CHARACTERISTICS

Fox Like Appearence

All clan members have fox ears and from one to nine tails and have sharpened canines. Some members have also been known for having resistant nails, almost claw like. Much like a fox, they can pick up sounds easily with their ears and also rely on their tails for balance. Their eyes have slited iris’, much like foxes too. For a Tama the tails are a sign of maturity and as they age they will definitively get more tails. All members are born with one tail and after their ten year mark they will start growing their other tails. Usually this tail growth stops when they hit their ninth tail, sometime between their mid to late twenties, marking their full adulthood.

Hoshi no Tama

Once a member of this clan discovers they are bearing child, the mother is entrusted with a trinket of sorts, can be anything from a bracelet to a necklace to even a ring or earring. This item is gifted to the newborn once its born and its kept in their person for the next following ten years. What this does is that it tunes specifically to the users personal chakra signature with time, the same being stored in the gem of said item, which means its far from fancy, it can just look like a clear piece of quartz dangling off a string. On their tenth birthday the stone is usually collected by one of the clan's craftsmen and along side this the wielder makes their choice. This is the Clan's gift to its member at this age, as the trinket becomes the core part of the wielders Hoshi no Tama as their weapon of select choice. This is the weapon style they will master until the day they die. It’s almost seen like their best friend and losing it has been known to cause the wielder some sort of grief. Losing their Hoshi no Tama or having it stolen will result in Tsuton to become unavailable for use. (Every Tama Clan member has at least the trinket, its mandatory)

BACKGROUND

The Tama clan was originally formed for the sole convenience of a group of people whom, after developing fox like characteristics were outcast of their communities for the simple fact people insisted that their members were omens of the nine tailed fox Kurama.

It started with one person with a tail, and another with ears. While the real reason was unknown to anybody, the fact was that those with the traits had been tested on in their youngest of years before left in multiple locations as orphaned children. The real perpetrator has long disappeared without a trace

Initially the clan was more of a legality thing, formed out of necessity and acceptance soon became more than just that. The second generation of their users became known for having an unique affinity for Katon and the third generation developed another sign, sign of what became the clans Kekkei Genkai. Another three generations passed as the clan worked mostly as mercenaries and wandering entertainers until around thirty five years ago. The clan made it to Kumogakure and, in a time of need the Raikage at the time asked the clan for aid with the choice of offering them a place to settle down. The clan was put through the test and with time proved their worth.

The test was incredibly well made as the Raikage wanted to just see what the fox clan could do. So what did he do? He prepared a fake setting where the Tama clan had to be forced to act almost like ANBU on a mission. Their first task was to gather information about whatever what has happening in the location.

When information was given back, they were then asked to prove they were organized enough to take down the operation without killing a single person. A simple request no? Of course the ones playing the bad guys were told to put up a good defensive against those that were going to take them down.

The Tama moved at dawn and took down the entire operation, not taking a single casualty in the process on either sides before returning the Raikage and being told they had succeeded in their test.

Since then they settled down in the village, mostly working as teachers, anbu, artisans and entertainers and slowly but surely becoming accepted into the community.

LEGACY OF POWER

Tsuton|Star Style

A wielder of Tsuton is granted a select number of perks thanks to the specifics. For one, each and every single one of the Tamas are, to the core Katon nature users, without a single exception, or else they cannot, I repeat... CAN NOT USE THE STYLE. That said Tsuton is known for having a deep bright blue flame and it allows for a different use of both Tsuton and Katon. When someone has their hoshi no tama they have full access to their abilities and the power to shift regular katon from red to blue at will. Tsuton is also known for differing from damage depending on the users state of emotions at the present time of use. If a tsuton user is using bright white fire however, well whoever their against of will certainly feel the burn. It goes red as the weakest, then orange, blue and then white.

Tsuton: Shukufuku Hoshi [Star Style: Stars Blessing]

The most basic of the Tsuton range of Techniques. Developed by the prior leader of the clan, it was invented to let the younger members have something that shows that they are part of the clan. It’s a simple ability that lets one infuse their Hoshi no Tama weapon with their innate Tsuton chakra and coat it in blue fire. It is meant to do damage to anybody who comes in contact with the weapon. The damage dealt by the flames is correlated to the users feelings towards the opponent.

Tsuton: Chōshinsei [Star Style: Supernova]

This ability is only to be used as a last resort case and even so, amongst the Tama clan members, only the leader knows it and only they have the permission to teach it. That said this ability is at its best a risky one. Each and every single hoshi-no-tama is composed by a core, usually the core being a special little gem of sorts linked to the user's singular chakra nature. That said in the case one has had their hoshi no tama taken from them and do not want to give their foe the pleasure of finding out what exactly makes their abilities special. The user focuses on the mental image of their hoshi no tama and in the process cause the chakra signature inside it to grow volatile and explode. While this might originally create a medium ranged explosion, the higher rank the user is the stronger and larger the explosion will be. The core turns into a flame and returns to its owner wherever they might be at and form into a brand new core. The core loses the users chakra signature in the process and needs to be attuned to their chakra once more. Progress on this may vary on the users rank and abilities.

