After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Naoko was ready for some action today. She was glad to finally find someone that was near her level of awesome to spar and train with. But of course not that many people where as awesome as herself. In fact hardly anyone was. She was just that good. She was just that great. She was Naoko of the Kaguya clan. She was supposed to be strong, powerful, great, awesome, and godly even. It was her quest to be the survivor of the fittest. Number one baby! That was her all time goal and overall mindset. It was also her way of life. She felt like being number one and the best of the best was her only purpose in life and what gave her existence meaning. Naoko just had to have some meaning. It is how she made it through the day. Especially when she was now forced to rely on herself without any family help.
Naoko was already at the training grounds. She was dressed in her mission clothes. A green hoodie that revealed her arms, and stomach, black shorts that stopped at her knees, black ninja sandals with green soles, white bandages cover her arms, hands, and lower legs. She had her arrows, bow, and other archery equipment sitting next to her as she sat crossed legged, eating a couple of riceballs with seaweed, and filled with shrimp and crab. She never did training without eating a large meal. And she had about four more of her tasty little meals. She was keeping track and aware of her surroundings just in case he tried a sneak attack.
She was going to have help with her archery as her brother never got to finish teaching her. He went after his stupid brother that went rogue. While munching on her second to last riceball, she muttered to herself "Shouldn't he know not to keep a star like me waiting? Where is he?!" then took the last bite, finishing it.
“Medicy things,” indeed. Yuu didn't care for lying, but he knew if he sent Okami off to take Chi around, it would keep them both off of his back long enough to spend time with this genin he'd come across recently. She was an archer and had heard of him through the grapevine. There weren't too many archer shinobi, so Yuu readily agreed to see what she was all about. Now if only those two hadn't made him run late...
“Sorry I'm late,” Yuu called when she came into sight at the training ground. “Got tied up this morning.”
The medic dropped his bag at a post, slipping the long recurve bow from his quiver. Target practice was fun. He wanted to see what this girl could do. Just needed a target, and that's why he'd had her meet in this area. A lot of people practiced kunai and shuriken accuracy; that made it pretty decent for shooting. Just gotta get far enough away for it to be any sort of challenge.
“How much range do you have?”
Of course this question wasn't about how far she could shoot, but instead pertained to how far she could shoot accurately.
