After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

(UZU)NARA SHIKASHU § SHUKAGE §
§ BASIC INFORMATION §
AGE: twenty-six
BIRTHDAY: august 31
GENDER: male
CLAN: uzumaki (Mother) nara (Father)
VILLAGE: konohagakure no sato
RANK: jōnin
POSITION: sensei
CHAKRA NATURE: suiton
CHAKRA MANIPULATIONS:
§ PERSONAL INFORMATION §
APPEARANCE:
Standing at a height of 6'2" and weighing approximately 205lbs, Shikashu is most certainly not your average Jōnin. While many Jōnin would consider being fit to simply be well toned and in overall good physical condition, Shikashu goes above and beyond. Because Shikashu focuses so much on his physical fitness he not only has quite a lot of muscular toning but quite the tan to his skin as well. In fact he focuses so much of his time to his physical fitness, that many of his closer friends and even some of his own relatives wouldn't be anywhere near surprised if there wasn't a single square inch on untoned muscle on his body. Of course this goes to say, that with training comes accidents, and these accidents have left many incidents in which is decently fair skin has been marred beyond repair.
This is especially apparent on his lower back where Shikashu sports a large gash of a scar from an old injury where he apparently thought it was a good idea to wrestle with a pack of wild mammoth boars. Not only does he have quite a variety of scars on his body, others being along his forearms and shins, he also has a myriad tattoos that seemingly dance across his skin and all seem to interlock in some way, shape, or form. These tattoos appear to be very tribalesque in design and go from decorating his forehead all the way down his thighs. They stop at his biceps and are sparse across his abdomen though. These tattoos however, seem to only add to his eccentricity within the Nara Clan as he also sports the crimson tresses of the Uzumaki Clan.
Shikashu's wears his crimson hair extremely lengthy. Lengthy to the point that when worn down it is now capable of reaching the middle portion of his thighs, and while he has to maintain his hair well for his tattoos on his forehead to ever remain on presentation, it is clearly evident that Shikashu doesn't really do much with his hair other than the basic care. This simply because the man usually wears his silken hair one of three ways. Up in a messy ponytail, in a low braid, or, on rare occassion, down. Of course he never has his hair just hanging alone though, as on most occasions the man chooses to sport some sort of forehead cover, usually in the form of some sort of tattered bandanna.
Speaking of clothing, Shikashu's attire on a day to day basis usually remains consistent depending on whether or not he's on duty. While on duty Shikashu prefers to remain ready for combat. His preferred attire being that of a sleeveless long coat trimmed around the flaps with dirty red fox fur. This trim goes all the way up around the back of his neck and down the opening flaps of the coat as well as down along the bottom trim. The long coat itself carries down to about the middle of Shikashu's foreleg (shin/calf). With his coat he also wears dark hued, typically a dark brown almost black, cargo pants that tuck into his combat boots which are also trimmed with the dirty red fox fur. His boots are designed in such a manner as to provide him with maximum protection on his shins and feet, as well as weigh him down, while still allowing him to maneuver efficiently. On his arms he sports carbon steel vambraces lined on the inside with more fox fur to provide him with optimal comfort. No where on his outfit does Shikashu actually sport his Konohagakure Hitai-ate, for stealth purposes, instead choosing to carry it in a secret pocket within his long coat. Along with this he also has various pockets not only in his coat and pants, but within his vambraces and boots as well. He also carries the typical shinobi tool pouch on his left hip with three kunai/shuriken holsters on his left thigh.
However when the man isn't on duty he prefers to dress a little less like he's going to knock the living daylights out of someone. Instead he'll sport a form fitting dark toned sleeveless shirt and cargo pants. He still wears his vambraces and boots, but thats mostly because they're weighted and help him keep up his training at all times. With this attire his shirt is usually tucked into his pants and he wears a white belt around his waist. His black clothed Konoha Hitai-ate will be tethered around his left bicep on these days as he never expects to have to leave on mission.
PERSONALITY:
Shikashu has quite the dynamic personality. It can range from him being confident and smug all the way to quiet and depressed if he happens to fail a mission. The man is quite hard on himself and while he's often confident in his own abilities, he also is very critical of his own mistakes and often goes miles beyond what others would consider healthy to make sure he can better himself. However he often does this in subtle methods such as wearing weighted clothing or playing Shogi with his family.
Overall Shikashu is a rather nice guy and easy to get along with. He's one of those types that would more than gladly go out drinking with someone just to hang out and have a good time. He's even the type to simply lay down and relax in the shade of a tree on a nice day. Of course this isn't to say Shikashu is extremely lazy, cause we all know Nara have those tenancies, but rather that he likes to enjoy life, because more often than not he does in fact tend to spend his free time bettering himself. Whether that is through some form of endurance training or learning a new technique, Shikashu almost always does whatever he can in order to prepare for the fights ahead.
