu ignored the purple haired kid's second inquiry and asked him something.
“Are you gonna just stand there n’ look dumbfounded?” He inquired indignantly.
Rude and uncouth, Ryu made his presence known in his powerful stance. Lightly-tanned skin complimented sallow white, billowing pants that fitted perfectly into the sides of his sandals. Thin, though muscular arms were folded over his chest, partially clouding a strong chest cavity and a sleeve-less black vest; embroidered on his sash? The insignia of his village—Sunagakure. Legs shoulder-length apart and a stern facial realm, he was prepared for anything.
Yuu's eyes widened a bit as he stopped dead in his tracks. It wasn't every day that you see someone spontaneously combust. While it was interesting to see, it was clear he would have to tread lightly.
“Are you just gonna stand there n' look dumbfounded? Well?”
Blinking once, Yuu responded with a smile.
“I dunno... I think I do the 'dumbfounded' look well.”
From the look of his physical form, cloaked in flames, a fight with this guy wouldn't be favorable. Yuu adjusted the bowstring that crossed his chest. Aside from the sand, another thing Yuu didn't like about the desert was that he was rather vulnerable. The ground had no water for him to use, and the sand made it difficult to put adequate distance between them as he wasn't used to walking on it. Of course, that also depended on the enemy he was facing...
Yuu's fingers stayed on the bowstring, prepared to pull it off and attack if need be. Hopefully this guy was only trying to be intimidating.
“Stand down. I'm a medic. I'm not here to fight you.”

The closer he moved in, the more fervent Ryu became. While subtle, and most likely as a means to upturn the chain of communication, the young Salamander saw it as one thing—an immediate challenge. Hostile or otherwise, it mattered little, the challenge was placed on the table the moment his sandaled feet struggled to cross the already nominal stretch of sand between the two. The idea of battle was mouthwatering, action-evoking and something the pink-haired Shinobi couldn’t ignore; it was an involuntary function developed from years of zealous combat.
Arms still folded across his chest, Ryu’s own body temperature briskly increased; the sensation of potential combat was enough to get him burning! He appeared to be ordinary, though those were always the ones whose bark never compared to the bite. That realization alone was the reason why Ryu donned the bare essentials: His Hitai-ate, pants and some form of a shirt—it was everything he needed, however, his temperature started to drop down and he remembered his conversation with the Kazekage. He didn't want to trust this Iwagakure member at all but he couldn't pick fights with everyone, instead, he introduced himself to the little brat.
"I'm Ryu." No last name needed, that was something only earned on the battlefield in the boy’s eyes. "What's your name and why is a shinobi who hails from Iwagakure all the way here?" Something about the kid couldn’t settle and compromise with the Sand Ninja and the headband of Iwagakure was proof enough this man didn’t belong near Sunagakure. He was a threat the moment the Salamander realized such a lacking quality. However, he was trying to be more politer than usual to see if he could earn some rep with the Kazekage.
Everything about this shinobi emaneted aggression. Annoying little...
“I'm Ryu. What's your name and why is a shinobi who hails from Iwagakure all the way out here.”
“Yuu. I'm here to trade medical supplies with the hospital.”
His hand raised slightly. At this distance using the bow wouldn't be optional. Stabbing directly with the arrow would be more effective. If this child was as brash and hotheaded as he seemed, it may be the only way to get him to sit down and listen. The numbing would ensure it barely even hurt, and he could heal it afterwards. Hopefully it wouldn't need to come to that.
“Check my bag if you must. You'll find bundles of dried herbs, salves, and remedies.”
Naturally other traveling supplies too, but that would be a given. If all else failed, it was a simple task to summon his bees.

“Yuu. I'm here to trade medical supplies with the hospital.”
