After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.

Today was finally clearance day. Even though she said that, the boy had only been in detainment since the night before. She'd put in good word for him and even offered to be his babysitter for the duration of his stay. Her chubby black lion trotted behind her as she went to the detainment center to collect her prize. Hopefully he'd be a good boy and not run off, though she had faith in the fact he would be smarter than to do that within a foreign shinobi village where he could be swarmed instantly.
“Wolfy-kun~” she called once she was in the cell hold. “Where are you? I've got a surprise for you~”
In the hand that didn't hold the key to his cell was a candybar—the same kind she'd gotten him the day before. Nothing like starting the day off well with a peace offering.

Two days and he was already sick of this goddamn prison. To make matters worse today was supposed to be the day that "she" would come to pick him up from his interrogators. Of all people she was pretty persistent to see him again, if it was anyone else Okami could probably make a quick getaway from this whole village. Speak of the devil he soon heard her further down the room, great. "Yo, over here! Mind letting me out now? I could use some some fresh air, and some food too. They sorta ate in front of me earlier just to piss me off and break me. Didn't work by the way."

"Yo, over here!” Two sets of blue eyes locked in on the cell with the blonde in it, "Mind letting me out now? I could use some some fresh air, and some food too. They sorta ate in front of me earlier just to piss me off and break me. Didn't work by the way."
The woman smirked, Rasta coming up to push his muzzle through the cage bars. Unlike most jails, these cells had some walls for privacy, but at the same time they were monitored and barricaded so that ninjutsu couldn't be used and they couldn't be broken out of from the inside. It was the thought that counts, really. She pushed the key into the lock, pulling the door open and entering to put an arm around the male and guide him out the door, passing off the candy bar.
“We can get some lunch then. Rasta's been telling me he wants a beef bowl. How does a beef bowl sound to you, kid?”
Rasta huffed for being blamed for his master's tastes, but did not otherwise complain. Beef was good.

As the cell doors opened and he felt the arm of the woman wrap around his he just snatched the chocolate away from her and stuffed it into his pocket for later. With a glare he listened to her talk about wanting to get something to eat, he was hungry and it would get him out of this god awful jail. "Yeah I could go for some beef. I'm fucking starving, so I guess your gonna pay for it all? The guards kinda took my wallet and the rest of my savings with it." Well not really, he just forget it back in Iwa, but at least he would be treated to a free meal. "So be honest, how much longer are you going to make me your prisoner?"

Rin raised a brow when the male shoved the candy bar into his pocket.
“That'll be quite a mess if you let it melt,” she commented.
"Yeah I could go for some beef. I'm fucking starving, so I guess you're gonna pay for it all? The guards kinda took my wallet and the rest of my savings with it."
She looked him over. He was being released from detainment technically, so she could probably get his stuff back.
“'Course I'm paying. That's how offers work. For me, anyway.”
Dipping her hand into her kunai pouch, Rin withdrew a single paper bomb.
"So be honest, how much longer are you going to make me your prisoner?"
Palming the paper bomb, Rin grabbed Okami's dominant wrist, sealing it to his skin with a bracelet of crystal.
“Depends on how cute you are, Wolfy-kun. Don't take off now; there are barriers around the village that'll detonate this if you try to leave.”
The restaurant she had in mind was a bit far, but with a bomb strapped to his wrist (her threat was a bullshit lie, but as far as he knew, it was true), Rin doubted he'd take off, and therefore felt no need to hang on to him once they left the prison. The little lion trotted along, taking the time to sniff at the Iwa shinobi's pants. The blonde did smell different. When they reached the restaurant, she held the door open for him.
“Strangers first~”
Once inside, they were seated shortly and given menues.
“Order what you want,” she said, “But go easy on my wallet.”

She did not seriously just tag him with a fucking paper bomb did she? Looking at it through the crystal veil the tag did seem pretty legit. Plus he wouldn't put it past her to actually try something crazy like this, he was a crystal user himself and he knew how deadly he could be with his own Kekkei Genkai. At least it was better than being handcuffed, well it really wasn't, but at least he had free use of his hands again.
As they came to the restaurant Okami looked at the menu while casting constant glances to Rin and her pet, he could escape here, disappear into the crowd of other hungry customers. "I'll have....the beef bowl. And a large water. That alright with you Miss?" He questioned as he turned his head to meet her eyes with his which were filled with a fake innocence.

Rin kept an eye on her company as they looked at the menu. His gaze seemed more attached to the cuff around his wrist and the people in the crowd than the words on the laminated page.
“It's real, boy. I don't waste my energy on petty tricks. May as well try to enjoy yourself here while you can. No one's gonna bother you and we don't want any casualties if you start trouble, do we?”
She gave a perky smile, grinning down to her chubby black lion.
"I'll have....the beef bowl. And a large water. That alright with you Miss?"
The diminutive girl wrinkled her nose.
“That makes me sound old. Just call me 'Rin', Wolfy-kun.”
When the waiter arrive she placed her order, three beef bowls, an empty bowl, two glasses of water, and a grape soda. Rasta and the waiter has something of a staredown before he left saying he'd be back shortly with the drinks.
“You've already been drilled, I'm sure, but I'm curious. What brought you to Hi no Kuni?”

