After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Characteristics
The Nara clan is one shrouded in mystery to those who exist outside of Konohagakure. Rumors of the clan vary from a group of specialized ninjutsu geniuses who live in the shadows to overplayed lazy individuals with no special talents whose reputation is the result of a fluke. In reality, the clan is closer to the first rumor. Characterized by black hair, sharp eyes and staggering intelligence, the Nara clan is one of the oldest clans within Konohagakure. They are known for being the village’s top tacticians while also being well versed in medicine. The clan’s intelligence is their true kekkei genkai, and this trait has led them to develop in areas deemed useful by their clan leaders. Their fighting style reflects their cerebral nature, relying more on the strategic placement of shadows over brute force. The Nara clan is where geniuses are born and fierce women are preferred.
background
The Nara clan’s origins are fairly unknown. The family has done a good job of keeping their origins and past close to their chests. All that is known is that the clan appeared not long after Konohagakure’s founding. They appeared out of a mysterious forest, and they joined the alliance of clans that made up the village. Over time, the forest they seemed to have dominion over became known as the Nara Forest. The clan allowed their medicines to be used by the new village in return for their forest’s protection. So, since the clan’s appearance within the village, they have been on good terms with the village. This is evident in their special relationship with the Akimichi, Yamanaka and Sarutobi clans.
The clan has proven themselves more than capable, serving as tacticians and medics during times of war. They have been shown to be just as fierce as other clans with the advent of their shadow jutsu, and the group as a whole has always been held in high esteem. However, in recent times, the clan has begun to withdraw itself from the village, returning to the older houses within the Nara forest that they had long ago abandoned for homes within the village. A tension seems to be growing in the air as the Nara clan rethinks the loyalty they hold to the village. After all, to a clan of geniuses, staying allies with a village seemingly intent on repeating the past may be a foolish gesture. However, in regards to the strong bond the clan and village have formed, the Nara clan is still in good standings. Officially, they have returned to their forest compound to prepare medicines for war, should it come. The clan still sends children to be trained as shinobi, and those being trained, or working within Konohagakure as shinobi stay in the now mostly empty homes of the clan within the village.
legacy of power
The Nara clan’s true kekkei genkai is that of higher intelligence and fierceness. This family trait has been adapted to develop new Jutsu and medicines. The family’s trademark jutsu is one which controls shadows. These jutsus can also enable them to control their opponents through their shadows. The advent of this technique is what has led to the clan being feared throughout the land. The Nara clan is also known for being skillful and merciless tactician. To add to this, they can also be thanked for the advent of many modern medicines they have created from ingredients found within their forest. Due to the intricate nature of their jutsu, the clan's shadow techniques are considered to be aligned to the Path of Mind rather than the Path of Soul.

KAGEYOSE NO JUTSU [SHADOW GATHERING TECHNIQUE] D || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || SUPPLMENTARY
This is a ninjutsu using materialized shadows, but compared to the Shadow Sewing Technique from the same line, this technique is much smaller and lacks the strength to pierce opponents. Instead, this technique focuses on the control of shadows. It is accurate enough to even make the tentacles go through tiny holes. Basically, this technique takes the user's own shadow and transforms and stretches it into countless thin tentacles, which are then used to grab objects and pull them in. This technique has many possible applications and uses. There are no hand seals used for this technique. Due to the thinness of the shadows, the technique does not have a major chakra cost like more advanced tendril techniques. However, as such, only lightweight items may be grabbed. As such, this is a popular jutsu for Nara genin to use in order to prepare themselves for more advanced techniques.
KAGEMANE NO JUTSU [SHADOW IMITATION TECHNIQUE] C || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || SUPPLEMENTARY
The Shadow Imitation Technique allows the user to extend their shadow on any surface (even water) and as far as they want as long as there is a sufficient area. Once it comes into contact with a target's shadow, the two merge and the target is forced to imitate the user's movements. If the target is out of range, the user can produce a better light source to increase their shadow's size or rely on pre-existing shadows for their shadow to freely travel through.
It's also possible to split one's shadow, either to trap more opponents at once, or to create a distraction. The shadow can also be attached to people without binding them, letting the "victim" move freely. Doing that has the purpose that the person, the shadow was attached to, makes contact with a third person, to bind the latter one with the shadow. The major downside of the Shadow Imitation is that it is tiring to use repeatedly; the ability is subject to some form of diminishing return and decreases in potency after repeated use.
KAGEBATSU[SHADOW ATTACK] C || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDENT ON SHADOWS || OFFENSIVE
A juvenile version of the shadow sewing technique, this jutsu allows the user to send their shadow out in a similar fashion. However the attack is similar to a well-placed punch rather than the piercing nature of the shadow sewing technique. Only one can be formed at a time.
