After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Land: The mice of elements live in a large, isolated area in the northeast section of Kusa no Kuni. Description: While the mice may seem large by normal human standards, the secluded land these particular rodents hail from has them at scale with their environment, massive vegetation and even larger animals looming overhead. There is mixed company of sentient beings and non, and the more sentient creatures have formed a pact between predator and prey.
Dozumi is a large mouse. Standing comfortably upright, she is 2'9'' tall between the ears and weighs in at 72lbs. Her silky-soft fur is a dusty brown, with a pale belly and muzzle; her brows are pale as well. She sports three earrings in her left ear; a large hoop at the bottom, a small hoop in the middle, and a stud at the top, all going up the outer edge of the ear. She keeps a cloth tied around her waist with a decorated braided rope, functioning as both a loincloth and an apron with two pockets on the front. Along the rope on both sides of her hips are amulets made from stones and threads. On her two-and-a-half-foot tail, Dozumi has a gold-and-silver band around near the base that is six inches long. Close to the end is a braided rope tied in two places, a teardrop-shaped amulet of stone hanging between the knots. She often keeps her tail upright so that the amulet does not drag on the ground. When moving quickly, she drops to all fours to run.
Dozumi is a humble creature, always putting others before herself. She is attuned to the earth and the creatures within it, taking particular interest and care in planting. She enjoys spending time together with Fuuzumi. Dozumi is good at detecting danger approaching, and will warn Izaya as well as offer a suggestion how to deal with what's approaching if she's quick enough to think of it. Dozumi is surprisingly inept at climbing anything but an earthen wall, and will take up defense solidly rooted to the ground rather than fleeing unless she feels entirely outclassed by the opponent.
EARTH MANIPULATION JUTSU
Dozumi is capable of manipulating the earth with her jutsu. She can bring up protective wall shields large enough to defend Izaya from frontal attacks, bring up spikes of earth to attack the opponent, or force ledges out of the ground. The ledges can be used as a boost for jumping if she rises them underneath you, but they can also be used as a path going down earthen walls that would otherwise be difficult to climb.
Dozumi may not be good at climbing, but she can dig. Her digging ability is enhanced by her ability to manipulate the earth and she can travel quickly underground, capable of popping up underneath an enemy, or even digging out enough that the surface ground can collapse, although this takes time to accomplish.
As long as she is on the ground, Dozumi is capable of feeling even slight vibrations in the earth. She can detect things digging beneath the ground, as well as movements on the surface and tell roughly how heavy they are, how far they are, and how fast they are moving. This ability can extend up to 150 yards from her position, depending on how heavy the someone is entering her range of perception. Lighter creatures and people won't be detected until they are within 100 yards.
A shared trait of all mice is their ability to bite and chew through dense material.
Suizumi is significantly larger than Tsukizumi and Dozumi. He stands upright at 42'', or 3'6'' and weighs 94lbs. His soft fur has a waxy texture to it, laden with oils that keep it waterproof, and is colored a dusty brown with creamier underparts. The top of his head has blue markings; an elonged teardrop shape that points toward his nose, with three small circles on the round end of the teardrop. His right ear bears a silver hoop in the outer edge, closer to the top, while the left ear bears a silver hoop down lower on the outer edge.
Around his neck is a long beaded necklace that has been double-looped, bearing a white shell pendant. Around his left wrist he wears three silver bands, and around his belly is a double-looped cord with large, loose beading. Tied to the middle of this cord is a blue cloth, cinched in to places by azure beads. He wears a pearl anklet around his left ankle, with a blue cloth tied around his right foot. He has eight silver bands placed in random intervals down his tail.
Distinctive markings that set him apart from the other mice is that his digits have webbing between them, and underneath the fur of his neck he possesses gills.
Suizumi is quite the vain creature, considering himself more elegant than the other mice. He takes his duty as a summon very seriously, considering Izaya the same as a prince with himself as the royal guard. Or something like that, anyway. Despite his arrogance, Suizumi is awkwardly kind, similar to his master in that regard, acting as if he has better things to do than assist the other person, but doing it because it simply won't get done otherwise.
Underneath the fur at his neck, Suizumi possesses something similar to gills, allowing him to breathe underwater for an indefinite amount of time, converting oxygen in the water to oxygen he can breathe. The water must be expelled from his lungs before he can breathe above the surface.
Using the ability to intake water through these gills, Suizumi is capable of shooting a poweful jet of water at the opponent. This jet can be fired above the water, however it is more powerful under the water thanks to the endless supply he can intake. This torpedo of water can knock enemy ninja off of their feet on the surface, causing them to fall into the water, batter someone who is swimming, as well as overturn small boats. Above the surface the water jet works as a mid-range blunt force capable of knocking a lighter enemy back a few paces, but nothing more.
Suizumi is a fast and capable swimmer, moving like an otter under the surface. He is capable of quickly transporting Izaya across a body of water if the boy clings tightly to his back, arms around the mouse's neck. Suizumi is only capable of taking one person at a time, and cannot keep larger people afloat. If the passenger is able to hold their breath, moving underwater is much faster.
Fuuzumi stands three feet even between the ears when upright, and weighs 81lbs. His fur is a dusty brown with tan underparts. Over his shoulders, Fuuzumi weards a two-part yellow-and-tan cloak with a high collar extending around the back of his head. From each top corner of the collar, two periwinkle pendants dangle, three inches apart from eachother. Two gold ropes connect the shoulders of the cloak together across his chest, and nearer the base of the collar there are two gold rings on each side. On the left edge of the cloak's mantle, a long quill extends, ending in a periwinkle pendant. On the right side, the mantle of the cloak extends into long silk strands, also ending in a periwinkle pendant. The back of the cloak is yellow and extends to the small of his back, while a long, patterned scarf-like extension flows out the right side.
