After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Hyōton release allows its users to create and manipulate ice. This ice is different from ice created by manipulating the temperature of normal water, as this ice is created from the user's chakra. This key difference makes ice created through the Hyōton release incredibly durable, and resistant to melting even from Katon jutsu of similar rank.
E RANK
Hyōton: Kōri no Sakusei [Ice Creation] E || Ninjutsu || Hyōton || N/A || Supplementary
This is the technique by which Hyōton users create their unique ice. The ice is extremely durable, and resistant to melting even from Katon jutsu of similar rank. The technique is a gateway jutsu, and used by itself without a form in mind will only result in a small ball of ice roughly the size of a baseball. This makes the jutsu alone relatively useless in battle, but allows it to be a great training method for younger Hyōton users.
The user creates several needles made from their frozen chakra. These needles function like normal senbon except for the fact that they chill the area they hit, numbing the tissue and slowing the enemy's reaction time. When used in assassinations the needles melt after a period, leaving behind no evidence the user was even there.
C RANK
Hyōton: Hyōgan Dōmu [Ice Release: Ice Rock Dome of Magnificent Nothingness] C || Ninjutsu || Hyōton || Close || Defensive
The user quickly freezes the surrounding air and creates an ice dome around his allies and himself to act as a defense. It is strong enough to withstand the assault of many explosive tags at once, remaining almost undamaged.
Hyōton: [Draining Touch] C || Ninjutsu || Hyōton || Close || Offensive
The user lowers the temperature of their palm to freezing and makes contact with an enemy. The contact will begin to sap the target's physical energy (not chakra) by way of thermodynamics. This technique does not use enough chakra to be able to freeze an enemy solid, however extended periods of being subjected to the jutsu can cause moderate frostbite.
This technique creates many tiny blades of ice in the air. The blades' density isn't quite thick enough to be considered a fog or mist, but there are enough to blur vision slightly due to reflection and refraction of light. The sharp particles hinder the enemy's movements by making numerous tiny, but painful incisions as they move. The blades can also be manipulated by the user to cut deeper into an enemy.
Hyōton: [Freezing Touch] B || Ninjutsu || Hyōton || Close || Offensive
The technique is performed in a similar manner to Draining Touch, however, the user also spreads their chakra onto the surface being touched and solidifies it. This results in whatever is touched being frozen on contact. The ice is thick, and cannot be broken easily, however once it is removed from the user's influence it is vulnerable to Katon jutsu.
The user creates a hollow column of ice around themselves to defend an incoming attack. Once contact is made the pillar bursts, sending it's sharp shards flying outward. This makes it a very dangerous technique to those outside the defense. The defense is not perfect as persistent techniques may still catch the user after the barrier shatters.
In its most common form, the user creates twenty-one mirrors made of ice surrounding the enemy. Twelve are at ground level, eight hover above those, angled toward the ground, and one hovers over those parallel to the ground. Once the user enters the mirrors, they can travel between them almost instantaneously. If the mirror containing the user is broken, they may still leap from the shard in order to continue their attacks. The technique uses a lot of chakra, making the jutsu unfit for long drawn out fights. As the user loses chakra they move progressively slower between mirrors, making the window of opportunity for a counter attack larger as the fight drags on. The user is not limited to the formation of twenty-one mirrors. Individual mirrors may be created, allowing some flexibility to the use of the technique.
Named after the frozen lake in the deepest pit of hell, this jutsu is only to be used when there is no option left and the enemy must be defeated. After a long string of hand seals the user begins transforming their physical being into ice. This ice forms itself around the target, until it completely encases them, freezing them away for an indefinite period. The ice itself is even more durable than the strongest hyōton technique, and is nigh immune to melting. As this jutsu consumes the user's physical being, those who dare utilize this jutsu face certain death and once started the process cannot be halted. Currently there is no known way to undo the effects of this technique.
