After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
you came on like a vision in the dark "D'awwww, did I break you?"
KENTARO ~ ICHIMARU GIN, BLEACH~
Alias: The Blue Eyed Devil Age & DOB: 12 / 01.01. Gender: Male Sexuality: Undecided
Village: Kirigakure Rank & Position: Genin / Squad 2 Chakra Nature: Raiton Chakra Manipulations: Raiton
Appearance
Skinny. Unhealthy. Sickly.
Those are often the very words used to describe Kentaro. A boy with no home, no family, and previously no name, young Kentaro is a fairly small and underweighted child. Standing just shy of five feet in height, his frame is detailed with bleach white skin that stretches itself over cross fairly noticeable skeletal structures. Lacking much body fat and only the required amount of musculature, his frame (if unclothed), is certainly one of an individual who lacks a proper nutritious diet. Though his life since taking residence within the Mist Village has improved in some degree, his ten plus years were those filled with starvation and a constant state of hunger. His stomach has shriveled and even to this day hard foods are hard for him to properly digest. Hair is perhaps the best sign of such a life. Though possessing quite a large amount atop his crown, it falling down to frame both sides of his face, it is very thin and easy to yank out.
Despite all of these otherwise sad features, his face reflects a complete opposite. Showing the progress of his weight gain, his cheeks are rounded and flushed with some details of life. In almost all circumstances, the boy’s mouth is always formed into a half-smile. In the instance this smirk turns into a full grin, a full set of healthy white teeth fills his mouth. It, however, is his eyes that are perhaps the most intriguing quality. Always shut, the boy lives mostly in a state of complete blindness. Used to the dark, it is rare to see them open and alert. But when they are, they are an almost horrifying blue. A near translucent shade, his orbs have a very piercing quality to them. To look into them is as if they are stabbing right into the soul. Often many compliment a violating feeling associated with them. For this fact, it is perhaps a good quality that the boy keeps them shut. It is only during times in which he is extremely serious that those lids rise and the light brings vision to them once again.
Clothing is fairly basic. Not holding a firm amount of money, a simple worker’s kimono is generally the standard attire worn. Only owning a select few, the garment is made of a single piece of fabric that is wrapped around his body. Black in color, the only unique markings placed upon it is a series of strange symbols drawn across the left side. Fitting of his pride for his village (or what remains of it), the branding of Kiri’s logo is worn on the back just below the neck for all to see. In order to keep the cloth on his body, a yellow obi is tied right at the hips. While often seen barefooted, in the few times that he is required to wear footwear, a simple pair of straw sandals often are found upon his feet. Though as flimsy as they are, it is function and keeps the soles of his feet from making contact with rough terrain (a handy feature really).
Personality
Awkward.
That is perhaps the best way to describe young Kentaro. Though potentially born into a fairly happy home, the boy’s earliest memories were not very social. Tossed into a damp, dark room carved out of the earth around the age of four, the majority of his life was spent making idle chitchat with rats (before killing and eating them for nutrition of course), the brief moments of interaction with the Arena’s guards, and then limited talk allowed during the combative bouts he had with other fighters in said Arena. For this fact, the boy does not have very many well established social skills. He often is found lost at jokes, oblivious to general cultural cues, and has overall poor conversational abilities. To him, he learns more about a person fighting them for a few minutes than he ever could from talking to them over a month long period.
That’s not to say that he is a naturally unlikeable person. He has an innocent kindness about him and an overall good humor that is easily liked if one is capable of seeing through his poor social hygiene. Due to not having many friends, the few that he does have are very valuable to him and he will do anything in his power to make sure they are safe and out of harms way. This very characteristic is perhaps a great downside for a ninja, however. Should one gain his trust, he will often be unable to see if he is being used merely as a tool for their benefit, a fact some have taken great advantage of in the past despite his barely double digit age.
There is certainly one trait about Kentaro that is perhaps his most profound: his willingness and ability to kill. Having grown up in an underground fighting arena where he was put in a fight to the death on nearly a daily basis, the boy is certainly not frightened to kill. If anything, he has done it more than many shinobi his superior. Though he doesn’t exactly play dirty, the child certainly does not pull his punches. He fights at his fullest abilities at all times (making training against him a challenge in itself) and will aim to land lethal blows should they come available to him. This is not something that is always intentional, merely a secondhand instinct passed on from his fighting experience.
History
There isn't too much that Kentaro remembers. Experiencing a very traumatic childhood, his mind has for the most part erased most of his memories in attempt to save itself from the pain and experiences he witnessed. For the most part, information was gathered via hypothesis from the limited mind reading techniques Kirigakure's information division was able to recover. It started mostly around the ripe age of four. The boy had a fairly happy life. He had a few siblings and neighborhood friends that he played with on the regular, consumed a decently balanced diet of farmed vegetables and grains, and enjoyed nice game when his father was able to shot a beast down. However, all of that ended when the Fire Nation attacked a group of bandits raided his village.
Multiple men came out of nowhere. They were easily recognized as former shinobi and wielded ninjutsu to great efficiency. Their Katon burned down homes while their Fūton swept the commoner's weaponry away like it was a giant swatting at a fly. Frankly, their was no chance for the small town and their extinction was very eminent. Kentaro's families was one of these unlucky souls. Though his father and elder brothers fought for their lives and to protect the safety of the women and children, they were simply no match. One by one a single man took their lives with a simple knife. Throats were slit, arms dismembered, and guts disemboweled. It was horrific and soon enough, the young four year old boy and his mother was the only two left. After the woman was punched away and knocked to the ground, the boy's bravery stepped in. He moved in front of the assailant and his sole family member. With a cocky laugh, the bandit attacked. Closing his eyes and waiting for death to meet him face to face, a warm fluid splattered itself across his face as a gurgling sound emitted from another's mouth. Dead weight pushed itself against him, forcing the young one to the ground.