Aside from the cloak, Fuuzumi adorns himself with many decorations. He wears a decorative three-point cloth on his head; black trimmed with yellow, with a periwinkle pendant hanging from each point, the top of the triangle pointing to the back of the head. Around his left wrist, Fuuzumi has two gold bands, a long patterned cloth tied between, secured by a red bead. At each hanging corner of this cloth is a periwinkle pendant. Around the right wrist, he has a long orange cloth ending in three pendants, secured in place by a red bead. Above that is a gold ban, then a fingerless patterened glove-like adornment that runs a cloth between his outer digits across the inside of his inner digits. On Fuuzumi's right ear, he possesses three piercings; two gold hoops and one purple stud. Around his right foot are gold bands, and his tail possesses a thin gold ring near the base, a thicker gold band two thirds of the way down, and a rope with two loops at the end, another periwinkle pendant hanging in between.
Fuuzumi is rarely seen without his gingko fan and incense bowl.
Fuuzumi is, in a word an eccentric. He tends to perform any feat in an overly dramatic fashion, even if it's simply walking from one place to another. That is, if he even chooses to walk; for most days, he'd much rather float. He gloats when he wins, but somehow even manages to find a way to gloat if he loses, as if he let the other player win on purpose. He considers himself royalty, even though he is not. His antics are largely ignorable by others who know him, much to his chagrin.
By manipulating the air currents, Fuuzumi is capable of "floating" on a pillow of air, which he will often do in place of walking. He is also capable of floating other things his weight or less up to 20 yards away, however he can only float one object at a time and must be grounded to do so. This does not provide much battle advantage unless used creatively to make an opponent lose their footing.
Using his Gingko-like fan, Fuuzumi charges it with his chakra and waves it powerfully at his target, producing a stong and cutting wind wave that batters the enemy with each wave of the fan. It goes up to 20 yards, however has a narrow attack radius thanks to the small size of his fan.
Using his fan, Fuuzumi will blow incense from his bowl towards the enemy. because it is combined with his chakra-enhanced wind, the smell of the incense causes disorientation to whomever inhales is (unfortunately, this can include allies if he's not careful, however he himself is immune). The disorientation only lasts a few minutes, longer if more incense was breathed in, but it is long enough to create an opening. If the incense smoke can be cleared from the lungs, generally capable by another fuuton user, then the effects will subside quickly.
By manipulating air in a similar manner as when he floats objects, Fuuzumi can create a pillow of condensed air which can lessen impact from a throw or fall, as well as throw projectiles off-course. It can also lessen impact from incoming blows on Izaya, but by no means does it work as an effective defense.
Kazumi is a very large mouse, standing at a hefty five and a half foot tall and weighing in at 164lbs. Her fur is longer and shaggy, providing her insulation from heat. On her head is a red-and-yellow helmet, trimmed with a ridge of soft hairs dyed to mimic flame. Her left ear sports a large gold hoop with a red bead in the center. Around Kazumi's neck is a simple beaded necklace of yellow beads, larger red beads at regular intervals along the length. Her shoulders are protected by red-and-yellow pads made of the same metal as the helmet. Each wrist has a gold band with a single diamond inlay at the top. Around her waist, Kazumi has a reddish-orange loincloth with a flame insignia, attached around the waist by a gold chain, tattered cloth and large red baubles around the length at regular intervals. Both feet sport three gold bands. Partway down her tail, Kazumi has a gold ring, and about the same distance down is another gold ring. A reddish-orange cloth connects this second to a third some ways down her tail, with two more rings closer to the end. For weapons, Kazumi carries a round yellow and red shield with a flame insignia on her left arm, a torch in her right paw.
Kazumi is proud, Kazumi is a warrior. Kazumi is a mouse of the flame. She will fight tooth and claw for what she believes is right, and never backs down from a fight of any kind (even if it is a menial dare). She is by far not fearless, but that's what courage is—the ability to still do what you're afriad of. Powerful opponents, ones she knows are stronger than herself, give her chilling tingles in her spine, but she will not back down. If she was called, she was called to protect Izaya. The old man had entrusted her and the others to care for this boy, and that is exactly what she intends to do.
Kazumi's impossibly thick fur protects her hide from heat and fire, and the hairs themselves don't conduct heat very well, making it difficult to burn. However, because her fur is so thick, it is highly absorbent to water. If her fur gets soaked through with water and then heated, the result could scald her skin, and also make her easily subjected to electrocution from lightning.
Kazumi has a very high internal core temperature, the fur helping to contain it. Her breath is extremely hot if she chooses to make it so because of this, and it can melt some objects made of plastic or burn the skin. It is important to note that she cannot breathe fire, just heat. The heat cannot be projected any farther than her lungs can naturally blow.
Clicking her teeth together like a flint, Kazumi lights her torch. She can then use the flame of this torch to blow and attack enemies at a close range, but for mid range she powerfully whips it, sending a snake of flame out towards a closer mid-ranged opponent. The torch can also be used as a faming club to batter the enemies with, a more preferred attack method.
Kazumi can use her shield to deflect incoming blasts of fire, although it is strong enough to take heavy physical blows as well. The round shape of the shield causes the flames to scatter once impacting, protecting not only herself but whomever stands behind her.