KAGE-KUBIHSIBARI NO JUTSU [SHADOW-NECK BINDING TECHNIQUE] B || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || OFFENSIVE
A technique developed from the Nara clan's hiden Shadow Imitation Technique with combat in mind. It is possible to inflict direct damage to the enemy by transforming and moving shadows endowed with physical power. It is possible to attack body parts like fingers and such by turning the shadow slender and to bind the opponent's body in order to restrain them. It was given its name because, above all else, strangulation is the most efficient method. The smaller the distance to the target, the greater the power of the shadow. This technique cannot be used for an extended period of time, as it weakens with each passing minute.
KAGEZUKAMI NO JUTSU[SHADOW CLUTCH TECHNIQUE] B || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || SUPPLEMENTARY
The user materialises and extends their shadow along a surface, before merging it with that of the intended target, allowing them to grab hold of and manipulate the object in question as they desire almost as if it were an extension of themselves, regardless of weight. Unlike with the Shadow Imitation Technique, though the two shadows are connected, the target is not forced to copy the user's movements, allowing the user to retain their own range of motion. This technique can also be used on inanimate objects.
KAGEBATSU-RENDA [SHADOW ATTACK BARRAGE] B || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || OFFENSIVE
An advanced form of Shadow Attack, this technique allows for multiple arms to be used in punch like attacks using their shadows. While the striking power is greater than its predecessor, the technique is similar to being punched with knuckles. As such, it lacks the piercing power of the shadow sewing technique.
KAGE NUI NO JUTSU [SHADOW SEWING TECHNIQUE] A || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOW || OFFENSIVE, SUPPLEMENTARY
This is a ninjutsu from among the Nara clan's secret techniques that uses materialized shadows to attack and bind, instead of merely immobilizing and controlling like the Shadow Imitation Technique. The user changes the shape of their shadow into several sharp needles and controls each separately. They can then attack several targets simultaneously and at the same time snatch away their ability to move by sewing them stuck with the shadow threads. Because it is a physical attack, it is impossible to capture someone without harming them, but on the other hand, since the speed of invocation and the time of duration are excellent, it can be used when urgent restraint is required. This technique is usually used to go through the target and capture them, but depending on the opponent, it can also be used as an attack to bring them down. This special characteristic finds its greatest effect when used as logistical support. After this technique hits someone, it can then be directly transformed back into the Shadow Imitation Technique.
KURO HIGANBANA [BLACK SPIDER LILY] A || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDANT ON SHADOWS || OFFENSIVE, SUPPLEMENTARY
The user stretches their shadow out into various needle like tendrils and attempts to strike out at multiple opponent. Once they hit, the tendrils sew into the victim’s flesh. The user can then manipulate the shadow to bring them closer to themselves with a forceful pull, threading it’s victims together similar to several bloody Cloths.
KAGEMANE SHURIKEN NO JUTSU [SHADOW IMITATION SHURIKEN TECHNIQUE] A || NINJUTSU || ELEMENT || RANGE || USE
By infusing the blades with the user’s own chakra beforehand, they are given the effect of the Nara clan’s shadow techniques. By using these weapons to pierce the enemies' shadows, they are paralyzed in place. Since it is more difficult for the enemy to notice it, this ninjutsu compensates for the weak point of the similar Shadow Imitation Technique, being its limited effective range. It can be disrupted simply by the removal of the blade or by the disappearance of the opponent's shadow. Despite the technique’s name, any weapon can be used.

KAGE NARAKU NO JUTSU [SHADOW HELL TECHNIQUE] C-RANK || GENJUTSU || SHADOW || DEPENDS ON SHADOWS || OFFENSIVE
This genjutsu can only be used on someone caught in Kagemane no Jutsu. The target is filled with the sensation of being pulled down into their shadow and falling through darkness for a short time, the end effect being moderate disorientation.
KAGEKIRI NO JUTSU [SHADOW AUGER TECHNIQUE] A-RANK || NINJUTSU || SHADOW || SHORT || OFFENSIVE
A modification to Kage Nui no Jutsu, the Kagekiri no Jutsu instead rapidly spins a sharp shadow tendril around the users hand and forearm. This effectively makes the users limb a spinning drill bit making even light strikes extremely dangerous.
KAGETAKASHIO NO JUTSU [SHADOW STORM TECHNIQUE]] A-RANK || NINJUTSU|| SHADOW || PERSONAL || DEFENSIVE
A modification to Kage Nui no Jutsu similar to Kagekiri, the user spins their own shadow into tendrils around their self in order to block an incoming attack. The main use of this technique is to repel a Taijutsu based attack. In order to use this jutsu the user must be touching a solid surface.