As a friend though Shikashu is one of those types that will stick by your side through thick and thin. Although every now and then he might run away if your anger is directed right at him, usually only in the case of his mother, Shikashu usually means well for his friends. For those that the Nara can truly call his friend he would more than gladly lay down his life, because if a friend of his were to die before him and he had done nothing to help them, he would sooner kill himself then live with that kind of grief. This isn't to say he's suicidal or anything, but rather that he's extremely protective and can get rather attached to those that he cares about.
§ BACKGROUND STORY§
HISTORY:
No one believed that their love would ever bear fruit. It was unheard of. A woman from the outgoing Uzumaki clan dating a man from the lazy Nara clan. It was simply unbelievable that that two would even consider one another, but no one knew just how far back their history, and thus their feelings for one another, went.
When Uzumaki Suzumu was born, no one believed that the child would live through the coming winter. She was born in a small village in the Land of Tea near the southern border of the continent. Her mother had died during childbirth because of an illness she had contracted shortly before, however her father, Uzumaki Akira, was nowhere to be seen. The man was a shinobi from one of the great nations, or rather believed to be from one of them, and it was widely believed by the villagers that the woman was simply a one night stand for the man before he moved on to bigger and better things. Who knew that the woman would become pregnant with his child. So when Suzumu was born nine months later, no one knew quite what to do with the child. No one could afford to take care of a new born. No one even wanted to try with the famine. So the child was abandoned somewhere out in the mountains where she remained for several hours. As fate would have it, a man would find the child and take her into his care. That man was Nara Shikatsuna.
Shikatsuna took the small child with him back to his home in Konohagakure no Sato where he made sure she received the proper care that she needed in order to grow strong. When at long last Suzumu was released from the hospital in her second year of life, the young toddler was introduced to the boy that she would grow up with and eventually fall head over heels for, Nara Shikatomo. Shikatomo and Suzumu quickly became friends and as they grew up they became a duo that was practically inseparable. If one was hurt the other quickly rushed to their side. It was evident from childhood that the two would grow to become something more than just friends, or even step-siblings. The two would become lovers by the time of their late teens, and when they were in their twenties they would even go so far as to become betrothed.
It was inconceivable. A Nara and an Uzumaki living under the same roof. Many thought that the two were simply close friends and happened to live near each other. No one understood simply how close they were. That is, they couldn't understand until one summer evening when the couple was graced by the birth of their first child. On August 31st, Uzunara Shikashu, as his formal name would be, was born.
From the day he was born everyone knew that Shikashu wasn't going to be one of your typical run of the mill children. Being born to members of two different clans caused him to be a bit more unique than most others who were born into a clan. He was born with the vibrant crimson hair of the Uzumaki and the characteristic darker hazel eyes of the Nara. Not only that but he had the energy of an Uzumaki combined with the laziness of a Nara. Two traits he continued to exhibit all throughout his young childhood.
As a toddler Shikashu was often rambunctious. He loved to have fun and explored, but even more than that he loved to observe the world around him. This often led to Shikashu wandering away from the ever watchful gaze of his parents and much to their dismay; often out into the wilderness where many aggressive animals would love to have him for dinner. While at this age the boy never usually got reprimanded for his tenancies, but as he got older he quickly learned that doing this was unacceptable, or at least it was while he was unable to protect himself. Of course this didn’t stop him from pushing his boundaries and eventually getting thrown across a room by his mother, although this didn’t happen until he was much older.
In his childhood, Shikashu, unlike many other children, showed signs of possessing exceptional levels of intelligence. He learned quickly many of the various things his parents would often attempt to teach to him and was fully capable of reading and even writing by the time he was four. By the time he was five he was even capable of comprehending most chapter books that were often teenage level material. Even more so, by the time he was five, he was also capable of comprehending the various arts of ninjutsu. While he couldn’t yet perform them due to his chakra network not yet being able to sustain itself, he quite well understood it. He also understood that ninjutsu and even genjutsu, when being used in combat, would only get you so far. However Shikashu didn’t show much aptitude, or rather interest, in attempting to learn the various arts until later in his life when he was about nine years old.
Shikashu for his younger childhood definitely had his moments where he certainly showed his Nara heritage. This was especially evident when the boy seemed to shirk of his duties, so to speak, when it came to actually learning how to utilize ninjutsu. The boy constantly seemed to be more interested in doing other things such as exploring the forest on his family’s compound and over all enjoying his young life rather than slaving away with studies. However a certain event when he was the age of eight, almost nine, changed his outlook forever.
