APPEARANCE

Mika stands at four feet, five inches tall and weighs seventy-five pounds. She has dark honey blonde hair that falls a few inches past her shoulders and is naturally wavy. She has pale violet-red eyes and a cute, rounded face.

Her preferred outfit includes a short-sleeved white or black shirt with a lightweight red jacket on top, a black skirt, and sandals. On occasion she'll wear sundresses in various pastel colors, with adorable little bows in her hair.

PERSONALITY

Mika is a very shy child; she likes hanging out with kids her age and playing games, but she's easily intimidated and not very fierce or stubborn. She's the type of person that doesn't volunteer answers in class even when she's somewhat confident because she's afraid of being wrong and getting ridiculed or put down.

She's a very respectful girl that's always polite and treats people well. Mika doesn't get angry often, and even when she does she tries not to take it out on people. Very emotional, she's highly sensitive to even playful teasing and is prone to blowing things out of proportion.

HISTORY

Mika is the first and only child of Okasawa Tetsuo and Etsuko. They had gotten married about ten years previous and had been trying for a child ever since, despite the medics at the hospital telling Etsuko that her chances for carrying a healthy child to term were slim to none. The day Etsuko gave birth was the happiest day of her life.

The girl was spoiled rotten by both parents, given everything she could ever want - toys, books, games, candies, everything. Her parents were so happy to have a child that they were more than willing to fawn over her to the extreme.

Mika was six years old when she decided she wanted to be a shinobi. She had seen some older children that attended the academy training with wooden kunai and shuriken and practicing their taijutsu moves. Impressed not only by their skill, but by the tales of famous shinobi she often heard around the village, she told her parents she wanted to go to the academy when she was older.

At first, they were completely and totally unwilling to consider it. Mika was their precious only child, and they didn't want to think about the possibility of losing her to the shinobi lifestyle, or of having to bury their daughter when she was still so young. But the girl refused to relent.

They allowed her to enter the academy at the age of eight on the condition that she be the best student she could be and stay at the top of her class for all her years there. Of course, Mika was more than happy to agree to that condition, and through her first year in the academy worked diligently and spent a lot of her free time training with others in her class. So far, she is shaping up to be a very dedicated and promising student.

Mika, being from a civilian family, has no inherent skill in the shinobi arts; she doesn't have a large chakra pool or very good control, and her hand-to-hand is fairly clumsy. What she is good at, however, due to spending days and days practicing, is throwing weapons like kunai and shuriken. Her accuracy with projectile weapons is far above average for children her age, although the strength she throws them with currently is not.
