After the Fourth Great Shinobi World War ended, the world was experiencing a time of peace. The villages for once were able to live in relative harmony with one another as they rebuilt, and for once, all seemed to be well. The kage were able to live peaceful lives and soon began retiring, passing on the baton to the next generations. That is until an unknown virus infects the northern coast. The first to fall is the once powerful Raikage, Ay. While many thought this virus was a simple mutation of what may have well been the flu, no one would ever think of the destruction it would cause. Especially when it infected a certain Uzumaki Naruto.
With his death came the malice; with the malice came the destruction; with the destruction came the shinobi' revolt; and with the revolt came the sacrifices. The Bijuu became filled with malice that they sought to destroy the world. Shinobi sought a way to fight them and once again capture each of the Bijuu. Time passed, and a plan was devised. The Jinchuuriki would be sacrificed for the greater good of the world, and with the deaths of nine individuals, an uneasy peace began.
As time continued, the villages began to truly restructure. In a peace that would last 80 years after the downfall of the Bijuu, the world would see the creation of a great many things. Technology was beginning to take root and before long the blossoms that grew from the tree of the advanced mind would bear fruit. A many great things came to be. A railroad between the vast many nations. Mechanical limbs to replace lost ones. Radios that could reach between villages. Everything seemed to be becoming less reliant on the shinobi. Only the need for them never truly vanished. As with the growth of time, also continued the growth of malice.
Features: A grassy plain. Few obstacles to hide behind or trip over aside from large rocks embedded in the earth. It's the middle of the day but cloudy; there might be a chance of rain. Nearby is a small knee-deep river that cuts through the earth flowing to the south. On the opposite side of the river, about 100 yards out, an outcropping littered with trees springs up, marking the start of a sparse woods.
Relationship: Best friends and most recently admitted feelings for each other as well as acted upon them. They know each other's fighting styles, so discounting new jutsu, it will be difficult for either one to catch the other off-guard. The limiter of "not wanting to hurt one another" is removed here, of course.
Goal: Fight until one side is incapable of continuing. This can be death, incapacitation, knock someone out, or make someone incapable of moving, therefore fighting.

A fight, huh? Okami had boasted about learning some new tricks, and Yuu had learned a few new ones of his own. So, he wanted to fight and put those skills to the test. His belongings were set aside by a tall rock, and he carried his quiver on his back and his longbow in his hand. He had other weapons, of course, but he wouldn't be reduced to them too quickly. He hoped.
Once both sides were ready, Yuu quickly grabbed a green-fletched arrow and fired it at Okami's chest after taking a moment to charge it. If that wasn't interrupted, Yuu would take the chance to summon several hundred of his suzumebachi bees.
This means his bow can take a lot of physical stress that it normally wouldn't be able to before it breaks. A barbed arrow was shot. On impact it will embed into the flesh and it will not be able to be pulled out without causing massive damage. The seal was a sleeping seal, which will make Okami fall unconscious within a minute.

Well here they were, each at opposite ends of the field and Yuu was the first to strike. A simple arrow, despite Yuu's seals on it, that Okami had learned from many years of his friend trying to snipe him at times. He rolled to the right, diving towards the ground to make himself smaller as the arrow passed by over head. That was when he saw them, the monstrosities known as bees that Yuu had much experience with taming, time to fight quantity with quantity.
Drawing a single shuriken from his pouch the blonde threw it at the Kamizuru and completed some hand signs instantly. The shuriken flickered for an instant before many others flickered into existence and rained down upon Yuu and his insects.

Yuu dodged to the side when he saw the shuriken coming towards him, only to curse aloud when it multiplied into many. Since when did Okami know how to do that? Slinging the bow by its string off his arm, he ran through the seals for Earth Shore Return, raising a wall of earth in time for the shuriken—shadow and real—to embed into the hard surface. Yuu dropped to a crouch behind it, back to the wall. The shuriken that didn't hit the wall shredded through some of his bees, severed bodies falling to the ground. He considered using Mudhole, but Okami was familiar with that technique and a ranged fighter, it wouldn't do much good. So, just play on the wolf's fears. Directing his bees, Yuu sent them towards the blonde. Jumping on the wall the archer had another green arrow nocked and ready to fire along with the stingers of the bees. Fight quantity with quantity, yeah? He fired.
All bees are capable of creating wax and honey internally, but the honey of this species is not edible and is instead adhesive and better suited as glue. Only the females are capable of shooting their stingers in attack (although this will kill them), however both sexes are toxic and can sting multiple times with their straight stingers. The toxins put the victim to sleep relatively quickly and the victim is incapable of waking until the toxins run their course. How fast the victim sleeps depends on how many stings received, but rarely are there fewer than 100 bees summoned; the number is generally much, much higher.
Two of the three arrows have wax seals on them. Okami should know the difference in the colors but he won't be able to tell what seal is in effect. Blue is straight shaft—means it's pointy but has no head, like a sharpened pencil. Green is a barbed arrow—This means it's got a triangle head with points that face backward so that it can't be pulled out. Red is a broadhead—it's got blades on it and will shred you terribly if they hit, and they don't have seals on them.

