After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Without anyone tagging along for the search, Lien was worried that even if she finds the herbs her mother asked her to get, they will go bad until she was back with the clan. Being unable to do the even simplest thing- drying the plants, Lien felt the need of help. She could collect the herbs and then find a person to make medicine out of them. Yet, she was not sure if she was able to do so. An idea came to mind, a risky one, but she was ready to make the gamble. She would hire a person to join her quest. Rare and uncommon herbs are a good trade and have great value. Lien was sure that if she was to make the offer, some will sure want to have them.
The area she was meant to go to was the south of the outer ring of the Land of Earth. Easiest was to hire a shinobi from Iwagakure but knowing it's where the Kamizure clan is based, that was a bad idea. She would be dead even before she can get close to the village. She decided to make a request in a town out side of the land. A small town where the main road from the Land of Earth to the Land of Wind was placed seemed like a good option. There weren't many travelers and merchants using it anymore even though, it was still the best option.
taking her time she hang a massage on each of the town's billboards: [I know where to find some special herbs but not how to make them into medicine. Will be happy if anyone who is capable of doing so will join and assist me. Some of the finding will be given to the one who joins me. I might be generous and add a bonus if I'm happy will the results. Risk free journey that will last between 5 and 7 days. I would prefer traveling with a woman but men are also acceptable.
If you are interested in the offer or want more information, please come see me at the local inn.]
'That should probably do it.' She thought to herself making the decision of waiting for the next 3 days. If no one was to come looking for her during this time. She would remove all the papers and leave on her own. The day she will leave was the evening of the third day.
the afternoon of the third day came by and Lien was already getting restless. Her family needed those herbs. in just 2 hours she would be leaving. In one hour she would go around the town and remove her request. Seemed like there were not even one person interested in her journey. Or there simply wasn't a single person who could do the job. She packed her things, payed the owner of the inn for her stay took her final meal and sat by a table close to the fireplace. when it'll go dark, she'll let Tiarra out from her clock, but for now, she had no need in causing panic for the people around her. As she was having her meal and looking out side of the nearby window, a young man with a violet hair caught her eye. On his hat, she could see a red cross. 'Please be a medic looking for me... Please...' she prayed while looking as the young man was coming closer to the inn's door.

The loud whistle of the train made Yuu's ears ring. Even though he was barely at the halfway point home from Suna, he was glad to be off the locomotive. It wasn't that he didn't like trains, no, they were the most convenient of transportation. In days of old, shinobi had to walk to their destinations, no matter how far. It was a convenience he'd have to be crazy to dislike. It was just... riding in the coaches made him uncomfortable and sleepy, all in one go. It wasn't as if he had a set time to get back; he could detour at this small little town. He was hungry, anyway.
A bulliten board catching the attention of one violet eye caused him to stop in his quest for food, and Yuu backstepped to observe the papers pinned to it. Your general advertisements, wanted posters, help needed ads, but one caught his interest, and he pulled it off the board. I know where to find some special herbs but not how to make the, into medicine. Will be happy if anyone who is capable of doing so will join and assist me.
Yuu thought it over. It was quite easily within his capabilities. But a week-long trip was, well, long. He needed to return the desert herbs to the hospital at the village; they'd be useless after that long. But at the same time, whatever this client wanted to make could prove useful too, and it could be fun. Extra pocket change to boot too wouldn't hurt. Hastily folding the paper and pocketing it, Yuu wandered out of the station.
Locating a place that sold sandwiches, Yuu took one for the road, wandering and looking for where the inns may be. He wasn't especially familiar with this village, but what he really was looking for was a courier service. He easily had enough money to pay a courier to deliver the herbs to the village with a message, leaving him free to take on this job.
Asking a few locals got the job done, and with a note written, the herbs were sent off to Iwagakure, leaving the chuunin to do what he pleased. Withdrawing the folded paper again, Yuu scanned the words. Local inn... saying which inn may have been prudent, but instead he headed for the one closest to the bulliten board. Having provided a name on the paper may have been prudent as well. It didn't really matter though, and he came up to the inn, looking at the entrance. Now, it could have been a trap, but it would take a very special kind of stupid for someone to actually fall for a trap like that. Whoever set it up would know that, so it surely wasn't one. That in mind, he entered the main lobby, glancing around at the guests, many of whom were enjoying their dinner.