Thinking about it again trying to get away now would be pretty stupid, it was her bomb, she could detonate it whenever. Of course in a public place she probably would want to avoid that, but having a crystal bracelet around his arm was already suspicious enough. Still it was probably for the best that he didn't risk it. He still needed that arm anyway.
As they were seated at the table he was quickly asked by her about his being in this country, oh wonderful more interrogation. "Why does anyone send a shinobi anywhere? To spy, collect information, assasinate someone. It shouldn't be too hard to figure out, your one too after all. But if you want specifics I came here on a job to ease drop on some people. Simple as that. Never got to do that though since you intercepted me before I could reach the place I was suppose to go to."

Rin observed the blonde male as he spoke. The answer seemed rehearsed. Frankly he didn't seem the type to be a good spy, but hey, can't judge a book by its cover. She wasn't surprised that she'd intercepted his job. But he'd come into her territory and hadn't been a very obedient puppy.
“So on a scale of one to ten, how much trouble do you think you'll be in when you get home?” she asked Okami with a sly grin.

The waiter came by with their drinks and Okami grabbed his water and sipped some. If he didn't have to worry about the bomb on his arm he could use this water as a sort of distraction, but no, he had the play the good prisoner if he wanted to keep it. "Well...I'd say a nine. How about you, I bet you get one hell of a raise by managing to capture me am I right? Its not everyday you capture a shinobi crossing the border huh?"

The snowy-haired girl smiled, twirling the ice in her drink with a straw.
“Don't you worry about my paycheck now. You've got other things you should be worried about. After we eat I'm taking you to Training Ground nine. Rather wide area without much cover. Will be a good place to start training, yeah?”
Rin was feeling a little attached to this guy, though she couldn't quite put her finger on why. Perhaps she could get a note or something to send home with him so he didn't get into too much trouble. Depends on what the interrogators had to say; she would talk to them later when Okami-kun was returned to his cell this evening.

The food that they ordered had finally come as Rin was giving Okami her answer as well as sharing her plan for him afterwards, one that made Okami raise an eyebrow. "Training field? Oh yeah didn't you say something about showing me some of that cool crystal jutsu you came up with? Didn't think you'd still want to teach a criminal like me." Sarcasm laced his words as he began to dig into his beef bowl with gusto and a look of calmness on his face. No way was he gonna give her the satisfaction of breaking him even after he had spent time in the slammer.

Rin thanked the server kindly when the food arrived, setting one bowl on the ground for Rasta to eat from. Taking another sip of her purple drink, her blue eyes met the ones of the foreigner across the table.
"Training field? Oh yeah didn't you say something about showing me some of that cool crystal jutsu you came up with? Didn't think you'd still want to teach a criminal like me."
Rin chewed her meal slowly and thoughtfully.
“We're shinobi. On opposite sides we seem like criminals to eachother, but we're both really just doing the jobs assigned to us. That doesn't make you a criminal, it makes you diligent. I really don't care where you're from, Wolfy-kun, I just want to spend some time with you.”
The lion on the ground made a lot of huffing and snarling sounds as he ate, sounds of satisfaction at his meal. It wasn't often Rin let him eat people food at a restaurant, and he was going to relish every bit of it. Licking gravy from his muzzle, Rasta looked back up to his partner and grunted to display his satisfaction.

"Hm, never really saw it that way. In some other life we might be enjoying lunch like this 'cept as friends and not wondering if the other is gonna try some funny business." The wolf boy said as he took about large bite out of his beef bowl, "And its Okami, only my friends, best friends, get to call me that." Not that he wasn't used to those sort of nicknames, he just found it a little demeaning in this particular situation. "So, I don't think I ever caught your name Miss Crystal Sculptor, as well as the name of your...pet down there." He stated, tilting his head towards Rasta as he finished the last of his beef bowl, his gut feeling stuffed and ready to burn off calories in some action.

"Hm, never really saw it that way. In some other life we might be enjoying lunch like this 'cept as friends and not wondering if the other is gonna try some funny business."
Rin swallowed a bite of beefy rice thoughtfully.
“Every friendship starts with hello. I know you're smarter than to try something, and if I was going to hurt you, I'd have done it out in the bush where I'd found you.”
"And its Okami, only my friends, best friends, get to call me that. So, I don't think I ever caught your name Miss Crystal Sculptor, as well as the name of your...pet down there."
“While 'Miss Crystal Sculptor' has quite the ring to it, it's a mouthful. Hello, Okami-kun. I'm Rin, and my partner is Rasta.”
Rin was the slowest of the three to finish her meal. What was it with boys and their need to wolf down their food? Leaning down, she retrieved the lion's dish and set it on the table. Standing, she laid money down on the table, enough to cover the bill and tip the server.
“Let's head out then, shall we? ”
Making sure the boy was following her, Rin headed out. The street wasn't too crowded, which was good. Forming handseals, Rin created a massive crystal panther, similar in size to the wolf she'd hunted Okami down with. It was smaller, though, and would carry the three of them nicely. It stood inanimate in the street and she scooped up Rasta, mounting the crystal creature behind the shoulders. Holding a hand out to her company, she grinned.
“If we're gonna go crystal training, let's do it in style.”