When Shikashu was eight he was playing a game with a couple of friends, an Akimichi boy and a Yamanaka boy. However when the trio got lost in the woods after having ran around for what must have been hours on end, their previously cheerful tune soon changed. It was getting late and Shikashu knew all too well that dangerous creatures lurked in the forest at night. Wandering about aimlessly was beginning to become tiresome. Shikashu was unable to devise a possible way for them to find their way home and as night was swiftly approaching the trio soon began to actually think that they would die. First began the Akimichi’s whining about being home with a warm meal. Then came the Yamanaka’s musing about being torn apart by wolves. None of it helped the Uzunara’s nerves, and before too long as the boys found themselves huddled below a large tree, the boy broke down. He physically found himself curled up under the tree holding his head in his hands. His nerves were making him unable to think clearly and when they trio found themselves surrounded by a pack of mountain cats; Shikashu honestly thought that there would be no future for the trio. Sure the Yamanaka boy knew some ninjutsu, as did the Akimichi, but neither of them could take on a cat three times their size.
Shikashu knew they were doomed. He was convinced and yet, somehow, he was wrong. When the cats lunged at them they all soon froze in their steps. Before long shadowy tendrils tossed the cats away from the group before some sort of fierce howl scared them off. Shikashu had never been more relieved to witness his mother’s Uzumaki fury. So once he and his friends were all home safe and sound, Shikashu had made his decision. In this world it would be foolish to not learn ninjutsu; otherwise it would become one hell of a pain for yourself later on; especially if your mother happens to chuck you across a room into a book shelf.
Shikashu joined the academy at the age of nine; however since this was his first year he would join at the beginner level causing him to be in classes with kids much younger than himself. This soon came off as an insult to the Uzunara’s intelligence, as well as pride, and inevitably caused the boy to actually start hauling ass for something for the first time since, well… ever. So the boy worked hard. He studied almost every night and any night he wasn’t studying something out of his text books he was practicing practical arts with his father. Before long Shikashu was even allowed to take exams in the middle of the year which would allow him to quickly ascend through the various levels of literature and context until at long last around the middle of the year (at the point in which those of us in the real world would have a mid-term in high or middle school) Shikashu was finally caught up with those of his age, although the boy didn’t stop there. He had found that he really liked learning new things and before long Shikashu had found himself excelling to the point that he soared past those that were his age and by the time he was almost eleven he was already a member of the class that would be graduating. Well to be honest, he was part of this class group for over a year before he decided it was time to get his act together and actually attempt to graduate.
So at the age of eleven, Shikashu formally became a genin. He was placed on a team with a Yamanaka and an Akimichi, however both of them, like himself, also being rather unusual for members of their clans. The Akimichi, while he resembled more of an Akimichi than anything, was born to an Inuzuka mother and Akimichi father. Neither he nor his father were big, plump, men but they were decently built for husky men. While the Akimichi, named Choukuro, was born as one of two male twins, he was the only one to choose to go the Akimichi path while his brother went the Inuzuka path. As for the Yamanaka, he too was from a mixed family; that being Yamanaka and Uchiha. Unfortunately enough for the boy though, his Uchiha blood was far too muddled to grant him access to the Sharingan, but it did give him a cool enough appearance granting him their jet black hair. His name was Inosuke.
While Inosuke and Choukuro were Shikashu’s seniors by two years, they were by no means the boss of him, as both of them quickly learned. Of course when the three of them first met, they definitely had their differences. Inosuke and Shikashu often got in debates over the dumbest things and Choukuro’s Inuzuka blood often clashed with Shikashu’s Uzumaki, but in the end the three of them ended up being one hell of a kick ass team. Of course not until long after they got their asses handed to them on several different occasions. Such as the occasion with the waterfall… Yup… Fuck that waterfall. Long story short, they were on a mission to pick up trash and well someone thought it would be funny to push Shikashu into the deeper water. Well at this point Shikashu had already started doing weight training as part of his taijutsu training, so he pulled the asshole into the water with him. Needless to say they fell over the falls.
Shikashu’s genin years were overall, lack luster. He did a lot of typical genin things during these years. He trained with his team; he went on D and C rank missions. He got yelled at by his mom, a lot. Nothing really stood out for him in those years other than the fact that he constantly preferred working on taijutsu rather than work on anything else. Of course this started to become more balanced later on, especially into his Chūnin years when he really needed to start gaining additional skills with the inclusion of more practical and difficult missions.
