Sumimaru

APPEARANCE

A massive Ink-black Tibetian Mastiff hulking at 85cm at the withers. Weighing at 72kg few are the people that can hold Sumimaru from reaching a place he desires. Sumimaru’s long fur serves both as protection from the elements and protection from harm as it cushions blows and cuts and somewhat obfuscates the body shape of the dog. His massive square head and short light brown muzzle together with the fur and general size give Sumimaru a very bear like appearance (especially when mad), in fact, he can go from a fluffy and soft gentle giant into a massive bear-like mass of terror in a matter of seconds.



Sumimaru has light brown sock like marking on his feet and round light brown ‘eyebrows’ that combine with his round eyes and heavy cheeks to give him a tired look, when in actuality, Sumimaru is usually Poised and ready to move and work

PERSONALITY

When off duty, Sumimaru simply doesn't care enough about most things. He doesn't care is the Courgi pup is doing her best to get him to play. He doesn't care if the merle male is being noisy. He does not care if Hitomi decided his fur needs more grooming or that he is a legitimate pillow.
What he does care about is when strangers are trying to pet him claiming he is adorable and looks like a super big stuffed animal. He understands that human puppies are too stupid to not touch him so he puts up with it. If it's a grown one, it's a different thing.  Sumimaru HATES being touched my strangers and it's rare for him to accept any stranger, even if they are Hitomi's friends. If he does, that person is so lucky for not falling under the 'slam to floor in case of annoyance' category.

When on duty, Sumimaru is a very calm, loyal and dependable companion. He is incredibly strong and his endurance is much better that what anyone would ever believe is possible. He is never bothered to go along with Hitomi's interrogation techniques, he even enjoys them as he hates most people. He is the kind of a dog that can take on a bear and has no problem to just slam himself at a person and breaking his opponents rib cage. Which is one of his favorite battle actions - easy to do, doesn't take long and with his weight and speed, does the job perfectly well.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

• Collaboration Techniques

Being breed specifically by the Inuzuka clan to be a military dog, Sumimaru  was trained to use collaboration techniques and create attack/defense combo moves with his master and other dogs.

• Chakra Body Enchantments.

Being breed y the Inuzuka, Sumimaru has the ability to use the chakra in his body to improve his abilities. Making his fur denser and become basically an armor, Improve his speed, hearing ability or speed. One of the most popular thinks he does with it is have his fur filled with electricity to zap those he attacks (as well as prevent unwanted petting) or make his fur much stronger and denser so it acts like a full body armor.

Setokami (瀬戸神)

APPEARANCE

A young and energetic Corgi pup standing at 23 cm tall at the withers. Despite her small size her dense and muscular build makes her weigh a whopping 8.5kg (noticeably heavier than what you would expect from a dog of her size). Setokami appears to have a long body for her size but in fact, the opposite is true, her legs are just very short compared to the rest of her body. Despite this though, Setokami is very agile and quick.

Setokami has a large round head with large fox-like ears that round at the edges and a short pointy snout. A straight almost rectangular body and a bunny like docked tail on the back. Her fur is almost completely reddish-orange in colour except for her chest, gloves, cheeks and snout which are white. Setokami also still has a sable puppy-hood mask on her face, though it has started to recede into her standard color.

PERSONALITY

Setokami Is an ordinary Corgi puppy, or ordinary any puppy. She is playful, a little silly and in an obvious need of training. The female dog is very energetic and loves to run around, dig holes and play in mud or water, resulting in the need to clean her often. 

Her playfulness is so addictive that even the much older Caucasian Herder come along to play (even if he usually just ignores the pup).  During the time she is not playing (or thinking she is playing) Setokami is usually asleep or eating. Being a puppy means there are lots of energy to let out, it also means that the energy will run out fast.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

She might be taught something when she grows up. For now, there is nothing.

Toramaru

APPEARANCE

Toramaru stands is a medium sized mutt standing at 53 cm at the withers and weighing 20 kg. His physical build suggest a mix of the Australian Kelpie, Kai Ken and Finnish Lapphund.

His coat is predominantly black with reddish-brown tiger like stripes all over (A characteristic coat of the Kai Ken). Toramaru has white sock as well as a white chest and cream tinted muzzle and eyebrows.

Toramaru’s body generally resembles that of a Finnish lapphund, a stocky frame covered in medium length double coat. Also similar to a Lapphund, Toramaru’s head is large and round with a foxy pointy snout, and an upwards curled fluffy tail on his back.

His legs are longer and slimmer than typical for Lapphunds and displays properties closer to the Australian kelpie: longer slimmer legs with pronounced joints on the hind legs, as well as a somewhat wider stance. Those things enable Toramaru to move with heightened agility and grant him superb balancing skills, enhanced by his Kelpie like highly sensitive large pricked ears.

Toramaru possesses strong paws and claws that assist him with the Kai Ken’s signature tree climbing (while Toramaru is not as good and agile as a pure bred Kai Ken, his mixed in Kelpie blood and sense of balance helps cover up his short comings).

PERSONALITY

Toramaru is a very clever and extremely energetic dog, being a mix of three highly agile and enduring work breeds. As a young dog (2 years old approximately), he has a lot of energy and stamina and enjoys playing with Setokami (the corgi pup).

As he was abandoned at a young age and then rescued by Hitomi, Toramaru is very attached to Hitomi and feels at ease only when she is nearby, often actively seeking attention (especially belly rubs) from her.

When he is around trusted people he will usually nag them for attention as well. He will also have a happy-go-lucky kind of attitude at this time as result of being comfortable.

SPECIAL ABILITIES

Closest thing to what can be called 'special ability' is Toromaru's high agility. He is able to climb trees freely, balance himself while running around and jumping on top of unsteady surfaces (the backs of sheep for example) and avoiding obstacles with ease when he runs at high speed.
