After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Species: Karasutengu Method of Summoning: Rather than using blood, a special potion must be poured on the ground where you intend to place the summoning seal. This potion will be given to the summoner by the head of tengus, and only that tengu can teach the summoner the recipe to create it so that they may replicate it and continue summoning the kotengu. The potion is used in place of the blood and the summoning is performed normally. The ingredients are difficult to locate.
Contract Signers:
Shokaki Daion [Delta]
contract residents
Juichi
Rank: D Elemental Manipulation: None.
Appearance:
As a crow, Juichi is a little on the small side, still possessing some dark brown feathers until the glossy black ones grow in. In his humanoid form, Juichi takes the appearance of a brown-haired child with yellow eyes, wearing stylized taoist robes and hat, carrying a shakujo.
Personality:
Despite his lively appearance, Juichi is a rather pallid creature, following orders. He doesn't speak much, and has a listless gaze that makes him seem he's always in a far-away place. Compared to normal children the same apparent age, he's unnatural, rather haunting in his silence and aura, although karasutengu age much more slowly than humans. However, he is still a child, and become animatedly distracted when something shiny comes into his field of vision. He is capable of ignoring it if the situation is important enough, but it will divide his attention depending on the object. Super-sparkling shiny things will hold the brunt of his focus.
Special Abilities:
SHAPESHIFTING
Juichi is capable of shapeshifting between humanoid and crow form. Like all tengu, no matter how human-like he may choose to look, he can never hide the black wings on his back.
EAGLE EYE
Juichi can soar overhead, using his dark plumage to either blend into foliage or a night sky, and scans the area for dangers. If he spots anything that can be a danger to Delta, he will return to her and report his findings.
PROTECTION
In his humanoid form, Juichi fights with his shakujo. However, he will never actively engage in battle. He only fights to either protect himself from aggressors or to protect Delta when she is incapable of protecting herself. As he cannot use ninjutsu, he cannot block incoming ninjutsu attacks, nor can he manage multiple assailants, but he can ward off a single combatant.
Kazumi
Rank: B Elemental Manipulation: None.
Appearance:
PFive foot tall in her human form, Kazumi isn't very intimidating. She has quite a large wingspan that keeps her afloat easily and she uses this flight to her advantage in close-combat battles, also capable of battering opponents with the feathered appendages. She stands on tall wooden geta, with simple pants that tie with a rope, and a leather bust top which shows her belly. She has a very attractive face as a humanoid, and chooses to wear a red, beaked mask that hide her golden yellow eyes and the upper portion of her face. Her long hair is a brown so dark it could almost be considered black. In her tengu crow form, she is a glossy black, and the size of an albatross with much wider wings.
Personality:
Looks, of course, can be deceiving. Kazumi gives off the aura of a competent, headstrong tengu woman. That is, until she moves, or speaks, or does anything, really. She's quite a clumsy creature and can cause more accidents than help sometimes. However, she means well even if she is a bit air-headed. She's quite friendly, even to people she's not supposed to be friendly with if she doesn't know she's not supposed to be friendly with them. However, she can be very serious when the situation calls for it or it's time for a fight. Being serious does not, however, mean she's any less clumsy. She's less so when in the air. Perhaps it's her shoes. The world may never know.
Special Abilities:
SHAPESHIFTING
Like all kotengu, Kazumi is able to shift between a full crow form and a full humanoid form, naturally being incapable of hiding her wings.
STRENGTH
Kazumi is a physically strong individual. She can lift things a human counterpart of the same build could not, and use this feat in battle. Rather than deal blows with her hands, Kazumi will batter the opponent with her wings on top of her sais. As a crow, she is capable of lifting a human of no more than two hundred pounds and carrying them a short distance, be it to escape or merely lift them to a higher level that cannot be easily scaled. She cannot maintain flight holding such a heavy object, but she can with smaller things. She is capable of carrying more weight in the humanoid form, however she is not skilled in carrying someone properly when flying in that method. People have fallen. That is all that needs said. Let your solace remain in at least they were caught.
CLOSE COMBAT
While Kazumi can batter the opponent with her strong wings in both humanoid and crow form, her main form of combat is with a pair of sais coated in poisons.
POISON CRAFTING
Kazumi crafts poisions to be used with her sais, or in general. They are not deadly ones, as she has not been taught to make those just yet, instead they cause ailments such as paralysis, illness, or disorientation. She carries the antidotes to all of the toxins she makes. She is expected to learn more under the tutelage of Hiratoki to one day take his place.
Hiratoki
Rank: A Elemental Manipulation: None.
Appearance:
Hiratoki is the classic karasutengu. He refuses to go to a fully human form, staying at the in-between form of the shapeshift. This keeps his body covered in glossy black feathers, a crow's head with human expression, and arms with four digits reminiscent of talons rather than fingers on each end. His eyes are a glassy yellow, and he wears taoist robes. On his four-digit human-like feet, he wears geta sandals, his scaly legs bound up to the knee where the feathers begin. He carries a shakujo and fights exclusively with it, despite being a dokujutsu master. Standing straight, Hiratoki stands at five foot ten.
Personality:
Hiratoki possesses a bit of a snarky attitude, always giving people a hard time. In the end, he is friendly to allies, however. He's a very serious creature however, and sometimes metaphors or jokes can soar right over his head, causing him to be teased which ruffles his feathers. He speaks in a lowly manner, as the samurai once had spoken, often times. He is very thoughtful and a careful teacher, ensuring his knowledge gets passed on properly.
Special Abilities:
SHAPESHIFTING
As with all karasutengu, Hiratoki is able to completely shift between the form of a crow and that of a humanoid with large black wings. However, he nearly constantly stays in an in-between state, considering it to be the most proper form of a kotengu.
DOKUJUTSU MASTER
If anything, Hiratoki would refer to himself as a scholar. He is one of the best natural poison crafters of the Shokaki karasutengu. He trains Delta in the art of creating deadly poisons as well as knowing how to counteract them and understanding how, exactly, they affect the human body. Kazumi is his apprentice as well.
SHAKUJO PROFICIENCY
Despite being a poison crafter, if Hiratoki is pushed into combat, he fights exclusively with his shakujo staff. This combined with his strength is a powerful weapon against close-combat fighters. If he spins the staff in his digits, he is capable of deflecting some elemental attacks as long as they are not too powerful.
STRENGTH
Like Kazumi, even more so, Hiratoki is very physically strong as a karasutengu should be. He is easily capable of lifting a human as either a crow or a humanoid and carrying them some distance. He is not, however, a free-pass ride whenever one wants to go somewhere, else they may get pricked with a dart. He can use his physical strength in close combat to his advantage as well, combining his shakujo, large wings, and beak.
Method of Summoning: I'd like you to make this clearer. So you need to use some sort of potion in order to summon the beasts of this contract, however, how was it that you summoned them to begin with then? Also I think it would be better if you could only receive refills of this potion by occasionally having to go visit their homeland (via reverse summoning ect...) as this adds more of a limiter on to what you can do to summon these guys.
Juichi:
although karasutengu age at a much more slowly than humans
English woman, do you speak it?
However, he is still a child, and become animatedly distracted when something shiny comes into his field of vision. However, he is capable of ignoring this distraction if he is doing something important that he cannot allow himself to be distracted from.
You not only added a weakness then suddenly took it away, but abused the word however here. I understand that I might do that too, but please try not to make your descriptions seem too choppy and oxymoronic.
Special Abilities: I'd appreciate it if you clearly mapped out abilities in sections like how I had for my Familiar, Shirokage. It makes it easier to quickly look through and be like, okay this is what I can expect.