“Did anyone here put up a notice to collect herbs for medicine?”
WORD COUNT | 494 TAGS | Kumoro Lien ADDL. NOTES | Remember to capitalize the beginning of your sentences, dear. Also if this trip is taking 5-7 days I must assume the herb is in a very hard-to-reach place. XD
With every step the guy took to the door, Lien's hopes grew. Then he stopped and at this point she wanted to cry for getting her hopes so high. What are chances that this particular medic is there for her minuted before she was to give up? What happened next make her hopes raise much more once again- he entered not looking very sure.
“Did anyone here put up a notice to collect herbs for medicine?” the boy asked while looking around. The question made Lien so happy that she stood up from her chair but was unable to say a word. The owner of the inn pointed at her. "She's over there." he said without even looking up. After taking a deep breath she could speak.
"It would be me, you can call me Lien or which ever other way you prefer. Come join me if you want to know more details on my offer." she said and pointed at an empty seat by her table. Giving the stranger freedom of choice with the way he would refer to her could give her a way to see what kind of nature and personality he has. Looking at the owner she spoke again. "Sir, would you be so kind as to bring another meal?" she asked. Being friendly and offering to treat the stranger for dinner was hopefully give her some brownie points and help convincing him to join her. If not, the meal wasn't expensive and wouldn't hurt her wallet much. She wouldn't feel bad about it anyway since the guy who just came in looked like he had a long ride on the train and she knew how exhausting it could be. "It's my treat, i assure you the food is delicious." she told the boy.
She sat back down and picked up her bag. It was a good thing that her mother always gave her a small notebook will beautiful illustrations and basic information on the herbs she wanted to get. Lien usually found it unnecessary as she remembered the way they look and had nothing to do with all the rest but this time, she was happy having it. Lien took the notebook out and placed it on top of the table, right in the middle of it, then put her bag back on the floor.
Only now she looked up to take a good look at the guy who was standing in the middle of the room. He was much taller than she was, which wasn't surprising as she didn't even reach average. He had violet hair which she noticed earlier and got her attention. A bow on his back, meaning he at least knew how to use it. A useful skill as she rarely brought food with her and would prefer to get it herself on the way. His eyes were different colors. Violet and blue, an uncommon sight she never came across before. His clothes where simple and practical and he had Iwagakure forehead protector around his neck. Considering where she was, it was not to unexpected.

Yuu's gaze followed the owner's finger to the hooded figure eating at one of the tables. She looked excited to see him. How long had the notice been up?
"It would be me, you can call me Lien or which ever other way you prefer. Come join me if you want to know more details on my offer."
Yuu put his hand up when she requested the man bring another meal to the table.
“Just a lemonade, please, I ate on the way.”
"It's my treat, I assure you the food is delicious."
Yuu looked from the girl, to the owner, to the unfinished plate in front of her. Steak and potatoes, eh... Well, if she insisted...
“S'pose I can't refuse, then. Sure.”
The medic approached the cloaked girl. Pulling the recurve from his back, Yuu smiled politely at the girl, seating himself across from her and leaning the tall weapon against his chair. He observed her for a long moment. Those who wore hooded cloaks in places such as these were normally suspicious people. In an attempt to not stand out, those people usually stand out the most. On top of that, there was something about the girl that unsettled him. Either way, the polite expression never left Yuu's face. He'd already come to accept the job now. Turning down because of a bit of unease around a cloaked stranger would be silly; she'd not given him any reason to mistrust her. Yet.
“It's nice to meet you, Lien,” Yuu said, extending his hand in greeting across the table, “I'm Yuu. So tell me about your offer.”
WORD COUNT | 271 TAGS | Kumoro Lien ADDL. NOTES | I don't even know where the code messed up, so.
The Iwa medic accepted her offer to eat and sat across thhe table. At this point Lein ralaxed a bit.
"It's nice to meet you Lien, I'm Yuu. So, tell me about your offer." he said while offering his hand for a shake. Lien froze. It would be impolite to rwfuse the extended hand but if ahe takes it her venom would come out and cause a problem. Not knowing what to do she decided to go around it.
