After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Kagerou stands at five foot eleven and one-hundred and seventy-three pounds. His shaggy ginger hair is generally trimmed around his face, although sometimes he lets it get too long before a haircut, and it goes upward at the back of his neck. He keeps a short, trim beard on his chin. Bright, emerald green eyes are hidden behind dark oval lenses. His complexion is fair with a faint freckling around the shoulders. In his ears he wears small silver-hooped earrings. His skin, torso especially, is pockmarked from a lifetime of kikaichu beetles entering and exiting his flesh at will.
Rou generally wears dark clothing trimmed in maroon. He favors a high, open-collared longcoat that he usually rolls the sleeves of. Pinned to the left shoulder of the coat is his Konoha headband. Underneath the coat he wears a black tee, and he wears grey pants. On his hands are black fingerless gloves. He wears black, flexible boots to cope with the odd terrain of any country. When leaving on missions, Rou carries a large calabash gourd on his back, filled with kikachu.
Personality
Kagerou is a rather warm and friendly individual. He's a bit standoffish with strangers but warms up to them easily enough if they seem alright. He has a particular fondness for children, having always wanted to teach and wanting a family of his own. However he's rather awkward in public when meeting new people socially, not quite sure of the right things to say. However, he's not above playing small pranks and being rather snarky to people he does know.
Rou has somewhat admirable patience, and is rather slow to anger. He tries not to let himself fall to it, keeping calm and collected and assessing the situation before making the next move. He's not very intimidating, but if he does get angry, he'll use all the tools at his disposal to make you wish you had not made him so. If he gets overwhelmed, he may panic and ruin his judgment, sometimes taking flight to recollect himself. Thankfully, that is not a thing that occurs often, unless you count social interactions.
When fighting, or in a situation he deems it necessary, he discreetly plants a female insect on the opponent early on. With the small size of the kikaichu beetle, it's difficult to notice a single one, but for the males of the species, they can smell the pheromones of that single female from miles away. He'll also scatter them around the area so that he's prepared for whatever may come.
Rou prefers close-combat but can just as easily switch to ninjutsu. He favors fighting with short blades, such as kunai, in his hand, but his throwing aim is sub-par. He practices hitting targets when he's training, yet somehow never seems to get any better at it. He has an all-around knowledge of fighting skills, including swordsmanship, and keeps a katana sealed in a scroll he uses for extra weapons. Because of this he doesn't necessarily specialize in anything, merely has personal preferences, knowing how to handle but by no means a master at anything. Even when fighting close-combat, he takes advantage of his kikaichu
He's rather cryptic at times but is usually honest. Rather than being able to smoothly lie to people whom he cares about, he tends to avoid the topic entirely when possible, or at least try to. Sometimes his honesty can get him into trouble. He likes to offer a helping hand to those who seem to need a little help, but this is not to say he is trusting of people. He's rather intelligent but sometimes he can be lost even so. He enjoys reading, and spending time with his runty ninneko, Puffs. She serves little more than a pet, often used for parlor tricks to amuse guests. She often accompanies him when he's out and about, whether he wants her to or not. Naturally, he has quite the interest in both insects and arachnids, and likes to stop and observe if he sees something particularly interesting.
History
Aburame Kagerou was born at the beginning of spring to two easy-going parents. His father, Aburame Jin, was the shinobi of the house, often gone for weeks on missions. His mother, Aburame Muraki, was a villager who had married into an unusual shinobi clan. Kagerou's name derived from a red dragonfly attracted to his father on the day of Kagerou's birth, where it shimmered and danced around the newborn. Muraki considered it a blessing and named the child after the creature.
