After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Stage: Outdoors
Features: Grass and earth, flat, vegetation with tall grass, bushes, and short 10-15ft trees. A medium pond on one side, and a forest a half kilometer away in one direction.
Relationship: Knowing eachother aside, the inhibitions of not wanting to hurt eachother is removed. You are both opponents, and you need to fight. Take this seriously.
Goal: Render your opponent incapable of continuing. Death is allowable, since none of this is canon. But let's not strive for killing, okay?

Two triangular ears were pointed stiffly forward, red eyes evaluating her opponent. Ringo was prepared for this battle, leather gear protecting her torso and extremities. Her thick tail was held at attention, motionlessly curled upward in anticipation of blood. Chiyoko had been off learning things without her. That was totally not fair. Her arms crossed over her chest. Just how much better had the kitty gotten? Ringo would just have to find out.

Chi had improved a lot while she was off visiting Yuu in Iwa; she was excited to prove to her friend that she was just as good as the wolfgirl. Before, she'd lagged behind Ringo, never as good or as able. But now? The cat felt confident she could keep up with her.
Tail fur fluffing out, teeth bared in a snarl (that wasn't intimidating or scary or vicious in the least, because it's Chi), she faced Ringo. "Don't you dare go easy on me, Ringo-chan. I'll never forgive you, y'know." Her new skills were untested in combat, and she was eager to try them out against an actual opponent. "I'm ready."

"Don't you dare go easy on me, Ringo-chan. I'll never forgive you, y'know."
Ringo smirked. That was a good look on the girl's face. She returned the gesture, baring her own pointed fangs in a growl, fur on the bridge of her tail bristling. From her thighs, she pulled one dagger in her left hand and three poison-dipped senbon in the other.
“Do I ever go easy on you, Chi-chan?”
From there she broke into a dash, tail whipping behind her. Eyes watching for the girl's first move to ensure she could dive out of the way, Ringo threw the three poisoned senbon, all aimed for the catgirl's chest.

As soon as Ringo threw the senbon, Chi swapped places with a large rock. There was no way she was going to let Ringo take her down that easily. Well. Not again, anyway.
She summoned two dozen bees and, with a silent command, sent them all to smack their fuzzy little bee bodies into Ringo. The wolf knew their stingers were dangerous - she'd knocked herself out with one when Chi had shown them to her - so hopefully the bees would preoccupy her for a little while.

Ringo shook her head in irritation at the sound of her senbon clanging with the rock that Chiyoko changed places with, red eyes scanning back and forth to locate the girl. Her breath caught when she saw the number of bees the catgirl had summoned; only one had been enough to put Ringo out. But that many? She retreated away to get an idea, but the bees were faster, and she yelped when they pelted her hide. Why they didn't sting, she didn't know, but it was still scaring her.
Doing the necessary handseals, Ringo formed earth around her fists and arms, swatting at the bees. The earth protected her arms from getting stung, and every bee that impacted the ground got crushed underfoot before she broke into a mad dash, aiming to bury one of her earth-encased fists right into a platinum-blonde skull. Ringo pretty easily dealt with her bees, crushing them under her feet. Her ears flattened against her head; she didn't like getting them killed, but... Right now she couldn't be concerned with that, because a rock-coated fist was coming straight for her. She dodged to the side and the rock smashed into her shoulder instead of her skull. She yowled and summoned another handful of bees, commanding them to shoot their stingers into the wolf as she backed away.

The fist didn't collide with the head as anticipated but there was still the satisfying impact when it connected with Chiyoko's shoulder, though the yowl made the wolf's ears ring. She pulled out of the throw when fresh buzzing met her ears instead of following up with another blow, skidding away on leather soles. Oh hell no, screw these bees. Ringo cracked the earth from her arms and flung the pieces at the bees, obstructing the majority of the flung stingers. Okay, bees bad, bees bad. Chi didn't seem to be able to control a large amount of them at once, but the wolf would need to step up her game if she was going to continue to avoid those stingers. Surging her chakra, she activated the cursed seal on the back of her neck. This sent black crescent-moon markings across her visible skin.
Ringo's fur bristled, her teeth grew longer, and her expression grew wilder with the release of the seal. She was more feral, faster, and had better reflexes. Fuck those bees, she wanted cat. Snarling her teeth, she charged again, dagger at the ready. She'd destroy at least one of Chi's hands so that the girl wouldn't be able to summon more of those wretched bees.