The little kid's name was Yuu and it seemed as if he was an apprentice medic in training. If Ryu wanted he probably could clobber Yuu in a battle but he decided to hold off for the time-being. The foreign shinobi did not seem much of a fighter so he probably was a medic of some sort. The kid offered Ryu to search his bag but Ryu could not care less, if he was lying and was a real threat Ryu would take him out with no doubt what so ever. The kid seemed to start getting tense as he put his hand on his bow and arrow which lied on his back. If he had a bow and arrow equipped Ryu could conclude he wasn't much of a ninjutsu or taijutsu prodigy and probably leaned towards mind techniques like genjutsu. Ryu started walking towards the kid, he meant no harm as of the moment but he would fight back if needed. When he was within three meters of the kid he extended his hand, hoping the kid would shake it. As he extended his hand the winds around Sunagakure started to die down and the heat levels started to drop, Ryu hated the cold, he was so used to the heat of the desert sun that he really can't focus when it's cold. The flames that covered Ryu started to die down which meant he wasn't so nervous and his testosterone levels started to drop which started to drop his aggressiveness levels.
"If you are truely here to exchange herbs with the medics of this village, I will guide you. Don't try any tricks though or your head will probably be chopped off."
There was a sigh of relief when Ryu extended his hand. Testy testy. Yuu extended his own hand in response, shaking the large, rough one that was offered. Yuu needed to start looking into taijutsu a little more to get rid of that vulnerable feeling.
“If you are truly here to exchange herbs with the medics of this village, I will guide you. Don't try any tricks though or your head will probably be chopped off.”
“I wouldn't dream of it. But thank you,” he said with a slight bow, “I highly appreciate your offer.”
When fear of thread died down, along with the temperature, Yuu studied the male who guided him. Pink hair stood out in a crowd. Tan, muscled. Probably a taijutsu user, with katon ninjutsu by the way he lit up. Would be better to make friends with this fellow. It wouldn't be the last time Yuu would come to Suna.
The architecture in this village was always intriguing to Yuu. A large domed tower where the Kazekage resided stood in the center, and the main streets all led to It like a starburst. It was all quite different from the spires and bridges of Iwagakure.
“What were you doing out in the sand, if I may ask?”
As the two walked beside one another Ryu was able to observe the foreign shinobi more closely and he was going to take everything about the kid in, he didn't want to take any risks. The kid was way leaner than Ryu was due to the fact he didn't possess much muscle at all. The headband of Iwagakure was tied tightly to his forehead and as they passed through Sunagakure civilians stared at the duo, it wasn't very common that a foreign shinobi would come to visit another land, especially in crisis times like these. Yuu must have had a lot of guts to come here by himself especially with all the Bijuu running around wreaking havoc wherever they desired to travel. The two continued silently until the silence was broken with a question coming from Yuu's mouth. “What were you doing out in the sand, if I may ask?”. That question really bothered Ryu and he didn't feel like answering it, if he did he probably would get more mad reminding himself and so he decided to lie to the stranger, he didn't really need to know the real reason why Ryu was out there anyway. "Was just taking a break from the everyday shinobi life, I usually sit outside there to relax, it helps me relieve my stress."
Times had changed over the past two hundred years in Sunagakure and the hidden village now was shaped like a circle with three gates. One separated the outside of Sunagakure and the outskirts of it, the next separated the outskirts and the middle class folks and the next gate separated the higher class and the middle class. Ryu hated the new system of Sunagakure very much and wanted it to go back to how it was in the past where nobody was ever separated and everyone was together. "So, how's it in Iwagakure? We haven't heard from them in a while." Around two minutes after the Shakuton user posed the question they reached the gates which separated the outskirts of Sunagakure and the homes of the middle class of Sunagakure. As they approached, the four guards the protected the second gate of Suna stared at Yuu, they were probably surprised that a shinobi of Iwagakure had come to visit in times of these. One of the guards walked up to the duo and posed a question towards Ryu.
"Hey Mr. Demand Respect Everywhere He Goes! Who's this small purple haired companion you've brought along with you?"
Ryu was already pissed and really did not want to start up a conversation with this guy.
"Yuu, he's a medic from Iwagakure no Sato and has come to trade medical supplies with the hospital."
The guard let out a sly smirk and spoke. "Yeah right, you know how many times you've lied to me, Ryu? Hey, kid, lemme' search the bag you've got on you real quick, alright?"
“Was just taking a break from everyday shinobi life, I usually sit outside there to relax, it helps me relieve stress.”
