After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

When compared to his parents, one would say that Kin has always had features more similar to his mother than his father. The boy has grown up with relatively light olive skin, as opposed to the deep tan most of his clan--including his father--possess. His facial features are soft and round, though his masculine body tells a different story of inheritance. Like his father, however, the man possesses sharp and slanted eyes of a deep onyx, while his hair is a jet black length tied back into a tail. More often than not, the rest of the man's hair is kept messy and hanging over part of his face.
On a typical day, Kin can be seen wearing his characteristic golden jacket, one trimmed with white flames on its edges. While he wears no shirt beneath this top, he does bear bandaging rising up from his waist to his abdomen, as well as athletic wraps from his elbows to his wrists. White baggy pants, those that reach just past the man's knees, are also followed by bandaging going from his knees to his ankles, where they meet black shinobi sandals akin to those in his profession.
Across his chest, beneath his jacket, is a leather strap, one that connects to a tote-like satchel that hangs behind his waist in lieu of a shinobi pouch. His hitai-ate rests upon the strap of this belt, the metal plate showing clearly through the opening in his jacket.
PERSONALITY
Given his strict upbringing, Kin is considered to be a straight-edged young man whose manners exceed even that of those older than him. He speaks with the highest honorifics toward both his peers and his superiors, and is said to be quite a master at casual conversation. However, it seems that there is a shyness about the man, as he does not tend to talk for very long before excusing himself. This has also led into a form of clumsiness or forgetfulness within the Chunin. However gloom a situation seems, a trademark smile will nonetheless gleam from his soft and gentle face, be it before an ally or an enemy. This has won Kin the moniker that he is known by to this very day; the man with the golden grin.
But within this mask of kindness is a sinking black void that is most often seen by the worst of his adversaries. The pain Kin experienced growing up has made him adept in both protecting and sustaining himself in the world, granting him a sharp mind that is kept hidden behind a bashful and polite nature. Even while he may seem happy to see someone, the man may internally regret ever having stepped outside of his home.
Kin wields these two personas as the edges of his mind's sword, disguising himself in the outward behavior of a softhearted shinobi while deploying actions and strategies that only the coldest of blood could conceive. To him, such a mindset is the very nature that defines a shinobi: deception.
It is Kin's goal to one day control of the Sound Village, rising his way up the ladder of power until he maintains complete manipulation of its forces. Thus, anything that may stand in his way will be marked for certain elimination, all behind his golden grin of a mask.

The Hyagumo clan has insisted throughout all of its years within the Sound Village that its heir will be grafted an eye upon their forehead, one that will create a leader with a divine view of their world. This tradition has continued on to this day, with only one individual to deny its practice, one who gave up the right to the clan's leadership for his own reasons.
This man is Kin.
From a young age, born as the sole heir to the clan, Kin was pushed by his relentless father to become a shinobi of great worth. Those who inherit the leadership of entire families must be the strongest out of them, after all, and the man was not intent on raising a weak child. Through what was either rigorous forced exercise, mind-straining lessons, or physical abuse to discourage failure, the young Kin was instilled with a single notion: "Strength, power, and success were everything."
Even at the Academy, it was all the boy strove for; friends were only made to ensure that Kin would succeed in his studies, while the rest of his time was spent training himself physically to ensure he was the strongest in his class. He was an elite by all means, a prodigy that would one day make a fine leader of the Hyagumo, and make his father proud.
At thirteen, the boy managed to graduate, though the very night of his becoming a Genin was marked by tragedy. Kin's father, who had been unknowingly ailed by a disease early in his son's childhood, died suddenly. In this spur of the moment, the boy was announced as heir to the clan's head, and thus the new leader of his people. However, Kin did not feel ready to accept the third eye of insight as he had not been properly prepared by his father, and in a panic, denied the position of leadership.
Such an outrage resulted in the clan shunning both he and his father's names, and another branch of the clan was made heir. Heartbroken and abandoned, Kin kept himself in solitude, outside of the required missions and duties that befell a Genin.
However deep he had sunk into the darkness, Kin held onto the words of his father. Power was everything. He had lost his chance at power, the power over an entire group of people, but this inspired a new goal within the young man.: though he could not be leader of the clan, he could become leader of the village.
And thus, while Kin abandoned the ways of the Hyagumo's traditions, he aimed towards becoming the Otokage.
This sparked a growth in the boy not seen since his days in the Academy; his skills were steel blades honed and sharpened daily to ensure he would stay at his strongest, and continually grow stronger. His personality, once reserved and focused, became a soft and calm mask hiding the darkness within. Just as his father had said, if power was everything, he would do anything to gain it.
During the year's latest Chunin exams, it was not unexpected that someone as conniving as Kin managed to graduate from the rank of Genin. Now just a rank away from being eligible for leadership, Kin will become an even greater snake in the grass to both friend and foe alike.
Kin, the boy who denied a birthright, would now be the man who sought to gain everything with his own strength.
Hyagumo Clan Hiden Being born within the Hyagumo clan meant that Kin was destined to learn of its secret techniques. These techniques involved infusing one's bodily fluids with a specialized chakra, which results in the creation of either a gum-like metal that can be hardened to steel-like qualities or a highly adhesive webbing akin to a spider's thread. Kin, while focusing in the art of physical combat as his priority, is exceptionally skilled in using his clan's techniques, being able to excrete sweat and saliva almost upon will with the use of his ninjutsu. When combined with his skill in the art of the fist or blade, the spider-like techniques of the Hyagumo make Kin a force to be reckoned with in close quarter combat.
Taijutsu Specialist From years of training his body to attain great power, Kin is now a Chunin of revered physical ability. Though fast and enduring in his actions in level with a taijutsu-specialized shinobi of his rank, none of his physical features measure up to the man's greatest trait: his strength. He has been seen capable of lifting and throwing another man with a single arm, while the combined forces of both could potentially hurl a small boulder with enough exertion. His strikes are given superb impact behind them, enough to crack away at iron and stone structures.
Summoning Contract: Spiders As do most Hyagumo clan members, Kin is in possession of a contract with massive spiders. These beasts, once called, will obey the man's every command, and are often deployed when numbers are needed to win a fight.