Growing up, Kagerou began to show signs that he was not conforming to the “Aburame” stereotype. He'd inherited his mother's personality on top of his father's calmness, and was known to play pranks on the other children. However, just like the other children, he had a fascination for insects, both his own and the ones that flitted around the compound. His most notable favorite would be his namesake, the delicate dragonfly. The top predator of the insect kingdom, the young Aburame set the dragonfly as his goal, and strove to become strong. Controlling his insects seemed to take most of his time, but he didn't mind, knowing that they would be an indispensable tool, as well as lifelong companions, in the future. By the time he was five, Rou could handle them efficiently (But by no means did that mean he was any better than the other children his age), and it was around that time that a small event would imprint the young child's mind.
While playing with a cousin and her ball, a loud barking and screeching could be heard from the other side of the fence. The girl with the ball paused to look at the direction of the sound, causing Rou to look as well. Suddenly, a grey blur came tearing over the wall, followed by a much larger brown blur. Kagerou recognized the animal as a cat (No one kept a cat in the compound), and he recognized the dog as one of the Inuzuka's. And the dog was gaining on the cat. Forgetting he was in a game, Kagerou tore after the dog, his slightly-too-large pair of sunglasses sliding down his nose. A chubby hand clumsily took control of his black beetles, and the dog got a painful blast of kikaichu in its face. The cat, of course, escaped, but its presence imprinted on young Rou's mind, and he became attracted to cats the way he was about insects.
It wasn't long after Kagerou's sixth birthday that he was enrolled into the Ninja Academy, the first step in becoming a fine ninja like his father. Stereotypically, the other students alienated him, understandably and completely creeped out by his clan's kikaichu. Determined to not fall into that sort of category, the child resorted to cheap practical jokes, using his beetles for humor, and to hopefully strip the label of “fear” from them. However, this did not detract from his studious nature, and Rou always earned above-average grades (but, by no means, was he the top of the class). The real fun began when the children were tested on their jutsus so the instructor knew how to go about teaching them. His peers fully expected him to primarily use insect jutsus, and they faces they had made when it was his turn discouraged him from focusing too hard on fighting with beetles. Instead, he turned to weaponry, proving to have a knack for fighting hand-to-hand, and with using bladed weapons. When worst came to worst, he could always use regular ninjutsu or his insects.
Outside of the academy, Rou's mother, Muraki, took advantage of her son's studious and obedient nature, enrolling him into different sorts of classes, merely on whim and amusement, as the time went on. Her particular favorite was ballroom dance, and, despite her son's protests, she had him attend classes for long-term. Vocal and cooking courses were also forced upon the child, though he found cooking to be rather enjoyable as the years went on. In the academy, he took up courses that trained him more in weaponry on the side, and he gained experience in handling different types of blades. He became rather skilled in the use of katanas and similar swords, but because of his preference to fight hand-to-hand, he most often used very short blades, most often normal kunais. As the years passed in the academy, Rou did manage to break the image his peers had on Aburame, and while other kids had fun hanging out with him, Rou never made any “true” friends.
The young Aburame, at thirteen, graduated with the rest of his class easily, assigned to the usual three-man squad. Team 14, comprising of Kyoukotsu Haeru, a kunoichi specialized in water jutsu and taijutsu, Youshuntai Fuguai and Taka, a member of a clan with hawk familiars and the team medic, as well as his hawk, and Kagerou himself. Even if he was easy to be around, he was awkward. Coupled with his heritage and insects, he almost seemed damn near unapproachable all over again. After all, the two in his squad had been from another class, so they didn't know him well to begin with. However, in the next year the teammates spent together, they became inseparable as friends, and had exemplary coordination on missions. When the three of them were fourteen, their Jōnin instructor took them to take the Chūnin exams.
The first test was simple. All they had to do was cheat and not get caught. The second task was more difficult. A trio of Mist-nin ambushed them for their Heaven scroll. The kunoichi on Rou’s team, Haeru, guarded the scroll while he and Fuguai, his other teammate, took on the enemy ninja. In the end, they had won, and taken the Mist shinobis’ Earth scroll, but Figaui had been incapacitated, so Rou had to carry him on his back the rest of the way to the tower. It would have been fine, had Fuguai not been the team medic, and had Haeru not led them through a patch stinging nettle. Luckily, after a rushed trip, and breaking free of a poorly laid trap, they made it to the tower, and the stinging itch was relieved.
