After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Snow Leopard
Familiar Name: Ekaterina [Yick-tur-ee-nuh] or Katya [kat-cha] Rank: C Elemental Manipulation: None.
Appearance: Katya is the size of a larger-than-normal, but still naturally possible, snow leopard. From nose to rump, she is almost five foot long, long muscular tail adding a little over three feet to that length. At the shoulder, she stands two foot tall. She weighs one-hundred-and-fifteen pounds. Like all other snow leopards, she cannot roar, but otherwise has a wide vocal range, although she cannot speak the human language. Depending on the time of year, her fur will become much more white than grey.
Personality: Katya is mothering and nurturing. She has a high level of intelligence, understanding Gin even when he doesn't say anything, having spent her entire life with him. She sees a side of him others never do, and she relishes in the privilege. She works as a partner for him, similar to the way the Inuzuka and their dogs live in harmony. An adept hunter, she helps her partner on missions with tracking, chasing, and taking down. Unlike her grumpy master, Katya is friendly towards people and won't object to a good cuddle. She'll often snuggle with Gin when traveling in colder regions that don't have rest stops. She does not like warm places, as her fur is thick and insulated, and will get grumpy if she gets too hot. Ekaterina is highly playful, able to mostly control herself when out in the village, but loving to romp about when in the more desolate forests or mountains. If she tugs and bothers Gin enough, it can turn into a game of wrestle-tag, another privilege bestowed only upon her. If Katya finds someone lost in the snow, she will often bring them home to her master for care.
Special Abilities: Katya is able to utilize chakra while working together with Gin, but more often than not, this is not necessary. She is a competent fighter with four-inch fangs and two-inch claws. However, she is capable of performing a transformation jutsu (she is incapable of hiding her tail), and generally does so to put at ease those her partner interacts with at times, or when thumbs would be useful. She's also capable of using a technique that enhances her physically, giving her a burst of speed with impossibly sharper reflexes, chakra extensions to her claws, and enhanced strength. This technique is short lived, however, and the burst of chakra puts a drain of fatigue on her once it completes, rendering her very vulnerable to attack until she catches her breath and gets out of the way.
Just a quick thing to touch up on. When you say "able to utilize chakra while working together with Gin,..." what do you mean? Just elaborate a little for me and I'll get you squared away.