The girl lifted the notebook from the table and put it into the extwnded hand. "It is nice to meet you too. You can find the information about each and every herb I'm looking for inside. I belive you are familiar with most, if not all of them." she spoke hopping that the variety of uncommon and rare herbs would have him forgive her manners. Especially one herb at the end of the file, one that simply refuses to grow in greenhouses for an unknown reason. It is a rare seasonal plant growing in vert few places in the Land if Earth alone and is extremely uncomon on the market for being hard to work with. Lien knew how to find it and where it is most likely to grow but didn't know if she would be able to find it.
"Does anything on.my list interests you? As I pointed out in.the massage, I can find them, but this is where my skills end."
While she spoke, the owner of the inn brought Yuu his dinner and a big glass of cold pink lemonade made out of lwmon and strawberries. The man placed everything on the table and returned to thw counter without saying a word.

Yuu's fingers curled, hand retracting to take the offered notebook, a minute frown on his lips at the bypassed handshake.
"It is nice to meet you too. You can find the information about each and every herb I'm looking for inside. I believe you are familiar with most, if not all of them."
Yuu flipped through the notebook as she spoke. The book was hand-drawn, he could tell instantly, but the plants within were drawn realistically and colored beautifully as if carved by mother nature herself. He knew nearly every plant in the book, although some went by a different name. Nearing the end he came across a specific plant that was insanely difficult to obtain in Iwagakure, A fluffy green base of leaves with bright red petals, it would be easy to spot in bloom if one knew where they hid.
"Does anything on my list interest you? As I pointed out in the message, I can find them, but this is where my skills end."
“Yea,” Yuu said, dipping his head in thanks to the waiter and taking a sip of the pink lemonade. “I'll help you find those herbs.”
Locating a crop of this plant would prove beneficial to the village on a whole.

Lien was watching the young man carefully as he flipped the pages of her notebook. Pride filled her as she saw the look of wonder on his face when looking at the illustration. Her mother never failed to surprise with her drawings and the feeling was always as if you were looking at the real plant, out in the wild. The Crimson Daisy caught his attention. The fish was on the hook and the reeling could start now. It was a sensitive situation, if she does her negotiation properly, he's hers. but one small mistake and he'll drop the deal.
“Yea, I'll help you find those herbs.” he said while taking a sip from his drink. So apparently, having him come along was easier than she thought. All left is to make sure she does not scare him. Perhaps friendliness would buy his trust, even if a small part of it as he didn't seem to be to fond of her up until now.
"Interesting isn't it? The drink i mean. Lemon and strawberries, the kind of combination you'll a rise an eyebrow at but delicious nonetheless, don't you agree?" she asked returning to her meal. It got little cold but it didn't bother her. She was finally going to go on her way. Unless he wishes to stay the night at the inn. She waited for 3 days, she could wait a little more. "It's amassing to think that there is someone who wishes to take the deal. After 3 days of awaiting, I was about to remove the request after this dinner." she spoke as if to herself waiting for Yuu to join the conversation and hoping to get to know more about him before going out. At this moment she felt Tiarra shift under her scarf Something was making her uneasy. She would usually get like this when she is hungry, or there was something unsafe around. She couldn't be hungry after taking care of the mice at the inn. Must be the other thing. Could it be that the guy with the innocent face was dangerous? He didn't look like like that, yet he carried a bow and arrows. He was clearly a shinobi. Who knew better than her how looks can mislead people. She would need to keep an eye open for this guy.
"Interesting isn't it? The drink i mean. Lemon and strawberries, the kind of combination you'll a rise an eyebrow at but delicious nonetheless, don't you agree?"
Yuu paused as she spoke. It was either how-is-the-weather talk or I'm-badly-concealing-I-poisoned-your-drink talk. However, the antsy pleasure she seemed to show at him accepting, coupled with the “women preferred” note on the bulletin made him more inclined to believe she was more nervous than anything. Satisfied with that thought, he nodded in response, removing his hat. It was rude to wear it at the table after all, and he picked up his fork to begin eating.
"It's amazing to think that there is someone who wishes to take the deal. After 3 days of awaiting, I was about to remove the request after this dinner."