The final tally of genin deemed a preliminary round unnecessary, and the teams moved directly into the third round. The day dragged on as genin paired off and battled eachother. Haeru was the first to get paired, it was an unfamiliar male Leaf genin. She had no problem dispatching the fellow, passing the round and getting a wave of congratulations from her teammates. Fuguai was next on their team to go up, and he was matched against a rather burly taijutsu user from Suna. Unfortunately for Fuguai, taijutsu was his weak point, fighting instead with medium- and long-range, as well as with his hawk, Taka. Unfortunately, his hawk was more effective against the opponent than Fuguai himself, but that was before Taka's wing broke. The Suna shinobi thrashed Fuguai, breaking a few bones and rendering him as unconscious as the bird. A team of medical ninja whisked the two away while his teammates looked on in worry.
It was a while later when Rou got matched against his opponent. It seemed she was a user of both water and lightning jutsus, uncommon for a genin of the Leaf, and had him outmatched by his weakness. He himself was getting good at use with fire jutsu. Haeru wished him luck when he descended to the arena, but it turned out that he didn't need it. From the familiar expression on her face, Kagerou could tell she was creeped out by him. Normally, that would hurt, but this time, it was completely in his favor. This kunoichi was terrified of insects. However, he saved that for last. May as well put to use all that practice they'd done instead of taking the easy way out. Closing in for a close-range battle, it drug out to mid-range using jutsus, as the kunoichi was avoiding contact like he was a plague. If he kept this up, he really would lose. Throwing an arm in her direction, he let a torrent of kikaichu at her direction, effectively freaking her out. Panicking, the kunoichi forfeited, giving Rou the win. For the whole of the next year, Fuguai teased Rou about his win after hearing about the matches from Haeru.
A couple years later, Haeru and Kagerou, having advanced to Chūnin long before their teammate (much to Fuguai's chagrin), got sent out on a B-Level mission to protect an important client and to deliver documents. The enemy they were hired to ward off were a band of five rogue ninja, using their ninjutsu illegally to live life as bandits. As luck would have it, midway into their journey, they were attacked by the enemy, forcing the two bodyguards to split up. Haeru protected the client and driver from two of the bandits while Rou dealt with the remaining three. The fought at about the same ranking level, leaving him to think that they weren't above Chūnin.
Hearing a sword being drawn and the clashing of metal, Rou turned around to see how Haeru fared, seeing one of the bandits with a sword. That moment of distraction cost him, and a kick to the head sent him flying back into the cart. Upon impact, the Aburame released his insects, swarming the air and the three he was against, Haeru should be able to take care of herself. Or so he thought. The rogue with the sword was barely being held back by Haeru's kunai, the other one rushing to attack the client. It all happened in an instant before he could even react; the blade slipped past the feeble kunai and slashed Haeru open from shoulder to opposite ribcage, the other man three a kunai-paper-bomb and blew the cart apart, the explosion going off next to the client's head and killing him. The driver dived away, surviving, with the charred documents. The men that Rou dispatched were carried off by the other two, leacing the state of confusion behind. Misson Status: Failure. Placing Haeru's body in a safe location, Rou took the remains of the client's body, along with the surviving driver, to the destination and completed the mission. On the way back, he carried Haeru's lifeless body on his back, taking his fallen comrade to her home. That would have been what she wanted.
Fuguai was not so forgiving. Having been in love with the blue-haired woman, he placed blame entirely on Kagerou, and didn't speak to him after the small funeral held for the girl. For lack of anything else to do, Kagerou accepted the blame and ignored his teammate from then on; it's not like Fuguai had been there to know what happened exactly. They were only eighteen; they would move on.
