After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Appearance
Standing at five feet and eleven inches and weighing around one-hundred and sixty five, Chinatsu is what one might call, a not so buff man. It is quite obvious that the man doesn't go out of his way to make his body physically fit. In fact its so apparent that there is next to no visible muscle on the man's body except for a slight definition in his pectorals and hamstrings. Chinatsu also supports one of those builds that gives him longer and thinner fingers.
Chinatsu's skin is all but blemish free. Its pale and rather soft until one sees the large gash scar across his back that is possibly from some sort of old battle injury. This scar reaches from the lower right side of his back to his left shoulder, and spreads about four inches at its widest point around where it hovers over his spine. Another flaw in Chinatsu's body would be that he only has a single crimson orb having lost the other one some time ago.
Chinatsu's silver tresses are usually kept so as to display a sort of messy yet tame attitude. They stop just sort of his shoulders with his bangs swept to the left side of his face. His hair is considerably wavy in some areas as well even forming two bumps in his tresses around the upper left and right of his head.
As for his clothing, Chinatsu typically wears mesh armor as his very basic layer of clothing. This consists of a long sleeved shirt and long leggings that reach his wrists and ankles. Over this he wears a black skin tight, in the torso area but looser down below, jump suit with a turtle neck design that stretches about midway up his neck, the leggings of the jumpsuit reach down to about mid shin. Over this he wears a stone grey flak jacket with red shoulder pads over top of a dark red sleeveless trench coat. For footwear he wears shinobi edition combat boots with his toes, but not heels, exposed.
Personality
Chinatsu likes a lot of the simpler things in life. He enjoys going for strolls through the village in the evening hours and he takes his tea with four cubes of sugar in it. He likes to listen to the birds sing their songs and enjoys watching children play 'ninja'. Chinatsu, as most would put it, is a rather laid back sort of individual that most wouldn't believe upon meeting him that he's actually the leader of one of the most important Corps in Iwagakure.
Of course when need be, Chinatsu is more than capable of being serious and when that time comes, he certainly gets his work done. However, Chinatsu being serious for once is actually rare enough to the point that if the man were to actually be seen publicly as being serious then it would be a clear sign that something of misfortune is about to befall the village. Chinatsu takes the lives of his friends and comrades extremely seriously and if they were to ever be in jeopardy the man would not hesitate to put his life on the line to protect them. This is partially the reason why, despite being the head of his clan, he refuses to have children.
Chinatsu is the sort of man that views family as a weakness. Not so much because he doesn't want to have family or because he hates children, which he doesn't, but rather because of the fact that if anything were to happen to a relative of his he knows that he would go insane. So he views it best to stay away from the possibility altogether and even goes as far as to not allow himself to become romantically tied to anyone. This often reflects in the man's personality as him being a bit more distant from his blood relatives and even more from his friends. It's simply his own way of being protective of them.
However if the occasion ever did arrive that Chinatsu would have to put his life on the line for whatever reason, you can bet the man doesn't fight fairly. He views fighting fairly as a waste of time and will take any opportunity he can get to take down someone that he has deemed a target. This goes from acting the part of a civilian to suddenly stab the person in the back with a hidden blade, all the way to layering techniques on top of one another to catch a target by surprise.
History
They were faint; the cries of the newborn child into the world on the crisp winter eve. The moon's rays filtered through the murky clouds that threatened to permanently cut the world off from the sky for all eternity. A young mother ran through the snow banks to flee from those that would dare harm the child. It would be all for naught. She would be captured, tortured, and eventually she would be rescued. His mother nearly died that day, instead only her sanity took the fall.
Life in an unforgiving world was difficult for a young child. He grew up constantly in the care of various caretakers. Many of those caretakers not even capable of squashing a bug. The child lived a young life of terror and bloodshed. He lost many of his friends at a young age, and even as he continued to grow, he was constantly a target for those that wished to cripple the clan. He'd never understand why at this age, but when he did eventually grow up, he understood all too well.
