After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
"Lots of people have their own nindo, their own Ninja Way. But I can't see mine. I can't tell what my Nindo is, and my future is not so cut and dry to fulfill it - but so be it. All I want is to live by no such code, and to achieve what I can with what I have. That is my Ninja Way. My nindo."
Hiroshi Eiji

Chakra Manipulations: Wind Release - Fūton || Fire Release - Katon
Appearance
Eiji has a typical, lean build for a teenager of his age. His sun-tanned body stands at just over five-feet and five inches, and he weighs about one-hundred and fourteen pounds. He is not a muscle-builder, but due to his constant physical activity, his muscles are very well defined for his size. His hair is a short, somewhat curly black, and his eyes are a deep hazel color. Eiji's face is very angular, and some would say that it is very young in many aspects.
When it comes to clothing, Eiji seems to have taken the typical shinobi approach with personal flairs thrown about. Much of his body is covered to protect him from the sun, in colors such as dark brown, black, beige, or grey. He also wears a lot of loose cloth, most of which is just for aesthetic effect. He dons standard-issue black shinobi sandals and some leg-wrappings, as well as keeps his holster on his right thigh, as he is right-handed. To generalize, his outfit is very loose and allows for comfortable, easy movement as well as protection from the desert climate. His headband is worn as a piece of cloth wrapped around his head, which drapes the sides and back of his head.
What does your character look like? Use details and shit, yo. Talk about unique markings, general style choices, favorite colors, all that good stuff.
Personality
Eiji is a very distinct person. He is bold and open-minded, obedient and kind. It isn't Eiji's goal to be better than anyone else, because he sees everyone's progression as solely their own, and not something to be judged upon by others. This deep-rooted sense of individualization is a result of constantly being related to his father in terms of technical skill, which was something very hard for a younger Eiji to handle. In fact, Eiji's conversion from a child to a pre-teen was a very large one. While he used to be a very emotionally hurt, troubled child, he has turned himself into something more. Where he was once shy, he is now well-spoken and confident. This is not in small part to his training, which Eiji is very proud of. In fact, Ninjutsu and being a shinobi have become very important aspects of Eiji's life not just as a career choice but as a legacy.
Eiji is very much anti-tradition. He likes to see new ideas and he likes to see what people do to make older customs their own. Because of this, Eiji is a very resourceful person who never truly plays 'by the book', but he is not a cheat, or an unfair person. Honor and respect are very important to Eiji, but he does not believe in an 'honorable death'. To Eiji, death simply marks where your legacy begins, and where your progression stops. He views life as a race to see how far one can get before they die, and he aims to go as far as his legs will carry him.
Eiji is a hard-worker who really focuses on doing a good job, and because of that, he doesn't tolerate people who slack off or act lazy. This makes him come off as something of a tight-ass. But he is not against having fun, and when the time calls for it, Eiji tries to be the life of the party. Even so, he is not quite as confident as he could be. Sometimes he speaks a little too softly or blends a little too well into a crowd, but he dislikes these feelings. He is very much aware of how to recognize them and actively tries to increase his self-esteem, typically through more training.
Nothing makes Eiji happier than mastering something. He hasn't exactly become the master of anything yet, but simply learning techniques and forms and styles really excites him. Although Noko's training sessions are very taxing, Eiji legitimately enjoys and gets excited about them. What if today he masters manipulating his chakra? And if it doesn't happen, oh well, it'll probably happen next time! He can seem a little naive in this respect, but that's fine, as it gives him something to truly be happy about.
All in all, Eiji is building up a good reputation with the people in Suna he manages to help, and always strives to do his absolute best. He doesn't work under the same method as someone else, and always tries to pave his own path, no matter what.
History
Gintosu Hiroshi was once a very proud, powerful Shinobi. His name was known throughout the world as a very brave warrior, a loyal comrade, and one of Sunagakure's greatest assets. And so, when it was announced that he was going to have a child, many watched very carefully. Hiroshi's greatest achievements were in part capable through the family's sacred Jinton-Release, which only very few of the clan have managed to master. Running back into the village's ancient history, the release was only the stuff of legend - until Gintosu brought the legend to life. All eyes were upon them as Eiji was born into this world, and his destiny brought upon him from that very moment.
Many would think that the family lived a very lavish lifestyle, and they did - there were in the upper echelons of Sunagakure's wealthy families, and as a result, most of Eiji's early years were very cozy. He was pampered and, especially by outsiders, treated as royalty. But he wasn't. With his mother staying home to raise him, they were supported entirely on Gintosu's salary, which was hefty, but very much dependent on successfully completing missions. So when Eiji was barely two years old, their world collapsed with Gintosu's leg during a very dangerous out-of-country mission. When he returned, he was told that he could not return to the field. To keep him afloat, the village paid him a monthly salary, but it was nothing like the money he had once gotten into. Crippled for the rest of his life, eventually the village cared not for the Hiroshi family's mystical Jinton, and the family fell into financial slump. They scraped by with barely what a common citizen earned, and so Eiji was the family's last hope. When he was old enough, his parents enrolled him into the ninja academy.