Afterward, Rou stopped attending the recreational classes, choosing to move out and live on his own in a small house at the edge of the clan compound. Around this same time, he got both ears pierced, which fit his personality better. He eventually got promoted to Jōnin after a few missions that went exceedingly well. It wasn't until after Rou was twenty that things got more interesting. While returning from a job that took him out to the Hidden Grass Village, he heard the pained cries of a small animal. Heading off the path and into the forest where the cries were coming from, Kagerou has his first encounter with the Sarutogu Kitsune.
Locating the source of the cries, Rou found a small creamy-blue fox caught in a hinge trap used for hunting. Struck by curiosity by the unusual blue fur and the stunted wings growing from its back, he went to help the poor creature from the trap. However, not two feet from rescuing the small animal, the frantic flapping of wings, claws scraping on the ground, and snarling could be heard. Withing a second of coming near the trapped animal and letting out a yelp of surprise, Kagerou found himself on the ground, teeth gnashing inches from his face, holding a wildly struggling rabid red fox in his hands. Kagerou couldn't help but notice wings sprouting from the back of this one, as well. While he was trying to quickly rationalize the situation and subdue the animal so he could get up, Rou realized that the snarls coming from the animal in his hands were words. The plaintive cries coming from the younger fox were getting worse, and Rou could see blood around the trap's teeth. Using all his strength, he flung the viscous animal into the air, where it righted itself to charge again. Most people would have up and fled at this point. After reasoning with the mad fox, Rou tried to free the young one. There was evidence of clawing around both the wound and the ground.
It didn't take much for Rou to stick a kunai between the steel teeth and pry it far enough apart to free the kit, but, after trying to placate the red fox, he bandaged the wound as well, offering any assistance. After all; these were not normal foxes. Other than the good feeling of doing a good deed, there might be something to be gained from helping these animals. And boy, was he right. Carrying Clox, as he found out the young one was called, and following Tanuki, he was eventually led to a clearing, most obviously a resting stop for migrating animals of all sizes. However, following Tanuki led him into dangerous territory; Rou found himself face-to-face with a giant maned wolf, a very large type of fox. But, this was beyond large. Putting Clox down, Rou found himself intimidated as the large foxc stood, towering above his head at seven feet. He learned that they were a summoning species, but hadn't been contracted to anyone due to the fact that they intimidated most humans.Completely understandable. This large fox, named Azatoi, was the “boss” of the clan. Two more foxes came into view, a large red female and an even larger, unarutally blue and orange male. Rou took an immediate liking to the blue, learning his name to be Amakakeru. The female was Shiraha.
After talking with Azatoi, they agreed to make a contract, though Rou hadn't been fully aware of -how- the seal would be placed. It certainly was frightening enough to make the man yell out when the massive animal lunged at him, latching high on his arm by the shoulder, ripping off the sleeve of his thick jacket and burning the flesh with a fox flame, burning a tattoo seal into Rou's shoulder. That, too, had to be bandaged for a few weeks. Rou chose Amakakeru to be his summon partner, and the two spent the next couple years getting closer and developing combination jutsu.
When Rou was 22, he discovered his “call” in life, so to speak. He found that he liked working with children very much after helping a young genin train after stumbling into him on coincidence. Never really aspiring to be anything more than a Jōnin to begin with, an instructor for genin teams seemed right up his alley. At the current time, though, there weren't any new genin, and various affairs kept him busy. Around the same time, Rou found another life companion; a tiny, almost-dead kitten abandoned near a bush. It really was a wonder that he noticed it, but he was glad he did. At first, he assumed the body to be dead, with how cold it was, and he couldn't feel it breathing. What he COULD feel, however, as a tiny, slow heartbeat under his fingertips, which led him to immediately work on the kitten's life, keeping her alive and taking her home.
