After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
KUGUHENGE NO JUTSU [PUPPET TRANSFORMATION TECHNIQUE] D-RANK || NINJUTSU || ALL RANGES || SUPPLEMENTARY
After connecting oneself to a puppet with their threads, the user will form a hand seal, as will the puppet. The chakra flowing into them through the threads will envelop their body, turning them into an exact replica of another person, animal, or inanimate object, tricking shinobi into thinking that the weapon is actually an ally or nonthreatening. Considering the shapes and sizes that puppets come in, the variety of what one can be transform into is practically limitless. As with the parent ninjutsu, the Transformation Technique, striking the transformed puppet will revert it back to its original form.
KUGUTSU NO JUTSU [PUPPET TECHNIQUE] C-RANK || NINJUTSU || ALL RANGES || OFFENSIVE
The Puppet Technique is a unique ninjutsu fighting style; this technique uses chakra threads to control puppets like marionettes. Any number of chakra threads can be used to control a puppet, but users with more skill can use fewer strings per puppet. Those who specialize in the art have demonstrated the ability to control entire puppets perfectly through use of a single thread. Being comprised of chakra these threads are immune to any and all physical assaults, even those by elemental ninjutsu. They can, however, be cut by items that are being charged with chakra (regardless of the element). The user can emit one thread per finger, each of which is capable of controlling a single item (a full puppet included).
SPECIAL NOTE: This technique is only available to Ninjutsu and Genjutsu Primaries due to its chakra-intensive nature.
Through use of the Puppetry Technique's malleable chakra threads, one can turn simple bladed weaponry into a deadly arsenal of airborne mechanisms. These threads can be connected to a weapon, such as a shuriken for example, so that simple finger movements can be performed to toss them about in nearly any direction. What makes this technique so effective in use is the user's ability to manipulate the blade's position in space, granting potential increase their destructive ability. A shuriken can be made to spin in place at high speed like that of a buzz-saw, while kunai and senbon alike may be rotated in a drill-like fashion, allowing them to deal heavier damage into flesh.
KUGUWARIMI NO JUTSU [PUPPET REPLACEMENT TECHNIQUE] C-RANK || NINJUTSU ||SHORT-MID RANGE || SUPPLEMENTARY
An expected strategy of the opponent is to bypass a puppeteer's mechanized weapon in favor of attaching its wielder. The lag between a puppeteer's actions and their long distance device's makes accurately counteracting such measures difficult, of course. However, with an advanced use of the Body Replacement Technique, the user will swiftly retract their puppet through shortening the threads connecting to them, while simultaneously finding another spot to reside. What results is the puppet now taking the place of the user, while he or she is somewhere safer. When used against those who prefer close range combat, it is a great way to force the enemy into a certain trap, forcing them to attack that which they tried desperately to avoid touching.
The arms of a puppet are prepared ahead of time with inscriptions for summoning, those that lead to a collection of duplicate arms somewhere in the user's collection. When activated, these seals act as a gateway medium that summon forth several dozen arms, all of which connect to the inscriptions from which they came from. Seals written on the duplicate arms are then used to summon more and more arms, until the number nearly reaches the thousands. When summoned in bulk, these arms are capable of crushing groups of shinobi beneath their weight, acting as a sudden surprise offense. As they are all duplicates of the parent arm, each limb contains the same inner compartments and weapons that the original would, all of which is under the user's control. So long as they remain attached to the limb, however, this horde of arms will reduce the mobility of the puppet to be nearly immobile until they detach it.
KIKŌ JUNBŪ [MECHANICAL LIGHT SHIELD BLOCK] B-RANK || NINJUTSU || SHORT RANGE || DEFENSIVE
Chakra-reactive panels within or on a puppet will flare open, becoming coated in a thin-yet-dense sheet of the user's chakra. This will form a makeshift shield that is nearly as strong as steel, being able to hold up against both physical and chakra-based attacks that are sent the user's way. However, as it only covers the area around and interconnecting the panels, parts of the puppet not involved in the technique are still very vulnerable to damage.
KIKŌ KENKAI [MECHANICAL LIGHT BLADE CUT] B-RANK || NINJUTSU || SHORT RANGE || OFFENSIVE
A spherical device within a puppet is exposed, one that is highly reactive to the user's chakra. When activated, the user can extend a thin yet firm sheet of their chakra from the device, creating between one and four meter-long blades of energy. These blades can move freely along the device's surface, making for a rotatable sword or even a massive sawing shuriken. The sharpness these blades possesses is immense, being able to cut through basic weaponry, and even solid stone. However, if introduced to something too durable to cut through, these thin and brittle blades will easily break and disperse, making its use purely for offensive purposes.
A diversion must be employed before the technique can be put into place, one in which the user manages to attach one or more of their threads to the opponent's body. From there, a full frontal assault is deployed by the puppet, one that the enemy would normally be able to dodge retaliate against on any other occasion. However, when combined with a sharp retraction of the thread connecting to the opponent, not to mention a physical pulling on the user's part, the opponent will be swiftly reeled toward the attacking puppet(s). This renders the enemy incapable of dodging through normal means, forcing them to engage with the puppet whether they want to or not.
JIKOKUGUTSU NO JUTSU [GRAND PERFORMANCE PUPPET TECHNIQUE] B-RANK || NINJUTSU || ALL RANGES || SUPPLEMENTARY
While normally puppeteers can only produce a total of ten chakra threads without the use of a specialized device, some puppeteers have learned to multiply the number of threads produced form each finger, double or even tripling the number they can normally make. However, this multiplication of thread numbers divides the potency of each thread, removing a puppeteer's ability to manipulate the inner mechanisms of a puppet. A puppet can still be maneuvered to perform physical actions such as attacking and dodging, but the traps hidden within are incapable of being activated. This trades the great number of attacks that a small number of puppets can perform for a smaller number of attacks that a grand mass of puppets can attempt.
BAKUGUTSU NO JUTSU [EXPLODING PUPPET TECHNIQUE] A-RANK || NINJUTSU || SHORT RANGE || OFFENSIVE
Given their detachable limbs and interchangeable arsenal of weaponry, one could argue that puppets were made to be broken. This is especially true in the case of this ninjutsu, in which the user overloads the chakra-reactive materials that make their weapon up. Doing so creates instability within the puppet, ultimately resulting in a grand explosion capable of rending steel and other hardy defenses to pieces. Doing so tolls the user's chakra pool heavily, though the results are guaranteed positive for its user more often than not. An unfortunate byproduct of this technique is the damage dealt to the puppet; given that it is the interconnecting mechanisms that are the core of the blast, they are often damaged too far beyond repair, making conventional reconnecting or mending of these parts impossible. Thus, this technique is best suited for destroying disposable puppets, those that are easily replaceable.
SŌOEN: HITOMI GOKŪ [MANIPULATION PERFORMANCE: HUMAN BODY'S SKILLFUL ACHIEVEMENT] A-RANK || NINJUTSU || ALL RANGES || OFFENSIVE
A puppet technique where chakra threads are attached to various spots on a person's body; the head, torso, both arms, and both legs. The person being manipulated gains the ability to not only use their own techniques, but the skills of the puppeteer as well. The origins of this technique lie on the battlefield. When a puppeteer's puppets were all destroyed, they would begin using corpses. To perform this technique with a living person would normally require both parties to cooperate with each other, however a highly skilled user can control the target by force if the person is severely weakened or damaged rendering them unable to resist.
