After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
In Iwagakure, no one would not take a second glance at Asahina Nakanishi. Anyone would mistaken her as an average passerby like most civilians, contrived to the monotonous lifestyle of a citizen of the village. Slightly shorter than the average height and weighing even less, most would say Miss Nakanishi was just another woman in the street. However, a trip to the hospital would cast away all first-impressions of Asahina.
In her element, Asahina is the busy-body of the hospice. With her dark-wavy locks pulled back into a messy high pony-tail and a smile always plastered upon her lips, you could say she was a changed woman the moment she stepped into her role as a nurse. But, the young woman does not wear the typical uniform. Instead, she dresses semi-formally - a nice white blouse with a doctor's coat from time to time when the hospital becomes understaffed - to hide the long streaks of scars upon her right shoulder she received during sometime in her adolescence. Yet, Asahina works hard, pacing with absolute care and determination for her patients.
Anyone who has visited the hospital and seen her would tell you, "That girl has the warmest smile and the softest eyes."
Personality
Compassionate, polite, and extremely helpful - what could be asked more from a nurse aiming to become a doctor? Asahina moves with purpose, a vigor that cannot be matched with much thanks to her youthful outlook on life. One might think how a young woman like Nakanishi, Asahina survived the tough and gritted place known as Iwagakure? The answer: Determination, matched with a burning desire to help. She cares for everyone in her village, even the antisocial individuals brooding around because it was a choice of life, "The Path of the Heart" she might say. Every act is genuine and every person needs a shoulder from time to time. Its no wonder why a few children of the village call her, "Big Sister". It's a personal title she grew fond of, having no experience with siblings since she was an only child.
Many of her patients who met and grew up with her parents would say, "That girl has her mother's personality and beauty", but also gained the notion of Asahina in possession of her father's guardian nature. The girl is extremely overprotective and headstrong, just like her late father and inherited the physical strength and will to live a fulfilled and dutiful life. When the chips are down and extreme measures are necessary, Asahina is a hurricane, taking control of most situations with the authority permitted by the Board of Directors. Fortunately, she does not become unruly during such turbulent times from pressure, but with no time to spare, it's best to allow her to carry on with her occupation.
A young, inspiring mind - committed to her village and the people within it. It's a shame she did not pursue the path of a shinobi like most of her friends. But, duty does not lie only to the brave souls of her village; Duty is also found within the common folk, to ensure a life of growth and prosperity.
Quirks:
Extremely invasive of personal space just to make sure that men and women are well groomed, even when a few choose to neglect their appearance. It's nothing short of habitual, treating most as siblings with the exception of her superiors. Also, Asahina makes it her mission to know everyone within her village. From the special snowflake to the underdog, none will escape her without at least saying a few words. However, let be known that Miss Nakanishi is a terrible cook and should not be allowed to pursue interests in the culinary arts.
History
Iwagakure is her home. The birthplace the of the strongest and the determined. It is where you adopt the lifestyle and live by it like a creed - to adopt the motif and to keep close to the heart. To be the immovable mountain, a force to be reckoned with, these are the words instilled into the children of Iwagakure from a generations before, sticking to traditions like many believe it should be. Nakanishi, Kousaku, a traditional man of great intellect and pride, as a soldier. He devoted his life to his country, friends, and family. Camaraderie was strong when Nakanishi-sama was around and was respected as a Jōnin from most of his graduation class, including Nozomi, the mother of Asahina. In their time they served as young respective Jōnin, they were bound to each other as close friends. They submitted their lives into each other, cherishing the responsibility of preserving life while they were together. When they were separated for the greater good of the mission, they carried a charm - crafted of spinel crystal and shaped into blossoms. To others, it was a simple good-luck charm, but to them, it was a promise. A promise that was been well-kept.
Years have passed before the knot was officially tied, woven into an intricate braid of happiness, devotion and the start of a family. They were still young, but knew in their hearts that it was time. Nozomi renounced her position as a Jōnin, while Kousaku continued to advise his comrades. Months later, a newborn child came into the new world. The child was a baby girl, wailing as her mother and father embraced together with the child in-between them. It was the happiest moment of the couple's life, but it was also a brief moment of disappointment - Her father's family name will not be carried down as per usual by tradition. However, that did not stop them from loving their dearly beloved child. On that day, she was given Mr. Nakanishi's great-great grandmother's name, Asahina. Nakanishi, Asahina.