A blonde eyebrow arched when Yuu brought up a wall of earth to protect himself. Guess the Kamizuru really did learn some new tricks, but it wasn't like one small defensive wall was going to protect him. Another hand seal went up, a single one that in a puff of smoke created two clones of Okami who did similar handsigns while the original weaved his own. Soon a dome of crystal formed around the original Okami while the two clones cupped their hands around their mouths and unleashed a torrent of water at the oncoming bees and arrows, no way he was going to overwhelm him with those tricks and evil bugs.

When Yuu saw the two clones form, he fell back behind the wall. When the water impacted it, many bees were washed up, several writhing in the water to get their bearings. The wall he hid behind shuddered and crumbled partially, soaking Yuu in spray. He saw crystal before hiding from the clones, Okami hid himself in his little dome like a turtle again. That meant Yuu had to figure out how to dispatch of the two clones who—wait they used water not crystal. Those weren't crystal clones?
Putting his thumb in his palm, Yuu summoned more bees, putting a lot of chakra into summoning tenfold of what he had before, not including the survivors who took flight from the water. Using a normal bunshin technique, the medic hid mass clusters of bees inside of the intangible clones and left his destroyed defense. The clone on the right he aimed for, a blue-fletched arrow aimed directly for its heart. The buzzing traps he'd sent for the clone on the left were lacking a bow and Yuu knew the mutt would pick up on that detail; but it was a matter of getting the bees closer to attack and get rid of that other clone.

His counter plan had worked and soon the bees and arrows were all swept away along with Yuu's little earth wall. He would have to act fast to make sure he didn't get the chance to regain his composure and launch a counter attack on the wolf. He and the clones weaved hand signs, each different before slamming their hands onto the ground as they saw Yuu and clones of him coming right at them. However Yuu was as quick as ever on the draw and an arrow punctured the heart of one of the wolf's clones and disappeared in a cloud of smoke, not losing focus because of it however a combination of spears of rock and thorns of crystal erupted from the ground with the thorns heading for the clones and their feet to impede their movement, and the spears heading for the real Yuu. Did he think he wouldn't notice the lack of bows on the clones? There was no way Yuu would make some if he wasn't adding covering fire, there had to be a motive behind it all and Okami was going to find out what it was.

The earth spears were a technique that Yuu knew well; he himself used it. He knew the technique's range, but he also knew that the blonde had an absurd amount of chakra. What Okami didn't have, however, was control. So when a large spear chalked up in front of Yuu's face, he used his bow to collide with the earth and push himself to the side and out of the path of the spikes. It had range but not width, and only went in a straight line. Landing heavily on the ground, the emdic rolled to get away from the protruding spikes before scraping himself to his feet with a grunt, holding the bow horizontally to run alongside the static spires as cover.
Meanwhile on the other side, the intangible clones were met with thorns of crystal. Because they could not collide with it, they were not slowed, but they instead flickered and phased out of existance. But, in their place, were highly condensed swarms of bees that had been hiding behind the illusions' shapes. Explosivly, they surged forward on the exposed clone, one-inch stingers all extended to spear the poor thing until it couldn't take amy more pain. But there were many, many bees, and the true target had not been the clone, but instead the crystal dome the original protected himself in.
Could the suzumebachi damage the crystal? Hell no. But by landing on the surface and clumping together in sheer numbers, they could obscure Okami's sight on what was happening outside. Yuu knew Okami was aware that the Kamizuru couldn't damage the shell, but that didn't mean the medic didn't have other tricks up his sleeve. Running through a string of handseals, the archer decided to fight fire with fire. Slamming his hands on the ground, he sent his own wave of spikes directly at the crystal from point-blank range. The crystal was just a cap, so the spires should continue going right underneath it and onward. Right underneath the blonde who was inside.

If there was one thing that Okami hated about fighting Yuu was that the two of them knew each other's moves, they even had similar jutsu! Which made Yuu dodging his earth spears all that non-surprising. Another troublesome trait of Yuu was his bees who swarmed the remaining clone and put him out of his misery, and he was such a good looking clone too. Once the bees were done with the clone they gathered around the crystal bubble, just as a spear of rock punctured and more erupted from the unprotected ground beneath Okami's feet.
"Shit!" He was barely quick enough to move his arms and legs out of the way of the spikes that came from the ground, some just nicking his arms and legs but not badly enough to cease their function. "You and these fucking bees." the blonde mumbled as he weaved more hand signs and created three clones, one who rushed towards Yuu with a kunai drawn and lunged towards the medic and the others spewing more water from their mouths to wash off the bees.

