After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Risu no Gengo [Language of the Squirrel] E || N/A || N/A|| Self || Supplementary
One of the first techniques learned by the members of the Subeta clan. While their individual familiars are able to speak English, this technique is taught to them by their partners. Allowing them to speak with rodents while out in the field. This allows the shinobi to use animals of the 'rodent' class out in the field for recon and intelligence gathering.
Ninpo:Risu Bushin [Ninja Art: Squirrel Clone] C || Ninjutsu/Collaboration || N/A || Self || Supplementary
Utilizing ones control over rodents in the area, the user replaces their body with a clone made up entirely of prairie dogs. While it is solid in nature and able to take a hit, it is unable to preform ninjutsu. In order to make it seem like the real body, Ventriloquism needs to be used. When struck, the clone will dissolve, causing the prairie dogs that made it up to scatter.
The Subeta shinobi, along with their familiar will each focus either Fuuton or Doton chakra in their mouths before expelling them in quick, timed bursts. Upon leaving their mouths, the two blasts combine into a small, ball-sized bullet that flies at the opponent in order to deal blunt-force damage. Normally the Doton partner will expel rocks while the Fuuton user uses the wind to fire them at the target.
Utilizing the Prairie Dog's ability to modify soil composition by bringing fresh soil to the surface, the user of this ability is able to modify the ore and mineral content of the earth around them. Doing such allows them to adjust certain modifiers, like the ratio of silt, sand or clay. Using this ability as a precursor to other Doton techniques can end up changing the overall power or effect of the technique.
By combing the users chakra with their familiars, they are able to sink into the ground and move around rapidly, leaving a trail behind them. While this makes them easy to follow, the user moves at such speeds that they can create an intricate tunnel network within a few minutes. By sensing the earth around them with their chakra, the pair is easily able to tell how deep they are, as well as the position of the enemies above them. This not only makes it a technique to escape, but also to set up a counter attack.
The doton partner will first create a palm-sized rock that they spit out of their mouths. This rock is different in the sense that it is almost completely hollow, only the outer shell keeps it in its solid form. The fuuton partner will then flood his or her chakra into the solid rock until it highly pressurized. With nowhere left for the air to go, the user of this jutsu will throw the stone. When it comes into contact with anything, the balance of pressure inside will cause the rock to explode, sending the outer shell outwards as shrapnel. The rock can also be filled with paper bombs or gunpowder for an even larger explosion.
Doton: Daikojin no Jutsu [Earth Release: Great Dust Bowl Jutsu] C - S|| Ninjutsu/Collaboration || Doton/Fuuton|| All || All
Daikojin no Jutsu is the Subeta Family's signature and most well-known technique. Utilizing the chakra of both themselves and their familiars, the duo in question is able to exhale winds and debris at such a speed that it picks up loose bits of sand and debris in the area around them. The winds are so powerful that they are able to deflect projectiles, and the debris will end up buffeting an area, causing a seemingly-limitless amounts of scratches and cuts should anyone, even the user, end up inside the dust bowl. The size of this jutsu depends on the chakra put into it. Novices of the ability are only able to generate a dust storm that reaches about 40 meters in diameter, while masters of the technique are able to create storms reaching heights of one kilometer. This technique is even deadlier if used in the desert, since it could bury an entire village under several tons of sand.

CHARACTERISTICS
While most clan members can be distinguished by a dominant trait that runs through them, or a Kekkei Genkai that they possess, the Subeta clan has neither. The mark of their clan comes in the form of furry bundles of divine, unrestrained fury. Prairie Dogs, often referred to as Ninrisu, are used by the Subeta clan for their special collaboration ninja arts.. While the elements of the members can differ, nearly every pair possesses the Fuuton/Doton nature.
BACKGROUND
The Subeta clan started in a minor settlement along the southern stretch of Kaze no Kuni. Located right along a mountain range, the inhabitants cooperated with the Prairie Dogs of the mountains, a tribe of ninrisu, in order to grow crops and map out the surrounding area. In exchange for half their crops, the Prairie dog clan promised to protect the village from the wild and dangerous desert.
Years passed, and the Subeta family clan began to wonder about the shifting tides beyond their settlement. They dare not step past the walls that the Prairie Dogs erected, for the tales of the fierce storms had shifted into nightmares. This continued for generations, until a single child ventured past the walls. In a panic, the village banded together to chase after him, determined to bring their kin back. Once on the other side.. not a single dust storm was seen. The sun was bright, the desert's scorching heat beating down upon them.
For generations, the clan had lived in fear of the desert around them. What they failed to realize was that the Prairie Dogs had been using their power to manipulate the surrounding desert. Indeed offering them protection. It was a lesson for all to learn from. Walls weren't what protected them, but their trust in their neighbors. With this lesson in mind, the clan set out in search of a new home.
Eventually finding Sunagakure and settling down, the Subeta clan has been an intricate part of the village for a few generations now. Working with their neighbors, just as the Prairie Dogs had taught them, to make a better, safer home for all. They used their power to alter the terrain to grow food, helping keep the village stable while reducing their dependency on other villages.
LEGACY OF POWER
While the Subeta Clan is far from the most powerful clan, without any real legacy to them, the members have always been seen as excellent teammates to have. Their kind and trusting disposition make them an essential part of any village. In addition, their abilities to manipulate and either improve or destroy the foundations of a village make them quite helpful in economic growth.