Naming the cat “Puffs”, he bottle-fed the tiny animal, nursing her at all hours, always carrying her with him to be sure she was cared for properly. As such, she became irreversibly attached to him, following and attaching to him whenever he left the house. By the time she was eight or nine weeks old, Rou made a shocking discovery: He had a miniature ninja-cat on his hands. He never expected much from her, being so tiny and undergrown, but when he heard, instead of a meow, the word “kiki” pass her lips when chasing his beetles, he dropped the kitten-care book and stared. Afterward, he taught her many things, testing to see what she was capable of. High intelligence and an eagerness to learn, she developed a good vocabulary. Testing her chakra control and flexibility, he taught her to walk on water (which, as it turned out, she took to like a fish, preferring to swim about than walk on it), and how to maneuver and flip in the air with aid of toys and his bugs. Still, he never taught her too much; she was nothing more than a pet and Rou didn't want to put her into the types of dangers a ninja companion animal would have to go through. After all, by the time she was fully grown, she only weighed eight pounds.
After being 24, Rou became familiar with the mystery known as a “woman”. Violent, domineering, and had him wrapped around her finger, Kousei Yami was no lightweight of a kunoichi. She was also the first person he knew to push him down on the floor and make him down a bottle of sake. For the hell of it. She helped to teach him a little more about being “social”. At about the same time, he met a Grass kunoichi by the name of Ageha Karasu. Although several years younger, she held an authoritative power, and “adopted” him as a brother, and Rou got grouped with the flock of children Karasu had a tendency of picking up.
Some time later, Rou got appointed to be the Hokage's personal guard along with a few other shinobi. While it was in increase of rank and responsibilities, things weren't much different from before. Puffs, after a two-month gestation period, finally gave birth to four hybrid kittens, a full-blooded ninja cat as a mother and a normal stray for a father. One kitten was stillborn, but the other three remained healthy. When their age came, he gave one each to both Yami and Karasu, keeping the third to look for another home. That is, until, that happened.
As a shinobi, Kagerou had dealt with the death of comrades many times since Haeru's death, but when the news of Kousei Yami's suicide hit him, he took it hard. Death on the front lines was understandable; any job one takes as a ninja could, in worst-case scenario, result in death. But a suicide was different (not counting mission-related in order to protect your country), there wasn't a reason Kagerou could think of that would make Yami want to die. And he loved her. He could almost understand Fuguai from back then.
The emotional damage was hard on him. He went to the Hokage, explaining that he wasn't fit to take on this job, as the Hokage's personal guard. Luckily the Hokage was an understanding fellow. It was his last year in the office anyway; a new Hokage would be here soon. After a few weeks of poor dealing, Rou got an assignment that would change his life: He would be stationed in Kusagakure as a live-in ambassador. He would still get orders via hawks, but he would also be incorporated into the Kusa government as well. All in all, a lot of paperwork. And he was happy to oblige.
Rou left one of the kittens behind for the children of the village to care for. He knew it would be taken care of. Before leaving, the Hokage removed the seal he had placed on the back of Kagerou's neck, unlocking him from the cage he had been put in because of it. Given three days to prepare, Kagerou packed what he could of his home, and he set off. He would get Puffs spayed at the start of their journey.
During the journey to the Village Hidden in the Grass, Kagerou trained. He honed his skills further than he ever had, and he trained his pet to make use of her ability to manupulate chakra, and trained her how to protect herself. He gave her kikaichu insects that would live in her fur and protect her should she ever feel threatned by anything, like a personal security alarm. Puffs was no longer afraid of flying, as they had traveled on Ama's back plenty of times.
Upon arriving in the village, Rou set off to meet Karasu, an old friend he hadn't seen since he'd taken her for a flight on Ame's back. Taking her up on an offer from long ago, he and Puffs became nothing short of freeloaders at her home, helping watch all the kids about the house, cooking meals, and getting himself registered into the Kusagakure shinobi book. After getting some income, he helped pay for meals and anything else Karasu might need from him as compensation.