At a young age the boy would need to be able to protect himself. Many would attempt, however none would be able to teach this boy how to fight. He simply could not master the arts of his own clan and it would be only the father of his friend's father that would discover the reason. The boy was not adept in the Doton element, the element of his clan, but rather Katon. This would cause many complications for the boy at first seeing as how there were very few Katon users in his village, however the boy would persevere.
Fortunately for the boy, the grandfather of his friend was willing to teach him what little he could recall from his days as a shinobi. So the young boy's training began, and through these many sessions, slowly the boy would also begin to learn about the outside world and these places where shinobi gather. These places where his family could be safe. They were known as the hidden villages.
By the time the boy entered his teen years he was already beginning to grasp Katon fairly well, and with this new control over his chakra it was also becoming apparent that he was also capable of manipulating much more than just Katon. Given time it was starting to look like he could possibly master everything those in his little village could teach him, only he wouldn't be given this time. By the time he was fifteen his village was attacked and all but destroyed in a single night.
It was a fierce battle that resulted in many casualties on both sides. The numbers of his family was cut in by one third, one of those that had fallen being the boy's own father. However in the fierce battle the boy showed his skill, not only in the shinobi arts, but in leadership. The boy seemed to have a natural talent for it. Under his guidance his family came out of the conflict with only minimal casualties, however two major things would be lost that day. The boy lost two things. A father's love, and his left eye.
By the time the dust settled and the boy was officially leader of the family, the boy had learned the gruesome truth. There was no hope for them if they remained in these conditions for much longer, and after much convincing of the other families in their ransacked village, the boy whom all would hope to live to see a great many summers, Chinatsu, would be able to lead their caravan to one of the Hidden Villages.
It would take about two years for them to finally find the village. They lost a great many people, including Chinatsu's old mentor, to bandits, the wilds, and sickness along the way. However when at long last the Tsubasa found their way to Iwagakure no Sato, they were welcomed with open arms. Not by Iwagakure, but rather their kinsman that already lived in the village.
Chinatsu learned more then than any other time in his life. He learned of the hardships of their world and how everything was so easily corrupted. He learned of the divergence between his father and uncle and before long, he learned of the five great nations. By the time the boy was eighteen, though he had come to a decision, and so he left the clan in the care of the side branch leader, Toshio Tsubasa, his uncle so that the young man could learn more about the world as a whole, and in order to accomplish this, the boy knew he would need to become a true shinobi.
The young man would appeal to a great many people higher up in the shinobi chain, and eventually he would be granted, but only after taking his case to the Kage, the ability to have a mentor. A mentor that would teach him the basics before he would have to take the test to become a Genin. So by the time he was Nineteen the young boy had become a Genin is what many might consider record time from when his formal training began, but this would only be because of his formal training and the mental capacity to grasp a great more many things as his age.
He was placed on a special team with people closer to his own age as a genin, and together they would constantly train, boast, and go on missions. This seemed great for a long time, even well into Chinatsu's Chūnin years as the team remained together. Only when they were sent on a special mission did Chinatsu find something out of place. Or rather it was when they went to return.
Their sensai had been in the hospital due to injury from a fight on one of his previous missions, so a newcomer was leading their mission. Only something seemed more than off to Chinatsu about the guy. He was acting strangely. By the time Chinatsu figured out why, it was way too late. The man turned on the Chūnin. He attacked them and killed one of them, a young woman and Chinatsu's love at the time. Upon seeing his close friend die the Tsubasa went completely mental. He lashed out at the man in a blind fury. He completely forgot about his other teammate who was heavily bleeding. It was only when the man went to deal an ending blow to the male that Chinatsu rushed forward to save him. At the cost of another horrid gash to his back, over the spinal area exactly, that would come within centimeters of crippling him.
It was quickly becoming apparent that the Chūnin was fighting a losing battle. The Jōnin was just too powerful for him. However that was when something spectacular happened. Chinatsu was running, attempting to get his teammate to safety despite all of his own pains and bleeding. There was a loud explosion and a strange force that threw chinatsu forward several yards. Unfortunately his teammate would die from the event, however on that day, Chinatsu would come face to distant face with the legendary Gobi. It seemed as though the beast had been attracted by their malice, however the real reason as to why it came would remain as a mystery to the Chūnin as he faded out of consciousness.