Yuu hummed, swallowing a bite of meat. It was good.
“It's a good thing I came passing through, then. It seems like an interesting job. When will we leave?”

She saw Yuu removing his hat and started feeling awkward. If she would have been far away from here, where the reputation of the Main Clan didn't matter, she might have done the same and removed her hood. In this town, which was dangerously close to Iwagakure is was a big no. Even the rumor of a Kumoro running around would start a man hunt after her. “It's a good thing I came passing through, then. It seems like an interesting job. When will we leave?” he said. Was it just her imagination or did he stiff for a moment before that? She had no choice but to clear any potential misunderstandings but she'll do it later, away from the town or at least in a place where they will be able to talk without causing mass panic.
"I'm glad to see it this way. We will be leaving right after dinner, unless you will insist to stay in the inn during the night." Lien spoke up and looked out of the window by the color of the sky and the sun starting to set she could tell there are about two and a half hours of day light before them. Bringing her eyes back to the shinobi and finishing her meal she spoke up ones again. "How well do you deal with foot traveling and camping? Oh, and spiders, big, very big spiders. Those are important." she spoke as if it didn't really matter. A calm expression on her face didn't shoe much but her eyes were serious. The travel will be done by foot- all of it. They will be camping outside during the journey. Tiarra can't stay in the scarf or under the hood all the time, she defiantly needs to hunt and help searching for things they might need. With every passing moment Tiara was growing more restless. She was bothered and wanted to get out side, or at least move to a more comfortable position. Lien gave her a silent signal to come down to the floor and get close to leg of the table. It was incredible how unnoticed she could move. Yuu would probably not know she was there until pointed out. Tiarra was fast, so with the smallest scream she'll get back into her hiding inside of Liens afire. His reaction would ether be hilarious, even if it might cause a small scandal, or he will prove being a good company to he way as he'll be able to restrain himself around unexpected encounters and events. Lien was not planing to tell him that her best friend is sitting beside his leg until after she gets her answer.
"Well, with this being said, I would like you to take a deep breath, calm your self, and meet my so called pet, Tiarra." a small movement towards his side on the table and the floor will not get to much attention from others and their table was an isolated one which would help as well in case something might go wrong.

"I'm glad to see it this way. We will be leaving right after dinner, unless you will insist to stay in the inn during the night."
Yuu looked out the window when Lien did, contemplating.
“It would be best to stay the night here and set off early in the morning.”
"How well do you deal with foot traveling and camping? Oh, and spiders, big, very big spiders. Those are important."
Camping was kind of... it wasn't as if Yuu didn't like camping. He liked it when he was alone or with people he trusted, but that wasn't always an option. He suddenly felt very aware of the tight leather vest he wore underneath his shirt. But the spider question was very oddly specific, and he tilted his head.
“Camping's not bad, but... what do spiders have to do with... It's not like they bother me, or anything.”
"Well, with this being said, I would like you to take a deep breath, calm your self, and meet my so called pet, Tiara."
A movement out of the corner of his eye caused Yuu to look down, and he his gaze was evenly met by a set of eight shiny black eyes mounted on a rather large, furry body. A tarantuala, by the looks of it. The fangs were so large that Yuu's breath caught in his throat. It wasn't as if Yuu was especially scared of spiders, no, but it appeared as though one bite from that thing could down a fleet. Not that you could really tell by looking at the face of a spider, but she didn't seem aggressive. With a nervous smile, he greeted the arachnid calmly.
“...Hello, Tiarra.” The boy didn't look very comfortable of sure of himself while greeting the extra large spider. His face looked like a large piece of potato got stuck on the way down. He reacted well, that Lien could give her. He was nervous, potentially slightly scared but no panic, no horror in his eyes. She was satisfied with such a reaction. Tiarra moved slightly from side to side in a swinging motion saying 'Hello' in her own way but there was something unnatural in her movement and she kept all of her eyes fixed on Yuu. "She says 'hello'. Looks like she doesn't trust you much but do not worry. Tiarra is a good and well behaved girl as long as you don't give her a reason to thing you're a threat to me. She might be friendly but she's slightly over protective you see." Lien told the Iwa medic. Slightly tapping a finger on the table to get the spiders attention and a gesture towards herself made Tiarra leave Yuu's side and come back to her. She climbed silently on the girl's leg into her cloak and then up all the way to the hood while being hidden by the fabric. When reaching her position a single thread of spider web fell on Lien's face and she tacked it behind her ear carefully making sure the hood doesn't revile the spider or her hair.
