After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
The Kokketsu [lit. 'Black Blood'] is a strange kekkei genkai, one whose origins predate the formation of the villages, though its actual use in the field of shinobi warfare has only been considerably noted within the last two centuries. As expected of its name, those born with its power possess plasma that is naturally a pitch black in color, bearing the same tone and consistency of ink. This is due to the body producing an excess of red blood cells, though in such thick masses, it appears black.
A most notable ability gained from such a biological abnormality is the increased rate at which this blood is generated; while normally a liter is created per hour in a healthy person, Kokketsu blood is generated nearly ten times as fast, being able to regenerate lost blood in a manner of minutes. This means that its owner's metabolism is incredibly high to recycle so much cellular mass, resulting in having an enormous appetite on top of needing plenty of water on a daily basis. On a side note, becoming intoxicated is nearly impossible given this severely heightened metabolism of theirs, a trait not often used.
Those who know well of their innate ability have found that this black blood's density makes it incredibly receptive to the user's chakra. Thus, with the use of specific Water Release techniques, one could theoretically control this blood as they would other liquids with the use of the elemental energy. Unlike water, however, this blood is capable of solidifying to incredibly degrees, mimicking the hardness of iron or steel on occasions. On top of this, there are many other traits concerning the use of their black blood, though overindulgence in the expulsion of their ichor could lead to incapacitation.
When weaponized by a master, the Kokketsu becomes a kekkei genkai of extreme danger; getting blood on oneself is a ticket for receiving great harm, making it difficult for an opponent to even attempt to spill the blood of their enemy, lest they risk injury.
KUROCHIGIRI NO JUTSU [BLACK BLOODY MIST TECHNIQUE] D-RANK || NINJUTSU || WATER || SHORT-MID RANGE || SUPPLEMENTARY
From an open wound, the user will force an expulsion of their black blood from their body. However, use of one's chakra forces the blood into a vaporous state, creating a streaming turret of black mist aiming to reach targets within ten meters. This does little more than lather whoever it reaches in black blood, though when aimed at once's face, it can blind an enemy of both their sight and their sense of smell--the strong scent of their vile ichor works well to mask all other scents. It otherwise can be released in less concentrated manner in order to form a small smokescreen-like veil of their black mist, one that lasts for several seconds to allow its user a form of escape.
ANYAIBA NO JUTSU [BLACK NIGHT BLADE TECHNIQUE] C-RANK || NINJUTSU || WATER || SHORT-MID RANGE || OFFENSIVE
From either blood spatters or the blood within their own body, the user can extend straight and hardened blades of their plasma, each possessing a hardness akin to iron and the sharpness to rend straight through flesh. The length of these blades can be described by the diameter of their spatter; a drop of blood would produce a drop's length of blood, while blood extended from the user's body could potentially reach as far as three meters in length. What makes this technique all the more dangerous is it's ability to be projected through the use of chakra, as its user can fire the blooded blades from their body as far as ten meters. Unfortunately, as this is their blood, it is not advised that the user fires incredible amounts or sizes at once. On top of this, one usually requires a wound for the blood to escape from, or otherwise the blades will simply excavate the user's flesh. This is easily solved by spilling blood beforehand.
KUROGYOKO NO JUTSU [BLACK COAGULATION TECHNIQUE] B-RANK || NINJUTSU || WATER || SHORT RANGE || DEFENSIVE
With an exertion of chakra, the user will increase the density of their already thick blood immensely to the point of steel-like durability. As their blood flows to and through every part of their body, this in turn increases the user's physical durability to the same intense level. This blood is only made more dense, however, as one should not harden the blood within their veins at the risk of their heart's well being. Basic blades break against the user's flesh, and even equally powerful blunt strikes will have their heavy impacts hampered to near negation. In short, the user becomes incredibly difficult to cause any physical damage to. However, as their blood is incredibly dense and resistant to movement, so too is the user's body; movement becomes incredibly difficult while under the jutsu's effects, as the user will have acquired a snail's pace.
SAISHUMEI NO JUTSU [DARK GATHERING TECHNIQUE] A-RANK || NINJUTSU || WATER || SHORT-LONG RANGE || OFFENSIVE
Arguably one of the most dangerous basic techniques of the Kokketsu bloodline, one that simply requires a target to be in contact with the user's blood. From drops to spatters, the user is still capable of manipulating their vile plasma to their whim. Thus, with a simple snap of the user's fingers, this blood will compact and compress itself to its highest degree. What results is the highly adhesive blood dragging the surrounding makeup of its adhered surface along with it during the compaction, more or less ripping entire chunks out of whatever has been spattered by the blood and crushing the pieces into dust. After the temporary implosion, the resulting dust will burst outward, revealing the newly left hole in whatever the user had targeted with their blood. The actual damage this can cause a person is dependent on the amount of blood they are in contact with; droplets will leave pits akin to bullet wounds in their targets, while large hand-sized spatters are capable of ripping holes straight through an iron wall--let alone a human body. This is considerably the most dangerous technique that can be in a Kokketsu owner's arsenal, as its use is as subtle as it is deadly, warding well-versed enemies from even attempting to draw the user's blood.
KOKKANSEN NO JUTSU [BLACK INFECTION TECHNIQUE] S-RANK || NINJUTSU || WATER || SHORT RANGE || SUPPLEMENTARY
The most deadly aspect of the Kokketsu bloodline is their blood's ability to not only adapt in other bloodstreams, but it's ability to assimilate other circulatory systems through the aid of its user's chakra. All one must do is place a small amount of their blood into the body of the target, as the black ichor will run through their veins. By constantly applying chakra for what would be several minutes, the blood will begin to multiply and spread within the marrow of its target, encouraging the production of black blood rather than the norm. This can be halted by either spilling a great amount of one's blood before it can take effect, or by stopping the user from continuing the process. However, as it spreads, the target will experience great pressure and pain within their veins and arteries. If uninterrupted, this will continue for several hours, from which the results will be a total conversion from normal red blood and into black blood. While nothing will especially change in the bodies of the infected, their blood will now be saturated in the user's chakra, allowing the user of the technique to manipulate the liquid within them as they would their own. However, skilled users of Water Release may eventually learn how to manipulate the blood for themselves, though such retaliation would only provide resistance to completely controlling the blood within them. The only true way to remove this vile ichor after being infected is to practically bleed oneself dry, just short of dying, as their body will eventually regenerate their natural blood in its place. However, doing so without aid or treatment from a medic during the process is nearly impossible, save for those who can survive reaching such vulnerable states.