And in return, he burned her house down. It had been a shabby, too-small home for even her and the children let alone himself to be living there. It provided her with a reason to move out and find a better place, and he cleaned up his act and got his own place as well. A cheap, dirty apartment filled with cockroaches was a perfect home for an Aburame with a small budget. It was easy to coax the roaches to live in another apartment other than his, and he managed to clean it up very well. Life was going well. He was registering into the Kusa shinobi index as an official shinobi of both villages.
Of course, not long after that, Rou learned more about his history. A woman he had known, Ito Soyokaze, had bore him a son. But not only that, it had happened before he'd even met Yami. It had seemed that the village had sealed memories from a specific mission, where he had to be in another country for quite some time. The child was four years old by the time the memory seal was undone and he learned the truth. But the woman intimidated him. He didn't understand how he had “loved” her. But the fact remained, as his fuzzy memories told him, that he had, at one point. During the same period of time, he ran into a purple-haired kunoichi who was long thought to be dead. She too had a child. Here was a man with two children, but no family. Yami however chose to disappear, along with his daughter Reika, for a second time, but Ito and his son Eri would remain in his life. Or so he thought.
Close to Rou turning 25, he finally got what he had always wanted: A genin team. However as always, things didn't go as planned. The genin split apart. Mei didn't want to learn under him. A lot of times students didn't show up for meetings. Rou was miffed. Did they not believe in him as a teacher? Either way, the team fell apart. His first chance at rearing a team, failed. There might be other chances, he had speculated, but not for some time in the future.
But life was changing. Karasu had gotten a promotion. She left to work at the prison. Living there, and with the children grown and having their own lives, Kagerou was alone again. He'd come to understand that the long-felt infatuation he'd had for the girl was nothing more than a platonic love. His own indecisiveness and stubbornness had attested to nothing coming of it, and life needed to go on. Ito Soyokaze had disappeared as well. Rou hadn't seen his son in who knows how long.
But, he was determined to make this life in Kusa work. He had to. So he focused on integrating into the Kusagakure force. The village was much different than Konohagakure, and he certainly liked it more. Frankly, he had no intention of returning. He stopped responding to the orders from the hawks, and eventually wrote a letter back to the Hokage explaining that he wished to be affiliated with only Kusagakure. Naturally it was not a happy choice for the Hokage, and Kagerou was forced to return to discuss the matter face-to-face.
Kagerou being in Kusagakure kept Konoha in the Grass Village's good favors, as well as the reverse. He eventually held an argument strong enough. The Hidden Leaf Village was a stronger power than that of the Grass, and Kagerou knew how to better direct the Jōnin if the small village, bringing tricks with him to teach them. With Konoha and Kusa becoming allies, it was necessary to spread this basic knowledge.
Because of the help he gave, Rou eventually became the Jōnin Hanchou of Kusagakure. It was not the glorious life of a genin instructor or academy teacher he'd dreamt of, but it still had a ring to its title and he still was able to pass on knowledge he knew to others and guide them.

Special Abilities:
i. Kikaichu and Kidaichu: Kagerou possesses both the kikaichu and the kidaichu beetles. These beetles do his bidding in exchange for his chakra. He generally keeps the kidaichu in his gourd when he has it, for during battle if he has insufficient chakra, the kidai will turn to consuming flesh while the gourd has properties that disallow the beetles from chewing through it before he can send them to a more desirable source.
ii. Insect Tongue: Rou is capable of communicating with insects if they are very near his person and he focuses on them. Naturally, insects are not the best conversationalists, but they can convey the sights and sounds they are being asked to recall, as well as follow very basic commands that are asked of them, such as flying into someone's face, however they will normally leave after doing the task that is asked of them.
iii. Chakra Control: In order to use their insects accurately and masterfully, an Aburame needs superb chakra control, as these insects can wreak destruction upon even their own host if too much chakra is used. It is of the utmost importance not to waste chakra, so Rou must know just how much he needs to use to perform each jutsu in addition to keeping enough on reserve to keep his beetles satiated.
iv. Summoning Contract: Kagerou is contracted to the Sarutogu Kitsune, a breed of flying foxes that will do his bidding in a variety of ways.