"I believe you can see why the question is so specific. If you would have panicked or couldn't control your reaction about her I wouldn't hire you. This proved me you are able to stay in control in unexpected situations and are not a coward." she spoke in a calm voice and a polite manner. "Last thing is that I need to point out that there will be no money price and we will be getting our supplies out there." as she spoke she was pointing her finger at the window, implying that the food they'll get will be what they find on the way and not things they ill bring with them. "Oh, and we'll be leaving with sunrise, so go to sleep early. I'll meet you here in the morning. Good night, sleep well, there's a long way before us." she said and stood up taking her empty dishes and returning them to the owner of the Inn. "I will be staying one more night, Sir and leaving very early. If you would leave us some bread and fruits for breakfast it'll be extremely kind of you." She said to the old man and paid him for both meals, the night and the bit of food for the morning.
After the payment was compete, she turned back to the table where Yuu was sitting. With his back to her she could clearly see what made Tiarra so 'itchy' earlier. On the back of his jacket, a black mark of a two circle one inside of the other. The mark of Iwagakure's Kamiziru clan. This was a problem, she will now have to be more careful then ever to hide the Kumoro trade marks- her hair and the change in her lips color in case she touches him by mistake. She then made her way back to the table to pick up the things she has left there. "I apologize for my impoliteness earlier. Please don't see me as a rude person, I just try to avoid any physical contact with men out of my own personal reasons. I request you to respect this part of me." She said while taking the notebook forgotten on the table and putting it back in the bag she left by her chair. Hanging the bag on her shoulder beneath her cover Lien added, "I'll go remove the 'wanted massages i posted around, good night ones more." With that being said she left for the door and gave him a 'see you latter' wave and went outside. She went by every point of the town where she posted her request and removed it. The circle took her about 40 minutes. When she came back to the inn, Yuu was no longer at the table. Letting out a small Yawn she went up to the room she rented being grateful for the additional night at the place. The room had a proper bed, a luxury she didn't came by very often and enjoyed very much. More than just that. Each room had it's own bathroom with a toilet. sink and a small bathtub. Nothing, simply nothing would stop her from having a nice warm bath filled with bubbles if she had the opportunity and that's just what she was going to do. The plan was simple, she'd spoil herself for tonight and get a great night's sleep before moving out in the morning, and this time, the issue of when ever she will have a partner with her would not bother her mind. True, Yuu was the exact reason she didn't dare go close to Iwagakure but so far, he has no clue of her origins and she was going to keep it this way.
After taking care of all she needed before sleep, she braided her hair making sure her antennas were well secured in the braids. It was uncomfortable and unpleasant due to the way they were growing and that the hair was different. It was a safety measure she felt was necessary and if someone was to wake her up during the night, she might forget to cover her hair if she's sleepy. The braids solved the problem as the color of the antennas and her hair was the same and there were safely hidden inside the braids. She dressed in her sleeping wear, which she had for such opportunities, and went to bed. "Good night sweetie." Lien told her little hairy friend. 'Sleep well.' came the response as the arachnid pushed the light switch with a long leg and the room became dark. Before drifting into the land of dreams Lien could feel her 8 legged friend crawl up the bed and position herself on the soft pillow.
"She says 'hello'. Looks like she doesn't trust you much but do not worry. Tiarra is a good and well behaved girl as long as you don't give her a reason to think you're a threat to me. She might be friendly but she's slightly over protective you see."
“I see.”
Larger-than-average animals weren't an anomaly in the shinobi world, Yuu himself had bees more than three meters long he could summon at will. You just... didn't usually see them as companions. Let alone ones that were giant spiders. That crawl up their human's body and face and into their hair. It must be nice to have a pet, though. Yuu loved animals and had always wanted a rat, but wasn't especially good at caring for pets. The mouse he'd kept as a child attested to that.