Sitting out unprotected in the desert didn't seem relaxing to Yuu, but again, he wasn't from this country. His own village was protected by a mountain range. The only sand in the Earth Country was a ten-mile stretch to the border of the Wind Country, and at the shores to the north, neither of which were near the village. Ryu's voice pulled Yuu from his thoughts.
“So how's it in Iwagakure? We haven't heard from them in a while.”
Yuu;s lips pursed at the question, debating on whether to answer at all or not. Speaking of the village was forbidden, but again he had crossed into enemy lines. There was a chance they may not even let him leave. Being a hostage didn't sound like a favorable option, not when he walked into it himself.
“Climate has been hotter this year than it has been in a while. We've been doing well,” Yuu hummed in response.
When in doubt, talk about the weather. As they approached the guards, one of whom came to close the gap, Yuu could already tell this one was going to be cocky.
“Hey Mr. Demand Respect Everywhere He Goes! Who's this small purple haired companion you've brought along with you?”
With the grace of a twelve year old. Yuu sniffed, biting back the comment. As if pink is any better...But now that would piss off his companion. Can't have that now. Before Yuu could answer, Ryu answered for him.
“Yuu, he's a medic from Iwagakure no Sato and he's come to trade medical supplies with the hospital.”
“Yeah right, you know how many times you've lied to me, Ryu? Hey, kid, lemme' search the bag you've got on you real quick, alright?”
“Of course,”Yuu said with a smile.
Carefully, Yuu pulled his bow off , setting it on the ground like a walking stick and squeezing it at his armpit. With it free, he was able to slip off his bag and hand it to the guard. Would be better than being touched. The guard eyed the bow.
“Give that to me, too.”
Yuu frowned in hesitation, but after a moment, handed it over. It was tall and cumbersome, over five foot in length, but the guard held it under his arm as Yuu did, and zipped open the bag to inspec. A blanket roll, granola and jerky wrappers... under the blanket he found a plastic bag. Pulling at it revealed dried herbs.
“Astragalus,” Yuu identified for him, “for health of lungs and liver. And borage, for health of the heart.”
Pushing the herbs aside, the guard found jars and extracted them as well.
“Healing salves for rashes and burns, as well as shallow wounds. Added lavender for scent.”
There was a hint of pride in his voice; he'd made those ones himself. As the guard continued to look, he found a scroll. Setting the bag down, he unrolled it, reading the contents.
“This message certifies Kamizuru Yuu for travel into the Wind Country for trade in Sunagakure no Sato of medicinal supplies.
~Ishida Seiji, Tsuchikage ~Shiwase Chitori, Head Medic
“I was the only one who had the guts to actually take the job.”
“Very well then... looks like you weren't lying. This time.”
The guard narrowed his eyes. Rerolling the scroll, he pocketed it. Retrieving the bag from his feet, he tossed both it and the bow back to Yuu. You scrambled to catch the bow, but unfortunately failed to catch the bag in the process, some of the contents falling out. With a sigh he crouched, retrieving his belongings to shove them back into the bag and zip it closed. Jackass.

The original gates of Sunagakure, what a nice sight to see. Since the beginning of the shinobi villages, the gates of the Hidden Sand have been the guardians that protects the people that live inside the gates. Guarding the gate is a total of four ninja who on a daily basis utilize their ability to move sand to open and close the gates to a variety of people. The gates have been closed for the past few weeks due to the Kazekage and a couple members of the ANBU going on a very dangerous mission. If there was an attack the gate can be penetrated but they form right back up due to the fact that the gate is made of hard pounded sand and soft sand to regenerate the damage spots caused by a penetration, also, there is a solid layer of Doton backing the gates up. Two of the four guards started to open the gates after Yuu was finished being inspected, however, the only guard remaining that wasn't doing anything approached the duo. He didn't seem to be paying attention when the first guard had inspected Yuu. He stood in front of the two and ordered them to stop right in their tracks, Sunagakure and their stupid guards were really getting into the head of Ryu. He was having a tough time dealing with them and they only made Ryu's life more hectic.
"What do you want?!" Ryu questioned the guard.
"Let me inspect the boy." The guard replied.