It was miraculous that Chinatsu actually survived that day. It seemed that someone had heard the explosion the Bijuu had caused and found him because of it, because when Chinatsu came to he was in Iwagakure's Hospital. He learned the bitter truth that day that only himself and his mentor remained of his old team. For the longest time after that day Chinatsu would constantly be in a state of despair. It was only when he came to terms with himself a year later that he would begin devoting 100% of his time to his training.
So much that by the time he was twenty-nine the man had well mastered a great many Katon techniques on top of creating his own. Not only this but he had also discovered his aptitude for Fūton and Suiton by this time as well. Suiton was much more difficult for him to grasp however, but not impossible. By this point, however, Chinatsu had also become a Jōnin and had little time to himself anymore.
It was about a year after he became Jōnin that he got his first Genin team. They were a bunch of misfits on a whole new level. One of them seeming to never to remember to wear a shirt and the other a bee of a different color. Chinatsu, at first, was a bit too lenient in his training of the group if only because of the fact that he was still doing a lot of his own training on the side. However after about a year the male became a bit more strict and hands on with the team, not literally of course.
It became so that soon, after only their second year together, and through much persistence of one of the team members, that the genin would not only enroll in, but manage to pass through the Chūnin Exams. They were no longer children, and while Chinatsu no longer needed to guide them, he continued to mentor them and routinely check on them as any good mentor should. However around his thirty-fifth year he would no longer be capable of doing this.
There was an incident within his clan. Something had happened and Chinatsu's uncle was going berserk because of it. While Chinatsu never learned the true cause of the incident, he was saddened to discover he would be forced to take action against his own family. Chinatsu was hesitant at first, he didn't want to harm his uncle, but after a horrid gash to his back, all thoughts about that went out the window as he watched the man burn to ashes, and he effectively took the title of Clan Head back.
After the events of that days, and the loss of several friends and family, Chinatsu began to act entirely different from before. He began to act more distant, and while he was still kind, he no longer allowed himself to get too attached to someone for fear that anyone could become corrupt. He began to carry his uncle's old Shikomizue, a cane sword, with him at this time as a constant reminder of the events of that day.
By the time Chinatsu turned Thirty-Seven, however, everything changed for the man. Through all of his hard work, his training, his mentoring, and leadership of the clan, he was recognized by a great many people, and when the time of the Rokudaime's death, Chinatsu was selected as the Nanadaime, the Seventh Tsuchikage. It has only been one year since his appointment, and so far things are starting to look a bit less bleak for Iwagakure.
i. Nendo Seisei: This is the unique hiden of the Tsubasa Clan. It allows members of the clan to add the property of clan to a vast variety of different Doton Techniques on top of adding entirely new techniques to their overall pool of jutsu.
ii. Blade Proficiency: While it is not stated in his history due to the sheer amount of training Chinatsu has done over the years. Chinatsu spent a great amount of time training in the art of the blade as well as ninjutsu. In many cases he only uses these arts when he is unable to utilize his ninjutsu.
With his proficiency in the blade Chinatsu is capable of performing acts with his blade that many others would consider difficult if not nearly impossible. His proficiency however, is no where near mastery and only gives him a small advantage in close quarters scenarios unless matched with a Taijutsu Specialist or Weapon Specialist of higher proficiency.
iii. High Maneuverability: This doesn't in any case mean Chinatsu is extremely fast or anything, although he is swift, but rather means that Chinatsu is capable of using unconventional means to maneuver around a battlefield so as to limit injury to himself. This comes in many shapes and forms from him being swift to him just plain being fairly flexible.

“Swear to god I'm going into the blank template and making the font bigger. Can't fricken read. XD
In your history, Chinatsu loses his left eye twice. How many does he have?
“Under his guidance his family came out of the conflict with only minimal casualties, however two major things would be lost that day. The boy lost two things. A father's love, and his left eye.”
and
“It was only when the man went to deal an ending blow to the male that Chinatsu rushed forward to save him. At the cost of his left eye.”
I like your choice of jutsu colors, nice and easy on the eyes. The Doton under your D rank isn't brown, though.