SPECIAL NOTE: This technique is limited to the clan's leader and to those they chose to teach it to. This means it can only be learned icly and with permission of the leader. And even then its not to be taken likely, because using this ability means one needs to redo the progress for the hoshi-no-tama icly as well and get  a brand new weapon from the specialized Tama blacksmiths

Tsuton: Sanbi kaen [Star Style: Exalted Flame]

The user requires to know the basics of the tsuton abilities to be able of preforming this ability. That said they must focus their chakra into their hoshi no tama and after a while their weapon will start shooting out flame projectiles one after the other in consecutive order, one by one until they have this ability interrupted.

Tsuton: Kitsune Mitama [Star Style: Fox Spirit]
C || Ninjutsu || Katon/Tsuton || Short to Medium Range|| Offensive/Supplementary

The first ability that the clan developed. It summons up three smaller balls of fire that float around the user. These balls are controlled by the user and they can be used to light up an area of sorts around the user of they can send it flying towards certain directions to light up the areas or attack a target.

Tsuton: Hoshi no Aki [Star Style: Star Fall]
B || Ninjutsu || Katon/Tsuton || Medium to long || Offensive

The user focuses their chakra into their Hoshi no Tama before forming one large fiery mass on their hand. They then throw the mass up into the air before causing the same to explode into fifty projectiles of fire to rain down in the area. Its got a a radius of 25 meters to each side and the smaller flames seem to be enough to set weakened materials on fire such as old leaves and dried up grass.

Tsuton: Hoshi Tatchi [Star Style: Star Touch]

Made by those user of Tsuton that enjoy up close in your face combat, Hochi Tatchi lets the user channel their fire into their hands and ignite them ablaze. Its then used in situations of Taijutsu to offer them the ability to burn someone while fighting up close.

Tsuton: Tsukiyo-sai [Star Style: Moonlit Festival]
B-Rank || Genjutsu || Tsuton || Range Varies || Offensive/Supplementary

A rare form of genjustu developed with the specific intention  of fooling the enemy with dire consequences. The user must have good control over regular genjutsu to even be able of performing this ability and must, at all costs, have good control of their own innate Tsuton ablities. With that said, the user casts this genjutsu when they have an opening but it will not trigger until their opponent gets too close to the user/attempts an attack. When that happens the genjutsu triggers and the user seemingly fades into a single floating flame, like a will-o-wisp like entity while the user uses the moment of surprise to catch their foe off guard. Can be seen as similar to the Substitution jutsu, yet more complex in its nature.

Tsuton: Hoshi no Jihi. [Star Style: Stars' Mercy]

The user focuses their chakra into their Hoshi no Tama and generates a blue flame that coats it. They will then toss that flame into the air where they can manipulate it to multiply before flinging the generated stars to their destinations where they then explode into a violent fiery blue typhoon that will dissipate after one post. This techniques causes all flammable materials within a ten foot blast radius of the stars to catch ablaze, and scorches the thing it directly hits easily capable of dealing third degree burns to a living target.

Tsuton: Honō Senrei [Star Style: Flame Baptism]
A-Rank || Bukijutsu/Ninjutsu || Tsuton || Long Range|| Offensive

To use Honō Senrei one needs to know Sanbi kaen first. That said this ability multiplies the outburst of the projectiles the user shoots. Not only does it double the number of projectiles unleashed by Sanbi Kaen from one to two in a row but also the user focuses their chakra into some other weapon, weather it be a kunai, shuriken or even a simple senbon and uses this, along with their Hoshi no Tama to rain down a fiery hell upon their foes.

Tsuton: Nagareboshi [Start Style: Shooting Star]
A || Ninjutsu || Katon/Tsuton || Close to Medium || Offensive/supplementary

Using the same concept of Tsuton: Hoshi Tatchi, the user will cover their hands in the intense blue flames of the clans kekkei genkai and use the flames to allow them to, in lack of a better words, use the concentrated flames to fly across the sky at high speed velocities, usually at a faster speed than just running on the ground.

Tsuton: Kodama Sakebi [Star Style: Cry of the Fox's Spirit]
S || Ninjutsu || Katon/Tsuton || Very long || Offensive

The user focuses their chakra into their Hoshi no Tama and generate a blue flame that coats it. They continue to focus their chakra into the Hoshi no Tama and make the flame grow in size until its plume grows large enough so the highest lick of flame reaches a full five story in height. The user then manipulates the flame from their Hoshi no Tama to lash out at a desired target. The flame bursts to life in the shape of a large fox spirit which reaches the height of about three stories and rushes at the target. The fox spirit's tail(s), however remain connected to the user's Hoshi no Tama allowing them to continue to manipulate the spirit to attack multiple targets. The spirit is easily capable of causing third degree burns and setting any flammable materials within twenty five feet on fire. If it is cut, it halves in size but multiplies in number each time.