Ryu's body temperature started to rise and flames started to cover his body once more but the flames started to turn blue which was a signal that Ryu was really pissed and didn't want anyone to mess with him. Ryu started to approach the guard and was probably going to push him into the next universe. The guard started to move back and you couldn't blame him, when Ryu was mad he was able to strike fear into the eye's of anyone. The man started to stand down and then the guard from earlier showed up and explained to this guard that he already inspected the purple-haired shinobi from Iwagakure. The first guard apologized and Ryu cursed at both of them a couple times, the two guards both moved to the side and by the time that they moved the gates had opened unveiling the real Sunagakure. Pure desert architecture, countless civilians and shinobi roamed the streets, kids played tag and whatever fauna Sunagakure had sang their songs. It was trulya beautiful sight and it made Ryu feel peace in his mind once again.
Yuu's breath hitched when the second guard wanted to inspect him. Being patted down to search for something else would be entirely dangerous. He didn't like the way his body curved, or how thin his wrists were... just don't touch me. Thankfully the layers and the flak helped, as well as the bracers on his arms. Of course, he was a little surprised when Ryu stopped the second guard with a look alone, and noted to keep extra space between himself and the Suna nin once the flames returned. At all times.
“This here is the real Sunagakure. My home.”
It was even grander inside the gate. Pulling the scarf off from around his neck, Yuu stuffed it in his bag, withdrawing the medic-marked cap and putting it in its rightful place. The brim obscured the Iwa headband, and that worked just as well. He had a feeling he'd be rather unwelcome inside.
The people here seemed a lot more friendly than those of Iwa, running around freely and playing, lots of hustle and bustle. It was a nice atmosphere. The buildings were an attractive shape and color as well. With the night closing in the temperature was dropping to a comfortable level, but he knew it would get much, much colder as the sun sunk below the horizon. He would need to find a place to stay tonight and go to the hospital in the morning. First would probably be checking in with the Kazekage to alert him (her?) to the foreigner reaching the village.
“It's more beautiful than I remember, but I was only here once a long time ago.”
Yuu had an eye for architecture and enjoying seeing the way other villages built their homes. It was different every time.

The moment of joy and relief was soon ruined by a stupid suggestion which offered that the pair go check in with the Kazekage to alert him that the foreign shinobi from Iwagakure had arrived in the village alive and well. This just brought Ryu to a new level of pissed, whatever relief he had building up inside of him was destroyed and he had switched back to how he was a couple minutes ago. He was angry and now exhibiting excessive bitch behavior which was not common for the everyday Ryu, but it was just one of those bad days that everyone has now and then. Visiting the Kazekage meant they had to head straight for the heart of Kazekage, the exact middle and they would have to pass through another gate which Ryu didn't look forward to at all. Ryu didn't acknowledge Yuu's suggestion, he didn't even nod his head, all he did was head straight in the direction of the kage's office with his arms intertwining one another. As they progressed forward to their goal, Ryu spotted two boys fighting around ten meters away. He didn't really like when kids fought over such small things but that just made him a hypocrite. He couldn't really hear what the two boys were saying due to all the chatter and noises surrounding him coming from the village's locals.
He didn't really want to go to the Kazekage's office so he didn't really care how fast he got there. As he got closer to the two, he noticed that they were both Genin and were shinobi in training from Sunagakure. He watched from the sidelines for a bit, eavesdropping their conversation, listening with intent as to what they were arguing about and after a couple of seconds he figured that they were arguing with one another about a girl. Ryu knew a lot of about girls, he was the biggest player in Sunagakure according to him and he would go down as the biggest one in the world one day. Even though it was a side goal, he was sure he would achieve it, he had forgotten about their goal and decided to step in and entrust these little kid's with some advice on how to pick up girls.
"You guys can't pick up girls like this, first, you need to have swag!"
The other two stopped quarreling and peered at Ryu as he demonstrated how to have 'swag'.
Ryu walked on the spot and kept his head high and didn't look down at the ground for one moment which would make you look like you are lost and insecure. He then spread his legs out a bit and tilted his feet as he walked and added an extra bounce in his step. He kept one arm hanging to towards his side and one hand directly over his crotch area. Ryu looked like he was drunk and was making a big fool out of himself as everyone around him stared at him with a nasty look but the two boys started clapping in admiration.