Time continued to pass on and when she was of age, Asahina attended the Academy. The young girl was eager to begin a life as a ninja, astounded by the spectacular feats of her father and mothers' bravado. But something was amiss. During the usual examinations, a family secret was revealed. Asahina was barren of talent, no skill to hone. It baffled the instructor and quickly came to the attention of Kousaku. Her father knew of the problem, but thought it would not happen to his child. In the Nakanishi family, it was a hereditary trait, an usual chromosome that accosted the family name generation after generation and it was something Asahina did not understand. To her, it was lack of a strong will and wanted to show everyone that they were wrong to dismiss her so easily from the Academy or her hopes of becoming a full-fledged kunoichi like her mother. So in a act of defiance with her father's inherited will, she left the village to test her mettle and once she crossed a few bandits, it was an act that almost cost her life. Foolishly, Asahina thought any chakra would be roused from a life-threatening situation to come in her aid, but it was all for naught. No sense of the precious energy came and in that moment of weakness, Asahina was struck upon the right shoulder. It would have the end of her, belittled by thugs and which could lead to much more unspeakable things, but she saved. News of her disappearance was quick and fluttered about like a leaf on a wind. Her father, mother and friends of the family dispersed before finally coming to the girl's aid in the nick of time. Sadly, it left a painful memory and the scar was a testament to that incident.
Yong and foolish, Asahina felt as if she had no purpose in life, exiled into a meaningless existence. But, her father did not allow her spirit to die so easily. "Duty is not only for soldiers and ninjas, kiddo. Duty also lies in everyone, from the school instructor to the men and women who help at the Tsuchikage Building. You're young, but when the time is right, you will know your calling in life. But don't mistake this for chance. Keep searching and someday, hopefully soon, you will find it. So look up... You shouldn't look so down.. There is hope." She looked up to him, the father she cherished and taking her father's words by heart, she felt reborn, the fire of her heart and soul rekindled into a roaring blaze. Yet, fate had other plans.
At the age 14, she held a pat-time position at the local noodle shop, but after a few close-calls, Asahina was dismissed, all the while continuing with general school. But at the age of 15, an unforeseen event transpired - her father was missing. They could not divulge information on why. Even her mother, a respected woman did not have the clearance to details. They only knew it was a mission, one that was covert and highly sensitive. The entire cell that was assigned to the task all vanished, including Asahina's father. This moment truly broke her mother's heart as Asahina's own heart sank into sorrow. It almost made her give up once again, but she had to stay strong. Two years continued, and Asahina enrolled into medical training whil her mother was reinstated as a Jōnin once more. Her daughter was practically a grown-up and having little to do at home, Nozomi needed to occupy her mind from the lingering heartache.
...Three years have passed since enrollment. Now, a newly trained nurse, Asahina Nakanishi lives for the people, the village, and ultimately for the sake of her mother. No news of her father has been heard since his disappearance, All he left behind in Iwagakure was his family - the pride and joy of his life - and his charmed bracelet, given to Asahina a day before he set off.
The shuffling movements greeted the new day with haste and clothes were carelessly tossed about. The room was hit by a typhoon of material goods, large volumes of text scattered upon every conceivable space. Yet, cleanliness was of no concern at the moment. Today was the day - father was well on his way, embarked on his new mission with his colleagues. Time was of the utmost importance and when mother stood at the doorway, she inquired with a puzzled look. However, Asahina could not properly answer her mother and blurted out one word as she dashed towards the exit; Father!
Footsteps echoed nosily throughout the street. The sun has not risen to greet the village with a warm, inviting kiss. The streets still slumbered as the girl raced against the clock, the charm waving wildly within her grasp.

*once she cross. Also. BANDITS, IT'S ALWAYS BANDITS.
As for your technical skills, you are the first civilian to register to SDRP, so I may need opinions from other staff, as well. Under the “Triage Dove” heading, you have quite the list of medical specialties. Does Asahina possess intricate knowledge of all of those, or does she just have an overall knowledge that would still require a specialist if it was something more serious?”