Chi hissed under her breath as Ringo's chakra surged and she activated the clan seal that made her more wolf-like and dangerous. This could get bad; the wolf was now faster than she was.
As the girl charged toward her, Chi made the seals for one of her favorite techniques and blew out a long stream of innocent-looking bubbles. The instant Ringo touched any of them, they would explode... and if she wanted to, she could detonate all of them with a click of her fingers.
Ringo was close enough to do some damage with that dagger now, and Chi pulled a kunai out of a pouch to parry the blade.

Ringo stared warily at the bubbles that flew in her direction, weaving around them. Her dagger clashed against Chi's and she raked the elongated claws of her free hand across the girl's face before moving back away to pull forth her second dagger. However, because she'd been focused on grabbing the second dagger, she had momentarily forgotten about the bubbles. Having never seen the bubbles before, Ringo didn't realize how dangerous they were, and she howled in fierce pain when she backed into one and it exploded. She was sent flying across the dirt and her dagger flew far from her hand, tears springing into angry eyes. Exploding bubbles?
The wolf's back stung as if she'd backed into a hot pipe or something, and she stood, keeping herself lower to the ground and baring her teeth. Thank god she'd chosen to wear the leather armor; some of her skin could have been blown off by that.
“My bad for underestimating you. Let's do this seriously.”
Doing handseals, the wolf thrust her hands into the ground. It began to rumble and churn under Chi until it swirled like whirlpools of rock and grass, swallowing up everything on the surface quickly. Jutsu Used: Doton: Retsudo Tenshou [Earth Release: Tearing Earth Turning Palm]

She yowled and lurched back as Ringo's claws raked across her face. The wolf was faster than she'd realized. Hearing the girl's own howl of pain, Chi clicked her fingers and detonated the rest of the bubbles.
Warily, she watched Ringo, wiping blood out of her eyes. The claw marks stung like hell, but she wasn't going to let 'em stop her from kicking the wolf's butt. The ground beneath her began to churn. Alarmed, the cat replaced herself with another rock, which was quickly swallowed by the technique.
In retaliation, the girl wove a long string of seals and sent a water dragon flying at Ringo.

The wolf's mouth fell agape when a serpentine creature was thrust forward at her. Where had Chiyoko been hiding this technique?! Holy hell. Ringo dove into the dirt, dust covering the black markings that coated her skin, narrowly avoiding the dragon but still getting drenched in the spray that accompanied. Rolling with the motion, the wolf tore out in a quadrupedal state. Her elongated fangs and teeth alone would make good weapons, and she'd barrel into Chi with everything she had, aiming for the face and the throat.

She trilled in satisfaction at the look on Ringo's face, guiding the water dragon after her with a vicious grin. The only bad thing about this was that her chakra was draining pretty swiftly; she didn't have the reserves to keep this up for much longer.
...In fact, she'd just about hit her limit, as the fact that the world was kind of spinning indicated. Chi saw Ringo's snarl and then the world went black. The catgirl had fallen unconscious right as the wolf pounced on top of her. Welp.

Ringo's full weight barreled into the much smaller catgirl, and the pair went into the ground. The wolf's fangs buried themselves into Chiyoko's neck, blood pooling inside Ringo's mouth. But, she was not met with struggle, not so much as a cry of pain even. Swallowing the coppery fluid she pulled back, staring at her opponent. Nothing. She was down. Poking the girl a couple times to be absolute sure, Ringo backed away and stood, releasing her seal. Glancing around the field, then back at the girl, she threw her arms up in victory.