The medic's teeth grit when new clones were made. Yuu didn't know the specifics of this kind of clone, but he knew Okami had enough power to make them endlessly. There was angry, garbled buzzing as two of the three clones sprayed the bees, but the number of them was too great, and they stung their attackers in retaliation. If the mutt wanted to stop the insects, he needed to actually kill them. The best he did was get the bees wet and sprawling on the ground.
However the bigger problem was the large frame of another Okami lunged right at him. Yuu gripped his bow and swung it like a bat. The dark mahogany cracked into a blonde skull at the same time the clone's weapon slashed across the archer's bracer. Since his last spar he'd gotten new ones that couldn't be stabbed through so easily, and metal ribbing was exposed when the outer leather was sheared away. The tip still embedded into his left arm, but a lot of damage was negated.
While Yuu handled that, bees that had been swept up in water flowed helplessly in little pools that flowed around the mangled earth. Many found themselves leaking against the spikes the Kamizuru had made, into a gap underneath the wolf's protective dome. Rightning themselves, they locked onto the scent of the target and released scent signals that drew the other Suzumebachi to the gap and into the dome. Because they were crawling on the ground, a significant amount would get inside before they took flight and started buzzing to bring attention to themselves.

These bees were merciless, and despite their best efforts the clones were swarmed with them once again and stung to their end. Good thing Okami had plenty of chakra to spare, only problem now was figuring out a way to kill all of them in one swoop, if only he had been born with Katon or Raiton chakra. Instead he could probably encase them in crystal if he was quick enough. Speaking of bees the blonde lowered his head to think and sigh when he saw some of the wet bees climb out from under the ground. "YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME!"
He canceled the crystal barrier around himself as it shattered into smaller pieces and he quickly threw two kunai with explosive tags into the spikes as he disappeared into a puff of smoke and far away from the explosion that ensued shortly after, taking the bees with it.

"YOU GOTTA BE SHITTING ME!"
Yuu would be lying if he said Okami's yell wasn't satisfying. But, he didn't have a chance to enjoy it. He wasn't fast enough to avoid the explosion from the kunai's tags and was thrown back, bow skidding from his fingers and across the ground. A few arrows spilled from his quiver as he righted himself, but now wasn't the time to worry about that. He needed to keep his eyes on the wolf. Giving the needed handseals, the Kamizuru pulsed his chakra outward to his bees, where they forcefully engorged themselves with the sticky honey. From there, he sent them after the wolf again. Once Okami was occupied he'd grab his bow.

The explosion seemed to work somewhat, he could see some of the bees fall to the ground engulfed in flames, but it wasn't all of them, there was always way too many of them. As he reappeared behind the remains of the explosion he was too slow to see the honey come at him and hit him right in the feet, keeping him in place as he hear the buzzing of more bees as they were summoned. "You gotta be kidding me!" His voice was filled with terror and his mind was quick to weave the signs of his crystal thorns jutsu as they sprouted up around Okami to form a thorny coccoon around him while he tried to pull his feet out of the honey, he could probably lick it off...but that would take too long!

Even if nothing else had been working, the bees managed to tag Okami with the honey, continuing to spit it at him until he erected the nest of pink thorns around himself. It wasn't a solid dome like the crystal fruit was, that made it a lot easier to breach. But with the honey, Yuu knew he had Okami stuck. At least, for a few minutes anyway. He wanted to get back at him for being exploded. Telling the bees to crawl in through the cracks, they slowly filled the area where the wolf was hiding himself. However, no order was issued to attack, so they'd lazily crawl about. Okami knew what sort of movements would cause the bees to sting on their own. Retrieving his bow from the ground, Yuu fished one of the red broadhead arrows that had spilled on the ground with his fall. Pulling an explosive tag from one of his pouches, the archer attached it to the fletching of the arrow and ignited it, aiming for a breach in the crystal. With that, he fired. He didn't know if the arrow would make it all the way through the thorns but the bladed head ought to tear into the crystal and wedge it in, the bomb blowing a good hole and exposing the wolf.

The wolf boy had no luck in trying to free himself from the honey. He was about to bend down and lick it off until he saw them out of the corner of his eyes, the bees that started to climb into his little cocoon. He really wanted to scream and use a jutsu to get him out of this sticky situation. But he knew that the moment he did he would be dead, they were finicky about when to attack by the slightest movement. The blonde was sweating, sweating so much that his eyes were blinded by salty water and blinded him from the arrow that sneaked into the thorns and blew a hole wide open. Okami was speechless, a loud explosion plus bees only equaled major pain for the wolf, guess there was only one choice left now. "OKAY I GIVE I GIVE!"