As Kentaro opened his eyes, he was in for a surprise. Multiple bones were ejected that from his body from every angle. It pierced through the bandit, killing him in an instant but also did the same towards his mother who was struck just the same. He had little time to morn though. As these retracted, and he pushed off the male from his blood-covered body, more attackers came. Rather than killing him out right, the men merely knocked him out with a strong strike to the head. His ability was something very unique and something that the world hadn't seen in over three hundred years. It was the legendary kekkei genkai of the Kaguya clan and because of such, he was quite a costly individual on the black-market. He made his capturers a fine penny. Purchased by a sick and twisted man, the boy found himself thrown into an underground fighting arena. Acting as the establishment's growing attraction, Kentaro was literally forced to fight for his life on a near daily basis. It was a kill or be killed place. The man figured his bloodline limit would prove very handy and provide him with interesting victories. However, he was wrong.
You see, the kid did not know how to control said abilities. To be quite frank, the very use of it during the raid was a lucky and spontaneous event. Though he wasn't too strong on his own, being a scrawny little thing, he was seemingly resilient. He could take quite a beating and stand back up seemingly unharmed. He might bruise and bleed, but his bones were like steel. In the instance that they broke, they seemed to work their way back together and repair even stronger than it was right before his opponent's eyes. Practically impossible to wear down and capable of winning fights that otherwise someone his stature certainly couldn't fight, Kentaro became quite a money gatherer. As he matured and grew accustomed up to this certain lifestyle, the kid grew more theatrical. He would flip and tumble across the arena, further wearing his opponent's down whilst entertaining wealthy and impoverished alike. His owners often rewarded such behaviors, granting him better meals, a comfier bed, and cleaner water.
By the time he was eight, life continued very much the same. He trained, he ate, he fought, he slept: often in that very order. It was a harsh life but it made him quite a fighter. It was by this age that the boy began to learn more about his bloodline ability. Though far from masterful, he could emerge a few bones from his limbs and torso to fight and defend. This unfair advantage made him move up from children and teens to the "adult" category. His first fight was very one sided. His foe, being much stronger than him constantly kept breaking his bones, shaping limbs out of socket, or anything he could do to cripple the boy in some shape or form. He was a very cruel and vindicate man, purposely torturing him and taunting him with everything that he did. Truly, he only survived by one feat...a bijuu attacked. Released and on rampage as ninja attempted to seal it, the Goubi literally crashed into the underground arena. Walls collapsed and support beams failed as debris rained down on those inside. Kentaro, being both small and easily healed, was one of the few to make it out. And, in the first time in four years, he finally saw the sky...breathed fresh air.
As he staggered out of the rubble, blood matted across his clothes, face, and hair, various individuals suddenly appeared around him. Startling him, the kid quickly took a defensive stance. They were ninja, that was easy to tell, but unlike the bandits, they had a gentle aura about them. A woman, more than likely the one in charge, spoke out to him in a calming voice. She stated they weren't there to harm. They were medics, healers of the shinobi trade. The woman personally worked at his injuries and even assisted cleaning the blood off his body. Feeling comfortable for the first time in ages, Kentaro eventually feel asleep in her arms. And it was there he rested as she and her comrades made their way back towards their homeland.
When he woke up, Kentaro found himself in a well lit room upon a very clean bed. He was clothed in a simple kimono with numerous bandages wrapped around the sites of all of his injures (some caused by his very bloodline ability). Pushing himself up and looking about, he was greeted by a smiling face. It was the same woman. She introduced herself as Hozuki Ayane and she was one of the lead medics within the remains of Kirigakure's hospital. She informed him of his location and that he was safer here than out in the ruins of the Land of Water. In addition, she noted that during the brief exam performed on him that he was a fighter. His body literally screamed of trials and bloody errors. "Though you do not have to accept my offer, I'm asking on behalf of our fallen leader, will you repay our saving of you and join in the process of helping our village recover and join our forces?" With some hesitation, he eventually nodded.
The next few years were quite a blur for the young boy. With training, his instructors were able to help him discover how to properly use his kekkei genkai. From his years in the arena, the kid was an excellent close quarter fighter. Though sloppy, after some refinement, his former showoff-y-ness shifted into a very acrobatic and agile combative style. To many, it looked like a flowing dance with no motion wasted and strikes far from lineal. It easily made up for his poor ninjutsu and genjutsu. On his time away from the academy, Kentaro focused on his self growth. The world literally open and freedom blessing him for the first time, he became quite obsessed with running. For hours on end would he dart around the village or through the forests that surrounded it. Never again would he be limited to a small cell. With many days, months, and years accumulated doing such a simple task, the kid's speed only seemed to grow. Adding wondrous chakra and it grew to the point he could vanish from sight itself.
Having only just recently graduated from the ninja Academy, Kentaro currently awaits the trials of shinobi-hood set ahead of him and just where it might take him.

i. Shikotsumayku: Inheriting the once thought extinct kekkei genkai of the Kaguya clan, Kentaro holds the rare ability to directly modify and change his bone structure. With this, he often emerges various sharp skeletal constructs to use offensively as weapons or armors to defend. His talent with his bloodline is strong enough to make his bones stronger than steel.
ii. Shukuchi: If Kentaro is known for anything, it is that of his speed. Being perhaps one of the fastest shinobi in all of the Mist, the boy is able to dart around the battlefield faster than most eyes can follow. The pitter patter of his little feet is often the very last thing a person sees and hears before meeting a quick (and hopefully painless) death.