Eiji was about seven years old when his father's condition worsened. Due to the severity of his injury, an infection took both of Gintosu's legs. A broken image of what he once was, standing over his father's hospital bed (which had a bill larger than anything they could bare to afford) was a very emotional experience for Eiji. His father became less confident, and everything Eiji had heard about his father came into question. He began to focus less on his shinobi training, and slacked off whenever he could get away with it. Eiji was constantly compared to his father, but because of his low results and bad performance, he was always berated more harshly than the other students. And still, the only place Eiji felt truly at home was by his father's side, sometimes sitting there day and night. His mother avoided all thought and mention of his father's condition with an extreme case of denial, and eventually her emotional state came into question. She was abusive to Eiji, refusing to feed him when he brought his father up or giving overly harsh punishments, such as beatings, for small mistakes. This left Eiji with only one person to turn to - his father.
By now, when Eiji was about eight or nine, Gintosu was aware of how hard his reputation had fallen. But seeing his son heading down a horrible path as a result made him deeply angry, and so he referred Eiji to Noko, a village elder who was also Gintosu's Sensei for decades. Noko was a reclusive, eccentric old man who loved to recall his time as a very successful shinobi, and who instantly welcomed Eiji for the chance to relive the glory. Broken and alone, Noko helped Eiji see that there was meaning in his life, and that the way of the Shinobi was incredibly honorable. Eiji would sneak out of his house and make the long trek across the village to Noko's hut every day after classes ended to undergo his real training, just as his father had before him. Noko was a wise old man, albeit very strange, and was entrusted with the secrets of the Jinton release by Gintosu, who left ancient scrolls with him for safe-keeping. Gintosu practiced the art, but he would argue that none understood its mechanics as well as Noko did. So when Eiji was informed of what Noko was to teach, as per his father's request, he was very nervous. With little self confidence, he didn't truly believe that he was ready to undergo such training, and in a way, he was right. But Noko didn't hold back for Eiji. While he learned the Academy's techniques by day, gradually bringing his grades and performance level up with each passing day, he learned the secrets of advanced elemental control by night. His training was harsh, and it was apparent very early on that it would not be a simple task.
It had taken Eiji three years to simply awaken his Katon Release. While Fūton came to him first, Katon was a very bold, angry element that Eiji was not entirely used to. This did not make his job easier. Now, at age twelve, Eiji had graduated from the academy as a Genin, and excelled above his classmates in his Ninjutsu skills. His training was not complete, but now he had to start his journey as a real Shinobi. Eiji never had a spare moment over the course of the next two years, which he had spent harnessing the chakra of fire. Fūton training was simple to Eiji, because it was straightforward - but with Katon, Noko went to extreme lengths to make sure that it came as naturally to him as Fūton. They often spent days on end in the middle of the desert at noon, exposed to the deadly heat of the Suna Sun as they trained, making each session even harder than the last. At this point, Fūton was a cake-walk to Eiji. He could almost feel the chakra within him as a roiling storm, and he simply had to move it. Fire started out as a sudden spark, and then erupted as a great volcano. Eiji's problem was not learning to create the fire-based ninjutsu, but harnessing it. He would often generate incredibly chakra-consuming bursts of fire that would tire him out almost instantly, which, in the desert, was very hard to handle. But because of Noko's insistence, and Eiji's own determination, he managed to hammer the dragon into place, somewhat.
Even to this day, at age fourteen, Katon is a bit of a tricky thing with Eiji. He had admittedly spent more time honing his Katon element than his Fūton, but it still simply did not feel as natural. Eiji is prone to hiccups in his Katon-jutsu, but as time goes on, these imperfections are sure to be ironed smooth. At fourteen, it had been approximately three years since his father's tragic death, which sent his mother into an extreme panic. Eiji was sad at the loss of his father, but he did not feel hopeless. Instead, he saw his father's death as a way to propel himself forward, carrying the name of Hiroshi proudly on his chest for the world to see. But he would make his own name, not polish the name of his father. Eiji doesn't contact his mother anymore. Noko had bought him a small apartment close-by after he graduated, where Eiji currently resides. His training with Noko is far from over, but it is clear that Eiji needs to find a new sensei to carry him forward.
Whatever awaits him on his road to becoming a legend, Eiji is ready to face it with open arms.
Combat Stats
Paths of the Shinobi:
Primary: Path of the Soul
Secondary: Path of the Body
Weakest: Path of the Mind
Equipment:
Typically carries standard shinobi gear, shuriken (x15) and Kunai knives (x5), along with explosive tags (x3) and durable ninja wire (Approx. 10 yards). Has also been known to carry smoke pellets, but no more than about three at a time.
Special Abilities:
i. Kekkei Genkai: Jinton Release: Born of special blood, Eiji has the natural power to convert Katon, Fūton, and Doton elemental chakras into the Jinton, or Dust, release. Such a feat is incredibly hard to learn and utilize, and therefore Eiji must hone his skills before being able to freely utilize this power.
ii. Expertise Training: Elemental Ninjutsu: Eiji has spent and focused most of his time training into building his Elemental Ninjutsu skills. Because of this, Eiji seems to have an edge over other elemental ninjutsu users, and can typically overwhelm them if faced on the same level. Elemental Ninjutsu come naturally to Eiji, and therefore are less taxing and require less concentration from him to correctly utilize.

Other than the icons, you'd need to put how many items there are in the equipment section, example being kunai x 10, shuriken x 05, ninja wire x 10yrds, or something like that, and remove the element you dont have jutsu for from the manipulation section other than that it looks good, see you in suna soon.
Fixed the app. I do plan on using an original drawing for him, which is the reason why I don't have any icons, if that's alright. If not, I'll find a normal face-claim.
I don't object to personal artwork, but I'm afraid that the icon's are a requirement, seeing as everybody else has used them so far. Other than that you're good. You could use a regular fc until it's finished and veto to change it later. Or simply wait, your choice.