The fact that he needed to be better well balanced became extremely apparent to the Uzunara when he and his team went on a particular mission that involved the retrieval of some important documents. Well their mission lead the team right into an ambush where the four of them, Inosuke, Choukuro, Shikashu, and their Jōnin leader, were surrounded by about fifteen bandits. Sure Shikashu was well capable of devising plans and strategies to counter many of these thugs; he was incapable of acting on many of them due to the sheer over whelming odds stacked against them. Thankfully each of them were extremely skilled in their various styles, however they took way too much damage for comfort. Not only that, they lost their target when Shikashu had to make a split second decision and destroyed it.
Inevitably their mission was a failure, but with all of them miraculously surviving the ordeal despite the damages they took, Shikashu didn’t deem it as a personal failure. At least later on his didn’t, at the time he became rather depressed. The feeling of failure was immense at the time. They had nearly lost one of their own. Their leader was in critical condition, Inosuke lost an eye from the conflict, and Choukuro had garnered some new battle scars, as did he himself. Everything was just turning out to be one hell of a cluster fuck and Shikashu didn’t know at first what he should do.
It took several days and a stern discussion with his father, but eventually Shikashu realized what he needed to do. So he took some time away from missions and began to devout his time to research and study, as well as training. Shikashu went into researching the various elemental ninjutsu as well as looking into his own clan’s hiden ninjutsu. Over the process of the next several years and well into his early twenties, Shikashu began to experiment with and hone his skills until at long last at the age of twenty-three the male decided to partake in a test to become a Jōnin himself. It was at this time that he would display his newer skills. His ability to manipulate not only shadows, but water, earth, and wind to his will as well. This accompanied by his strength that he had always been known for made him a force to reckon. Shikashu easily passed the trials and ascended to the rank of Jōnin.
At the rank of Jōnin, Shikashu began to partake in much more dangerous missions, often doing them solo. He started to make it a point to make sure he utilized stealth to the best of his ability and as such he ceased carrying on him any visible objects that could possibly glimmer if the light caught it. This resulted in him ceasing to carry his Hitai-ate while on missions. Not only did this help enhance his stealth, but if he were to be caught, no one would be able to discern what village he would hail from. The theory was all but flawless.
Well it’s needless to say; Shikashu took on a great many missions in his three years as Jōnin. He had a great many successes and a great many more failures, and all of them were a great many learning experience. However in more recent times, Shikashu has decided it is about time to pass on his knowledge to the next generation. He has stopped leaving on missions as often as he used to and now spends most of his free time wandering around the village and hanging out around the academy where he can help where he’s needed and tell his various accounts of adventures to the kids.

SPECIAL ABILITIES
Superior Intelligence
Like most from his father's clan, the Nara, Shikashu possesses an intelligence like no other. He is capable of quickly analyzing situations and devising strategies while in the middle of active combat. While it was once said that one of his ancestors was once capable of thinking 200 moves ahead, Shikashu was once rumored to have been capable of devising over 100 different possible strategies at once, whether he picks the best one or not though, doesn't always seem to work out.
Incredible Longevity
Due the to inheritance he received from his mother, a descendant of the clan Uzumaki, Shikashu has an incredible life force. He is capable of continuing his work as a shinobi after taking a hit that would cripple most men. He is capable of surviving a hit that would kill the ordinary man. Furthermore, he even heals more swiftly than the average man, if only by a minor margin.
Insane Strength
For as long as Shikashu can remember he has always focused on keeping his body in peak condition. Having always viewed Taijutsu as the most important art of all, because what else can you rely on in situations where you can't weave hand seals, Shikashu has always focused on strength and endurance training. So naturally over the years Shikashu has managed to increase his strength to the point where his raw strength alone is more than strong enough to shatter earth.
Ridiculous Speed
As a result of Shikashu's harsh training regime Shikashu's raw speed is so ridiculous that if he goes from stationary to attempting to move as fast as he can, the pure initial push off of the ground for him to get going so fast causes the ground to shatter beneath his feet. Doing this does cause quite the strain on his body though and often forces him to rest for extended periods of time.

Shush I spell sensei how I want to spel.... oh look the second e committed seppuku because you insulted it WAY TO GO YUU.
As for the flip-flopping between eight and nine, it is stated that he didn't do anything to join the academy until he was nine. Meaning something had to happen when he was nine or close enough to being nine hence the "eight, almost nine,". Almost nine would likely indicate that the event would have been weeks before his birthday or something of the sort.
Was he inebriated?
I don't know, possibly, I forgot to even add it to the history, whoops.
Dem scary Nara women.
His mom is Uzumaki?
