After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
After using the necessary hand seals the user molds his or her doton chakra to create lookalikes from compressed stone, either by vomiting up the required minerals or by shaping rocks in the area. These clones possess roughly one-tenth of the original's physical abilities, and can only use chakra-intensive techniques of the earth release. As they are constructed from stone they are noticeably resilient to damage than the comparably ranked clone skills, able to take multiple blows before falling apart. Unlike other clones, ones generated by this method do not disappear when struck with sufficient force, but rather break apart.
A technique that transforms the earth surrounding the user into a fluid, allowing them to close in on the enemy with high speed by swimming underground. Since being under the ground is a blind spot, the target has no warning; allowing the user to launch a surprise attack. By using this technique in conjunction with a weapon, it also gains great effect as an "assault ninjutsu".
Note; Cannot preform jutsu while underground, as such preparing techniques as well is a no go until the user has resurfaced. Must maintain chakra upkeep to continue technique and to avoid suffocating.
Doton: Dochuu Eigyou [Earth Release: Underground Fish Projection] C-Rank|| Ninjutsu || Earth || Short-Mid Range || Supplementary
Dochuu Eigyo is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a set of handseals, the user conceals themselves beneath the earth, much like in Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu. However, now they are capable of moving through the earth like a fish moves through water, allowing them to stage surprise attacks or escape from a potentially deadly onslaught.
Note; Cannot preform jutsu while underground, as such preparing techniques as well is a no go until the user has resurfaced. Must maintain chakra upkeep to continue technique and to avoid suffocating.
By encasing their arm in rock, the user can deal a powerful hardened punch against an opponent while being protected from direct contact with their target. If necessary, the weight of the rock can be increased to further increase the punch's destructive power.
After striking the ground with their hands, the user creates a large wall of earth in front of him. The defense is not perfect though, since a hard or drilling impact such as the Spiked Human Bullet Tank technique can puncture the wall. Also, since this technique only guards against frontal attacks, the enemy can easily attack from the side or even from above.
Retsudo Tenshou is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing the required handseals, the user slams their palms into the ground. The surrounding rock will begin to churn in whirlpool-like manner beneath an opponent, twisting and turning to crush all those trapped within it.
Note; Can only be performed in an area with natural earth and rock.
This technique lets the user condense mud or stone from the ground and shape it into spikes that protrude from the ground in order to skewer the target. The spikes cannot penetrate targets of greater density.
The user creates a solid wall of earth as a form of defense. Chakra is either converted to earth within the body and then spat out to form the wall or the user can manipulate pre-existing earth to form the wall. The earth then instantly rises up and takes form. The barrier itself is also coated with chakra, making its strength incomparable to that of a normal mud wall. Because of the earth's special characteristics, the wall is highly resistant against, for instance, fire and water.
Doton: Domu [Earth Release: Earth Spear] B-Rank|| Ninjutsu || Earth || Short-Mid Range || Offensive
Domu is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a single handseal, the user flows chakra through all parts of their body. Their skin becomes noticeably darker as earth is infused with it, granting them a higher defensive power. Furthermore, the destructive power of physical attacks is increased, making this a great all-purpose technique. Not many techniques can breech the areas hardened by Domu, excluding its undeniable weak point: Lightning Element ninjutsu.
Doryou Dango is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing the required handseals, the user strikes the ground with their hands, grabbing onto it. Chakra flows into the earth, and the user is able to overturn a large dumpling-shape chunk the size of a mausoleum. This chunk feels light-weight to the user because of their chakra control; they can hurl it at their opponent, flattening all in its path. The destructive power is obvious, and even just the visual impact is enough to make enemies lose their fighting spirits and run away.
The user infuses their doton chakra into the ground, calling a massive mass of earth to the surface in the shape of a serpentine dragon's head and neck. From the mouth of this construct spews forth a high-speed spray of debris in a single stream, ranging from mud and pebbles to basketball-sized chunks of earth. These materials are launched with sufficient power to blow holes through entire buildings and send shinobi hurtling backwards. The mud present in this spray sticks to the foe's body and hardens to concrete-like densities near instantaneously. This cementing effect hinders victim's movement, oftentimes gluing them in place until they can chip off the dried earth.
Doryuu Jouheki is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing the necessary handseals, a large earthen rampart will erupt from the ground beneath their feet, pushing them up into the sky. Depending on what the user imagines, the shape of the rampart can be anything from level ground to a steep, needle-like mountain. This technique is useful for increasing the amount of earth one has to work with, aiding or foiling escapes, and drastically altering the terrain.
A-Rank
Doton: Yomi Numa [Earth Release: Swamp of the Underworld] A-Rank || Ninjutsu || Earth || All Ranges || Supplementary
Yomi Numa is a Ninjutsu technique which utilizes the Earth Element. After performing a set of handseals, the user manifests a filthy, bubbling swamp beneath their opponent. The swamp's mud is infused to make it adhesive, making it highly difficult to recover enough strength to escape it. It pulls those trapped inside it down like quicksand, until they've been covered and suffocate to death. As soon as the trapped opponent has been absorbed, however, the swamp immediately disappears - as if it was never there to begin with.
This technique allows the user to create a large, humanoid creature composed of rock that can either be expelled from the user's mouth or formed from a nearby, pre-existing source of earth. Depending on the user, the golem can be formed instantly or will rapidly grow once projected.
The size of the golem differs depending on it's use, but it always possesses an ample amount of brute strength, being able to bite and tear through bodies with ease] It is very durable, being able to withstand a point-blank explosion. This makes the golem ideal whether it be serving as additional support or simply as a mobile shield.
Contrary to its counterpart the Earth Release: Added-Weight Rock Technique, instead of making the target heavier, this technique makes it much lighter. This allows freer manipulation of the affected objects, which would normally carry considerably more weight and as such, require a greater amount of exertion to move. The technique can be used on the user or other shinobi to increase their speed, but as a consequence of using it this way, it results in the decrease of the physical force of their blows.
Note; Iwagakure exclusive, must be our higher to learn unless taught the technique or given Tsuchikage permission.
This technique simply allows the user to increase the weight of their target. When the technique is applied at it's maximum capabilities, it will petrify plant life [even trees] and flesh alike, causing it to enter a crumbling or falling apart state.

S-Rank
Doton: Keijūgan no Jutsu [Earth Release: Ultra Light-Weight Rock Technique] S-Rank|| Ninjutsu || Earth || Short-Range || Supplementary
This technique is a more advanced version of the Earth Release: Light-Weight Rock Technique, in which the user drastically decreases the weight of their target, but to a much greater extent than that of the original ability. Expert users can use this technique along with over-exerting themselves to lift enormous objects that they normally wouldn't be able to such as a meteorite or an entire island.
