After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Using this technique the user is able to liquefy and solidify their body at will, the liquid state providing invulnerability to physical damage, increased maneuverability, and the ability to hide in plain sight. While the value of the skill is high, there are downsides. A liquefied limb is fairly useless at delivering a simple blow on its own and the use of this skill leaves the user extremely vulnerable to Raiton chakra.
The user liquefies and manipulates a part of their body while leaving the rest solid and intact. This is an excellent technique for absorbing a physical blow without removing one’s ability to counter it. Or, you know, when you want to screw around, especially with people who don’t know you can turn to water at will.
Mizu Fūsen no Jutsu [Water Balloon Technique] C-Rank || Hiden Ninjutsu || Suiton || Short-to-Mid Range || Offensive
After using the Hydrification Technique to form a pool of water at their feet, the user then produces bubbles which float upwards from the ground. These are then launched at targets with such speed and force that they can cause great blunt-force trauma. The closer the opponent the better chance the technique will land.
Suishi Mizu Shoukai no Justu [Drowning Water Blob Technique] C-Rank || Hiden Ninjutsu || Suiton || Short-Range || Offensive
After liquefying a portion of their body the user manipulates the water to surround a target’s head, preventing them from breathing in order to either: render the victim unconscious or ultimately kill them, if the suffocation is sustained.
The liquefied user merges with a large water source, and using this mass of water the user forms a giant wave. The water molds to the user's will and can be used to batter opponents or conversely to shield allies from attack. A powerful enough attack can overwhelm the user, rendering them unconscious and severing their control over the water in question.
Mizudeppō no Jutsu [Water Gun Technique] B-Rank || Hiden Ninjutsu || Suiton || Short Range || Offensive
The user mimics a gun with his hand and, through the Hydrification Technique, compresses a drop of water in their index finger, firing it with tremendous force and speed similar to a gunshot — enough to easily pierce through a sand clone. This technique can also be performed with both hands simultaneously to increase its lethality.
Suiton: Gōsuiwan no Jutsu [Water Release: Great Water Arm Technique] B-rank || Hiden Ninjutsu || Suiton || Short-Range || Supplementary
Moisture is gathered from the whole body and compressed into the user's arm, instantaneously and temporarily enlarging and strengthening the limb. Because it is essential to properly control the moisture balance inside the body, this technique's degree of difficulty is very high. The technique gives the user superhuman strength, capable of breaking through both rock walls and steel doors.
The user creates a clone made from the oil and water in their body. The clone is graced with heightened speed, which also allows it to heat up quickly, and can manipulate it's limbs to create weapons out of the water it contains. When it exerts itself, the oil that forms the clones outer layers heats up, the water inside heating to the point that it shifts from liquid to vapor, resulting in a build-up of pressure the expands the clone's size. When it reaches critical mass the clone explodes, the water vapor released into the air where it cools, condensing and raining down to cool the heated oil. The clone reforms and the cycle continues. NOTE: Using this technique leaves the user in a severely weakened and vulnerable state, designed by the elite to use as a last resort in the face of possible defeat.
A technique useful in conjunction with Hydrification techniques, allowing the user to manipulate foreign objects residing within their liquified body. Inanimate objects, such as enemy projectiles, that strike the body are moved by manipulating the chakra-laced water in which they're trapped, for the purposes of being ejected from the body or shifted into position to be wielded in a counter attack. Note: This technique is limited by the mass and weight of the objects able to be manipulated.
The most notable features of the Hōzuki, seen among most if not all of its members, is hair of a bright value. Their locks have a tendency to be anywhere between a snow white, a light gray, and a bright blonde in color.
Another common feature is that of pristine skin, given that the clan originates from an area of little sunlight, and that their given abilities prevent most blemishes from showing.
Aside from such factors, most clan members who take part in learning their people's special techniques are seen consistently hydrating themselves, often carrying water bottles or some sort of drink everywhere they go.
Other than this, the Hōzuki is a physically diverse clan in terms of both body size, behavior, and fashion sense.
background
The Hōzuki were supposedly one of the founding clans of the Mist, having been around since the dawn of the shinobi villages. Its people, once scattered across the many isles of Water Country, were gathered in the formation of the village given their unmatched potential in the art of Water Release,
As one of the noble clans of the Mist, its lineage of leadership is expected to have some of the greatest skill to be observed from within the village, and the Hōzuki clan is not one to disappoint. Those born into inheriting leadership of the clan are said to be natural prodigies, while those outside of its hierarchy are to serve and protect the clan's secrets as simple shinobi.
Though the number of shinobi who inherit this clan's secrets is very low, the clan still serves as a ripe breeding ground for some of the most dangerous types of shinobi. Be it infiltration-expert ANBU black ops, close range squad leaders, interrogation specialists, or even the spot of Mizukage, the Hōzuki hold true to their reputation in having occupied such esteemed positions.
legacy of power
Suika no Jutsu [Hydrification Technique]
The Hydrification Technique, one known throughout the Mist as the pride and joy of Mizu no Kuni, is a technique invoking chakra of a Water Release nature to turn the body of its user into water, allowing him/her to liquefy and solidify themselves at will. The exact composition of this liquid state can be altered from being simple water, given the user's proficiency in changing their form. Even when unconscious, a Hōzukiwill take on a near-liquid gel-like state.
In this state, the user still retains considerable control of their liquid body, being able to swim across land and reform itself if the user so desires. Considering water simply allows physical objects to pass through it without causing harm, the technique essentially makes the user immune to nearly all forms of physical attacks. Cutting and piercing weaponry simply slips through their liquid form without damaging them, and powerful blunt strikes and explosions merely disperse their liquid form. This makes the clan members exceptionally astute in overpowering physical fighters. No matter how dispersed their body becomes, be it puddles or even steam, the user can reform his/herself back into a physical form.
The biggest weakness of the technique lies in its poor resistance to Raiton and electricity in general. This excited energy will still cause general damage to the clan member, as well as inhibit the ability for them to change states. Thus, if a Hōzuki is electrocuted before they can begin to liquefy, damage can be done to their physical body.