"I believe you can see why the question is so specific. If you would have panicked or couldn't control your reaction about her I wouldn't hire you. This proved me you are able to stay in control in unexpected situations and are not a coward."
Yuu wasn't sure if he should be happy about that or not. He was certainly not a coward, just logical. Usually. Perhaps he liked to stretch his logic a little thin at times. But nonetheless.
"Last thing is that I need to point out that there will be no money price and we will be getting our supplies out there."
“So we're hunting, too.”
It wasn't that Yuu couldn't hunt; he was probably a better hunter than most. The problem was that he couldn't do anything with the kill once he retrieved it. Skinning and gutting were completely different procedures than surgery, and assuming he did it right, he couldn't cook the meat properly anyway. He'd tried all of the above and had several experiences to back those claims up. So, presumably, she could do that much. At least better than he could, anyway.
. "Oh, and we'll be leaving with sunrise, so go to sleep early. I'll meet you here in the morning. Good night, sleep well, there's a long way before us."
Yuu watched as Lien rose with her dishes, nodding to acknowledge her departure from the table. Without conversation to distract him, the medic focused on finishing his meal, mildly surprised at how hungry he actually was. He wasn't especially tired, not with the nap on the train, but he had herbs to help that in his bag. It would be a long trip tomorrow, he reckoned.
"I apologize for my impoliteness earlier.” Yuu looked up to the girl when she returned. “Please don't see me as a rude person, I just try to avoid any physical contact with men out of my own personal reasons. I request you to respect this part of me."
Oh, she must mean about the handshake. Hives, maybe? Maybe she was afraid of cooties. It was amusing how many young shinobi still believed in that sort of thing. Either way, it wasn't that big of a deal, and considering Yuu's situation, felt a bit like a novelty.
“No touching,” he said, giving a lazy two-fingered salute, “I think I can abide by that.”
"I'll go remove the 'wanted' massages I posted around, good night once more."
“'Night!”
Finishing his dinner, Yuu collected his belongings, slinging the bow over his head and collecting his dishes to take to the dish return. Going up to the owner, Yuu frowned, digging through his bag to locate the wallet, which was significantly lighter than when he had left for Suna. Thankfully, counting the change procured enough money to allow him to stay the night. He hadn't planned on making any stops outside of the train fare, so it was a miracle he still had enough cash. Hunting would have been the way to go, that or a vegetarian's diet of herbs and berries. Either way.
The inn was quaint, in its own little way. The building was wooden. Many of Iwa's buildings were made of a type of earth or stone. Yuu liked wood better; the small home he had was wooden, as were many in the Kamizuru compound. The bed was soft, the lamp was bright. It was good enough. A bathroom too, to boot. A nice shower to get the remnant's of Suna's sand out would be a fabulous way to end the day. Ensuring the door was properly locked, Yuu dropped his bag on the chair on the corner, bow and quiver coming off, followed by hip pouch and thigh holster, Iwa headband around his neck coming off next.
Yuu rarely undressed in the bathroom, if possible. He didn't like mirrors. His reflection, mostly, not the mirror itself. Each layer that came off expressed the curves he didn't like having. Jacket, flak, tank, vest, and bindings, even though he was used to them now, it was still an easier breath when his chest wasn't bound so tightly. The medic absolutely hated the fact he was born a woman, but it was something that couldn't be changed, no matter what kind of cosmetic procedure was done. Pain of surgery recovery just wasn't worth trying to cover up a fact that could not be changed, not when the right clothes would achieve the same effect. Either option left him with a secret to reveal to any future lover and inability to reproduce in a preferred way, so there wasn't much point.
A full belly and a hot shower proved as effective as a hot tea would, and once Yuu was sure no more sand so much as existed anymore, he started getting ready for bed, doublechecking the lock on the door and pulling on shorts and a tank. Crashing into the pillows, he thought about how the next week or so would be. Traveling through wilderness with other people, outside of his old teammates or family, was taxing. Too many secrets to be kept. This stranger, especially, wasn't a comrade. He knew nothing about her, aside from having a large pet spider. Not much about her gave off cause for alarm, and all she wanted was help with a simple task. Being suspicious without cause wasn't Yuu's style, he didn't know what made him wary about this girl.