You seem to have two paragraphs about fighting style and some stray <br> tags in the middle of your personality there. Might want to get those <br> tags treated. They're like crabs, but for coding. Anyway, other than that...
Few things I noticed that are quite.. how to say.. conflicting. I'll try to keep everything brief, but it might end up being a lot.
His personality has a few things conflicting off the bat. Specifically
Even if he is angry, he tries not to let it cloud his judgment
and then followed by
He's not generally intimidating, but if he does get angry, he'll use all the tools at his disposal to make you wish you had not made him so
Now, forgive me if I'm wrong.. but wouldn't someone who doesn't let anger cloud their judgement find something like like a bit beneath them?
Point number two really just bothered me xD. Hand-to-hand combat =/= Close Combat. Blades fall into close combat, but hand-to-hand is just that.. your own body as your weapon.
Number three moves onto his history. I know of no five year old that runs after a dog who's running after a cat to blast it in the face with bugs, as is suggested by this section.
...and it was around that time that a small event would imprint the young child's mind.
As for the rest of the history.. I don't know. It just seems so... Kakashi-ish. So bland and overdone. I'm not saying that it's in no means bad.. I just don't like it. It's not exciting x.x
Onto the Special Abilities!
We've got a small issue here, and I really can't see why no one else noticed it.
Kagerou is skilled in weapon combat in order to counteract his clan's reliance on insects.. except there's two issues.
1.) Path of the Body is your weakest path and 2.) You've not used a special ability to make him able to use said advanced weaponry.
NOTE: Shinobi with Path of the Body as their weakest Path cannot use advanced weaponry (e.g. swords) without using a special ability to gain proficiency.
So, yeah.. That's my ruling. Still got a lot of work to do on the profile, but for the most part things are coming along decently.
Forgive my seeming lack of enthusiasm. I haven't done a grading in quite some time x.x

He's not generally intimidating, but if he does get angry, he'll use all the tools at his disposal to make you wish you had not made him so
Now, forgive me if I'm wrong.. but wouldn't someone who doesn't let anger cloud their judgement find something like like a bit beneath them?
I have changed
He has somewhat admirable patience, and is rather slow to anger. Even if he is angry, he tries not to let it cloud his judgment, keeping calm and collected and assessing the situation before making the next move. He's not generally intimidating, but if he does get angry, he'll use all the tools at his disposal to make you wish you had not made him so. If he gets overwhelmed, he may panic and ruin his judgment, sometimes taking flight to recollect himself. Thankfully, that is not a thing that occurs often, unless you count social interactions.

Point number two really just bothered me xD. Hand-to-hand combat =/= Close Combat. Blades fall into close combat, but hand-to-hand is just that.. your own body as your weapon.
I have changed
Rou prefers hand-to-hand combat back can just as easily switch to ninjutsu. Because of this he doesn't necessarily specialize in anything, merely has personal preferences.

Even when fighting close-combat, he takes advantage of his kikaichu.
Reading through I realized I was unclear. XD
Forgetting he was in a game, Kagerou tore after the dog, his slightly-too-large pair of sunglasses sliding down his nose. A chubby hand clumsily took control of his black beetles, and the dog got a painful blast of kikaichu in its face.
In my mind the cat+dog were running somewhat in the direction of Kagerou that allowed him to do that, rather than him chasing the dog down and getting in front of it. I can change it if it still bothers you.
As for the rest of the history... I honestly never truly made the connection to Kakashi until you pointed it out. Kagerou was my very first OC ever, so perhaps his history isn't quite so original. Everything after
After being 24, Rou became familiar with the mystery known as a “woman”.
was essentially things that happened in-play, with me changing his reason for staying in Kusagakure.
I have interchanged body and mind, as mind =/= intelligence and he has no genjutsu or any other mind-related techniques. Hopefully with body being secondary instead of weakest that solves the conflict with his weapons.