"He's right, why are we arguing when we can have swag!"
"Yeah!" Said the other boy in reply.
They started to practice Ryu's stupid choice of style and started walking away while practicing the technique, they looked even more stupid than Ryu did. While Ryu had made a fool out of himself in front of the whole Sunagakure, he felt proud and accomplished of what he did and it made him happier than what he was in his previous state.
Yuu's interest piqued when he saw the two boys fighting in the street. It wasn't an uncommon thing; boys will be boys, after all, and as long as he wasn't in it, Yuu liked to watch. Horrible, maybe. But it gave him someone to practice on once they were bleeding. Yuu stood beside Ryu, observing alongside. By the headbands they wore, they were shinobi. By their apparent age, they couldn't be any more than genin. And of course, it was over a girl. At least that was one subject Yuu never had to fight over. No one wanted to go anywhere near the girl he had his eye on.
“You guys can't pick up girls like this, first, you need to have swag!”
Yuu's lips upturned to an amused smile. Swag, he says. The smile grew wider as he watched Ryu's example of swag, shoulders beginning to shake in his dire attempt not to laugh at the sorry-ass display. Inevitably he failed, hand over mouth trying to hide the higher-pitched giggling.
“He's right, why are we arguing when we can have swag!”
“Yeah!”
And Yuu's attempts were fruitless when the boy's copied the pinkette's show, both hands clamped over his mouth in quite the failed attempt to conceal the laughter, and he gave up.
“So, let's continue!”
But he couldn't move.
“Haha... you guys look ridiculous... that can't seriously be how it's done here!”
There was a little more squeak in his voice than he would have liked, and he cleared his throat. After a few moments more he waved his hand, catching his breath and lowered his tone.
“Yeah, let's get going. Don't want to arrive too late; it would be rude.”
As they continued on further, another gate came into view, and Yuu frowned. Would he need checked over again? That didn't sound pleasant at all. A necessary evil, he supposed. He was in foreign territory. The reason no one else wanted to come was because no one else wanted to die. Yuu alone had higher hopes in the people of Sunagakure than that. Hopefully, he wouldn't regret that decision. As they neared the gate, Yuu pulled the brim of his had, further obscuring the symbol on his headband. It was better not to have open aggression on first sight.
“Yeah, let's get going. Don't want to arrive too late; it would be rude.”
The gates that separated the middle class and the wealthier class was an idea that Ryu hated very much. Before he was born they had a different system which made everyone feel loved and together but with the appointment of the newer Kazekage came a different approach and ultimately a different system. If Ryu became the Kazekage one day in the future, he would surely erase that idea and reform Sunagakure to how it was in the past. The odd-haired duo neared the gates which would open up and eventually lead them to the Kazekage's Office, Ryu still didn't look forward to it and knew he was just going to stand outside the office and let Yuu do the talking. The gate that they neared had way more guards than the previous gate had. This one had around eight and an additional two members of the prestigious ANBU organization. These guards looked a lot more professional than the previous guards, they were positioned perfectly and did not move at all. It was not until they were a good fifteen meters away from the gates that a guard approached them. The guard towered over both Ryu and Yuu and was a good seven feet tall, he was also a Hyuuga and it wasn't common for them to be so tall. His body was completely toned and his attire consisted of the normal cloak and hood of the ANBU with a wolf mask with red and green markings. He possessed the Byakugan and had black hair that flowed down to his back. The guard almost immediately identified Ryu due to the fact he had been here many times whether it be for a task of some sort or just being summoned by the Kazekage, but even though he recognized him he still checked him from top to bottom, he didn't want to take any risks. He then shifted his gaze to Yuu and turned his Byakugan on which was weird. He seemed to scan Yuu from top to bottom with his kekkai genkai and then scanned him from top to bottom with his hands.
"Do you have a scroll of any sort that gives you permission to come here by yourself? I find it weird that you took the task to come here by yourself in times like these." Ryu thanked god that this guard was way more professional and wasn't wasting their time. Nighttime was nearing and the temperature in the desert drops significantly in the night. In the afternoons the temperature could reach a good forty degrees celcius and in the evenings it could drop to around ten degrees celcius and Ryu hated that.