Turning over, he let his mind wander as he drifted to sleep, forgetting what he was even thinking about to begin with. The irritating chirp of the alarm clock ensured he wouldn't remember, either. It was still dark when he arose, but he'd had more than enough sleep. Taking a half hour to complete morning activities, Yuu was more or less ready to start this adventure, hoping the basket of food mentioned the night before would be in his lovely companion's arms when he exited the inn to greet her.

Lien woke up feeling pinch on her cheek. Tiarra was hungry. The flies and mosquitoes that entered through the open window during the night were not enough to satisfy her, she was a big girl after all. The pinch wasn't a painful one nor one that meant Tiarra will be eating a part of her. Only that she was hungry and wanted to inform her master she was leaving. Lien rose up and looked at the time. She was grateful that the clock beside her bed was digital and she could see what hour it was even when its dark. Out in the wild she could tell by the sky, the position of the sun and start told her that.
It was 4 in tho morning. There was an hour and a half before sun rise. It was perfect. She sent her little friend hunting and Tiarra left from the window. Taking a quick cold shower to wake herself up and then going over all of her equipment ones again she was ready. She had a map of the land of earth to help her in the search. The map will be also useful as she will mark the locations with needed herbs for future use.
Everything was ready, Lien was dressed up and ready to go. Opening the door from her room she was met with the smell of freshly baked break. The owner's wife was getting up before the birds to bake bread and other treats so it will be ready before the first train which came around 5:30 am. Walking down the stairs to the ground level the smell only got stronger. Soon she saw two baskets covered with a kitchen towel on a table placed in the middle of the room. The air was chili and it looking out side where the sun was only starting to come up she saw puddles. It was raining outside and explains ever better why Tiarra was hungry so early, perhaps there were no flies or mosquitoes for her to eat during the night. Lien sat by the table and uncovered the baskets. Fresh rolls, ordinary simple ones and raisin ones. four of each kind. Lien smiled, the raisin rolls the old lady was making were famous around the small town and she saw the long line of people each morning waiting to get those rolls. Uncovering the second basket she found strawberries, peaches and apples. This would do as a very fine breakfast.
As she took one raisin roll, Lien saw the owner's wife aproaching her with jar of fresh milk."You're leaving now, aren't you? My husband told me you found a partner yesturday. I'm glad. You're a good girl, I thank you for cleaning the place feom the rodents that were ruining our kitchen and home you will come again in the future." The old lady said. "Thank you." Lien replied and poured herself a glass of milk. At that time she saw Yuu coming down to the lobby from his room and waved to him not saying anything as het mouth was filled with fresh rolls and milk.

Spotting his partner, Yuu descended the short group of stairs from the hall, the tip of his bow clacking on the rail of the steps as he turned the corner. He waved at Lien in response to her own greeting, coming up to her. The basket was large, and Yuu reached for one of the plain rolls before drawing his hand back, looking up to the red-headed girl. Manners, Yuu, manners. Food does not mean letting yourself forget manners.
“Good morning, Lien. May I have some?”

"]“Good morning, Lien. May I have some?” Yuu asked after taking a roll. Lien giggled, this was interesting and he looked hungry.
"Help yourself! every thing you see here is for both of us. You get two of each roll." she spoke and took put a strawberry in her mouth. They were fresh and sweet, a great source of sugar to fuel her up. It took her about 15 minutes to finish her breakfast after which she covered her face with her scarf and waited for Yuu to finish his. She got up from the table, picked her belongings and headed to the door. before exit she looked back making sure the boy was following. "Let's go." She said and went out.
The sun rose while they were eating but the air was still cool and there were plenty of small puddles on the streets. Tiarra was waiting outside the inn, when the two human beings came out she climbed on top of her master and took her place under the hood. Lien headed to in the direction of Iwagakure. One hour of walk and there were already entered the Land of Earth. At this point Lien took out her map and looked at it closely then returned it to the bag and continued walking.
"We will soon reach a small river and follow it on our way. That was we will have all the water we need and food will be easier to find. One of the herbs I is a water plant so it'll help searching for it as well." the orange haired girl told her companion.
